Toasted Rye Bagel with hummus, Sprouts, Pickled Red Onion ruined because it got cut with a knife that left a cream cheese smear
    J B.

Vegan be careful! We had breakfast there with our family. There were six of us. Two of us had coffee which we mixed 1/2 Dark Harbor and 1/2 French Roast which we enjoyed with some almond milk. Our order: Grandchildren shared a Salt Bagel toasted, with Garlic Herb cream cheese Mini Muffin, The adults (who keep to a vegan diet) got: Medium Iced A "Hummus and all the Veggies" on a toasted Sesame Bagel A "Hummus and all the Veggies" on a toasted While Wheat with Italian Seasonings Bagel which had to be remade because it got cut in the kitchen with a knife that left a cream cheese smear on the sandwich. Toasted Rye (was actually pumpernickle) Bagel with hummus, Sprouts, Pickled Red Onion had to be remade because it got cut with a knife that left a cream cheese smear on vegan order Toasted Whole Wheat Italian Seasonings Bagel with Tofutti (R), Tomato, Red Onion, and Sprouts The bagels are smaller and harder than New York bagels. This might be a Maine style thing. They were tasty despite being small. I was hungry so I had two, which I generally don't do. It's a popular and busy place. They ran out of salt bagels before I could order one. The grandchildren split the last one with an order placed at 8:30am. It's definitely a "get there early if you want a wider selection kind of place." I would go back again but would be very careful to make sure they cleaned their knife before cutting the bagel sandwhich to assure I wasn't getting unwanted dairy in my food. Having to have 2 orders remade due to sloppy kitchen practices is not reassuring that they respect their Vegan customers.

What a great bagel place! There are tables inside to sit and the staff are great. We each had an Italiano bagel with blueberry cream cheese. The bagel was crunchy and the blueberry cream cheese was outstanding. I recommend this place!

Sesame bagel with bacon, egg, and cheddar cheese! (Half, I ate the other half too quickly to capture a picture lol)

This is such a great breakfast and lunch spot! They have so many options of bagels and cream cheeses, as well as many sandwich and salad options. Such fast and pleasant service too, which is really appreciated.

We loved it here so much that we came two out of our three mornings in Camden! We tried the everything bagel and the blueberry bagels with the blueberry or scallion cream cheese. Yum!

My friend and I stopped in Camden for a quick breakfast and coffee on our way to Acadia. What a cute town. Also, what a delicious bagel sandwich! The bagel was soft and chewy and the egg tasted freshly cooked. We decided to try a coffee elsewhere, so no comment on their beverages. Service was quick and friendly.

What an adorable place! Great staff, great bagels, and great atmosphere. The cafe is fairly large and within walking distance from the main area of Camden. I opted for an Asiago bagel with garlic and herb cream cheese plus a hazelnut cold brew. Yummy! Couldn't recommend this place enough.

I added spinach to one of their egg bagel menu options. This is whole wheat everything. I didn't try the challah but it looked delicious!

Decent bagels/sandwiches but very rude staff and poor service over multiple visits. It's a real shame, as it used to be a family favorite.

Great place but they need more staff. Took over 45 minutes for two bagels. Ownership needs to hire more people.

Bagels are too dense. You get a jaw workout chewing them and the outside is stale even first thing in the morning.

Staff were friendly and they have some nice baked goods, a breakfast menu, and a large menu of sandwiches both hot and cold as well as make your own options. The view was nice once our table was cleaned, and the service was friendly and attentive overall. The reason for three stars is really the food. Nothing was terrible, but unfortunately, nothing was very good either. As a longtime restaurant owner, what stood out to me was the lack of attention to detail and the overall quality and quantity of the proteins and ingredients. I have no problem paying $15 for a simple sandwich if it's executed well. But little things add up: a tiny bag of chips, a very small pickle portion, minimal meat, minimal kraut, minimal sauce. It felt like every possible quarter was being shaved off the plate. I understand how difficult it is to make money in restaurants right now, but at some point the guest notices. I ordered the hot Reuben. It really wasn't hot, the bread wasn't crisp, the cheese wasn't properly melted, and the meat quality was fairly lackluster. There simply wasn't much meat, kraut, or sauce to make it feel like a satisfying Reuben. My wife ordered the chicken, artichoke and pesto sandwich. Again, the execution was the issue. The pesto wasn't spread evenly from edge to edge, the cheese wasn't melted, the sandwich wasn't particularly hot, and there were only a couple small pieces of artichoke. That's probably what disappointed me most. These are relatively simple sandwiches, and simple food can be fantastic when the basics are done correctly: crisp the bread, melt the cheese, distribute the condiments evenly, use enough filling, and cut and plate the sandwich with a little care. Those small details make a huge difference. We also had two non-alcoholic beers at $8 each. That isn't outrageous, especially in a tourist area with a view, but $16 for two cans of NA beer still feels like it's pushing the upper end of reasonable. The service was good, the staff was friendly, and the upstairs view was enjoyable. I just wish the same level of care had gone into the sandwiches. I don't write reviews every time I'm disappointed, but after owning a restaurant and responding personally to customer reviews for more than 12 years, I tend to notice these things. Hopefully this is taken as constructive feedback, because the fundamentals here are very fixable.

I ordered: Fra Diavolo Mussels.. Garlic, shallots, tomatoes, spicy marinara, crostini Add linguini So good. This one is spicy! I am a fan of spicy, but not super spicy. This was a good warm spicy. Mussels were smaller but had good flavor. The linguini had soaked up the sauce/broth. Perfect. For Dinner He had the twin lobster dinner. He said he was glad he had both 2 1.5 lb lobsters, he was hungry. I ordered the seafood risotto I should've ordered the Mussels again. The risotto was very thick and rich.
