Bagels, bagels and more bagels. Visiting NY infrequently I have to have my bagels. Bob's offers a great selection of bagels and sides all fresh and ready to go. Being able to sit and enjoy a fresh bagel sandwich is one of life's small pleasures. Staff is typical NY attitude so if you're expecting unicorns and rainbows move on.

I miss New York bagels! They were so good! I ordered the classic cream cheese with lox, onion and tomato, and the guy helping me recommended capers as well. Nice touch. They have a huge assortment of different flavored cream cheeses and salads. A small sitting area if you want to eat there. Food was delicious I would highly recommend!

A good, but not great, bagel and whitefish salad. But a fabulous black and white cookie! The garlic bagel only had a light sprinkling of garlic - I want one that's so heavily coated the roof of my mouth gets ripped up. The whitefish salad was good but a bit too salty for my taste, and my friend's lox spread didn't have enough lox in it. The bagel was a little too sweet, almost malty, and kind of little. I'm not sure id try this place again.

Bagel Bob's disappointed me for the second time. The bagel was like rubber and the new Cheddar Cream Cheese was tasty but I ended up grossed out by something I started chewing that didn't taste like bacon. I spit it out! The employees are quick to take your order but don't smile or make me feel valued as a customer. Just a routine for the employees. When I heard the price of $6.80 I knew I would not be returning! They are getting one star because they had employees constantly cleaning up the tables and the coffee counter section. I'm going to have to be desperate for a bagel and no place else open in all of Manhattan before I return! We have too many much MUCH better bagel shops on the Upper East Side!

    The bagels

Service as always not the nicest but the bagels make up for it. This time they messed up a little too much. My order was simple, 4 cinnamon raisin and 2 poppy bagels in separate bags. I get home and I have 2 cinnamon raisin and 4 everything bagels. I work in the city and live North of the city so returning them isn't an option especially on the weekend. I called and they asked me to return the bagels instead of just saying we replace them on your next visit c'mon man, I won't be in that area for at least a week.

Bacon egg and cheese. How sad is this.

Oh my goodness, Bob's Bagel used to be amazing. Have gone there for years. They have changed for the worse. Quality is gone. Look at the picture I took of the bacon egg and cheese. It's criminal to sell this to us! Bring Dennis back!!

The random surprise garbage included in my order

I had a bad experience with the quality of both the food and the delivery. The bagel itself was good but there were zero seeds on the everything bagel. There weren't even any seeds in the foil sheet when I opened it. Also, when I opened the order I noticed an extra bag. Inside the bag was what I'm assuming is someone else's garbage? A cup of half eaten yogurt parfait.

The best tuna and freshest bagels I've had in the city. Good tuna is a hard find most are so fishy or too wet. Bobs tuna is perfect.

FOOD: We ordered a bag of 3 bagels-- everything, poppy seed & salt. The bagels were cute, medium sized and served warm/hot. We chose the scallion cream cheese which came in a lil container. Apparently the bagels are not made in the traditional manner, but they were still delicious with great texture and taste. We also ordered the tea (ok) and strawberry lemonade (yum). We enjoyed our bagels on the little countertop area outside. OVERALL: Definitely recommend! A different bagel experience than some other places (as in, those places where you are served bagels topped with cream cheese and other things) but we enjoyed the simplicity of the bagels and controlling the amount of cream cheese.

Anyways, the girls had bookmarked another bagel establishment but the line was hella long like they were giving away Knicks gear for free. Ironically another "bagel shop" search on Yelp showed PopUp Bagels was like three doors down lol. No line! That in itself was making me question but there is a PopUp in San Diego that my daughter swears by. PopUp advertised itself as "Not Famous, but known." Whether or not this bagel is better than the one store three doors up is something I cannot attest to. However I can say THIS WAS A DANG GOOD BAGEL! And it was freshly made! How do I know? It literally burned my fingers when I ripped it open! The pain was worth it. Outside, a slightly crisp texture generously coated with "Everything". Inside was a dense and chewy dough that was pliable but able to withstand the dipping and shmearing of cream cheese (which was smooth). Best I have ever had for sure but then again my most common bagel experience is the place named after a scientist where tons of bagels are sitting in bins for who knows how long. So why wasn't this a 5-star experience? One, I only ate one thing. Two, sevice and setting are "just there". Considering it wasn't busy I would expect a bit more of a welcome. To eat you're bagel you can full on just leave, sit at the three stools inside where it is super hot (bc hey they actually cook), or three stand outside. There is a little, I'll say "patio", where you can stand, eat, and true story, watch two people argue about who gets to sort through the recyclables from the neighborhood eateries. Snack and a show???? I just stood near the door and enjoyed my bagel.
