    The new location is amazing.

Finally made it to the new location. It looks amazing inside. It was packed (which is not surprising) but they have a great system that keeps the line flowing smoothly. The food is delicious - again, not surprising. I'm so glad they moved into the new location because now they're closer to my house. I'm really happy that this seems to be so successful for the owners.

Stopped by this morning around 8am and it was empty. Didn't have to wait in a line and was helped quickly! The young guy that took my order was friendly, the one who rung me up less so. I tried their seasonal drink, the pumpkin chai tea latte. The beverage was delicious and got me in fall spirits! I also grabbed three pastries. The strawberry cheese turnover was pretty tasty. Saving the crumb cake for a treat later. For my four items it was $30. It's a good treat every once in a while, but i find their prices to be a tad steep.

Terrible experience , no sign informing people they couldn't do hot lattes, out of flavors they show as available (multiple flavors). Received drinks after 3 people behind me received similar drinks. staff didn't seem like they knew what they had available and what was going on. When received the drinks they were overflowing with lids not staying sealed which resulted in excess drink spilling on clothes and all through car. Will not go back

The bagels, cream cheese and all the baked goods are delicious. Comfortable atmosphere with an awesome staff. And they are set up for people who are attached to their devices. Tons of outlets and the WiFi worked great. I'm not a coffee drinker but my friend raves about their coffee.

    Lemon cake

Wow!!! Just wow!!! AMAZING food, desserts, and service!!! Only visited once, but must return to try other menu options. Bagels were so tasty and the desserts are out of this world! So hard to choose, but went with the lemon cake.... Was delicious! Thank you BC for choosing Ranson WV

I am creating this review with trepidation as the food at this place is great. I have visited 3 times this week alone. But today I purchased four cannoli's and two pieces of cake that I watched jammed into an undersized container and was handed the results with a chuckle and grin "I kinda squished these". Really indifferent service from a place I had grown to enjoy and go out of my way to patronize. This experience has left me with a bad taste and I will think about it, not the great tasting food, before I go again! Ridiculous!

The food here was really good! I got their special which was an all the meats and egg on a bagel! So good! Their espresso machine was down so I got a chai which was good! The service was so great and very welcoming as they came in. I loved the interior and the atmosphere as you walked in. Would definitely be going back for an another trip to sit and read!

    Blackjack and Craps hot sandwiches

Simply delicious! We're from out of town, about 75 minutes away, and we're seriously talking about driving over here again just so we can get more food from here! Our hot sandwiches (Blackjack and Craps) were some of the BEST we've ever had. Staff were great, helpful and friendly. Coffee was decent and they offer a load of flavored lattes. Would def come back!

The inside gives an older coffee shop vibe and very family owned. The owner is incredibly kind and recognizes everyone that stops by. They have regular and everything bagels and you can get a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, bacon or sausage. The portion is huge and it's delicious. The everything bagel is full of flavor and super fluffy but also a layer of crisp. I had the pizza bagel both mornings we came and it was phenomenal. I still think about it and can't wait to come back. The portion is perfect and it also comes on an everything bagel. They also have a lox bagel and you can get bagels to go. The inside is darling with a large area in the back. Amazing place!

We just wanted…read morea couple of bagels and some coffee, thought it would only take a few minutes but luckily we didn't have any coins smaller than quarters for the parking meter or we would have run out of time waiting. Walked in to the very small space and were told we needed to order online, so we got out our phones and scanned one of the many QR code signs posted on every surface anordered - two bagels, one with cream cheese and the other with butter. He confirmed he received the orders immediately- even before the payment had gone through. That seemed like a good sign. We waited and watched while he made salads and other orders for people who presumably ordered online before us, but didn't come in to pick up while we were there. Eventually he made our bagels, put them in cardboard baskets, covered them with aluminum foil (not sure why we needed that cardboard waste -- would have been happy with my bagel just wrapped in foil), covered them with paper towels, put them each in separate paper bags, and placed them on the counter while calling our names (even though we were the only people in the place and he had confirmed he knew who we were when he received the order). We took the bagels and walked across the street and got our coffees from the cute cat cafe with the friendly staff. Hit the road, and pulled out our bagels in the car. First bite was so bad that I tossed the rest of the bagel back in the bag... it was so crunchy it was more of a thick bagel chip, and shards of bagel stuck between my teeth like splinters. Certainly one-of-a-kind, I've never had another bagel like it. About 10 miles later I was hungry enough to get the bagel out and try again... this time I kneaded it through the aluminum foil a bit to bread it up first. It was still very crunchy and sharp, but there were some softer bits toward the middle. There wasn't much flavor, except where it was drenched in butter (and those bites tasted like butter, which isn't a bad taste I guess). TLDR, if you want bagels in Winchester WV skip this place and go to Sclafani's.

We'd definitely come back here for the bagels, they were fantastic. Jury is still out on their other offeringa. What we got: Sausage, egg, and cheese on toasted everything bagel with cheddar jalapeno cream cheese - 5* it was perfect and amazing and delicious. Of course it was messy to eat but I didn't mind eating it piecemeal. New Yorker on a toasted everything bagel - 5* my partner loved the sandwich. It was cooked through and warm, had a good distribution of pastrami, sauerkraut, and cheese. Wouldn't mind trying it with a cream cheese added in the future. Pepperoni Roll - 1.5* skip it, it was a big disappointment, especially compared to the bagels. The pepperoni were in long sticks and weren't warm, even after getting the roll toasted. The roll also wasn't the best. Not a worthwhile purchase.

**** updated response to owner ***…read more I hear what you're saying about space and production limits, but that's exactly the point. If your setup can't support the volume and variety you're offering, then the issue is planning, not just space. Offering 16+ flavors while running out of plain bagels (or any bagels for that matter) before 10:30am isn't a demand anomaly, it's a mismatch between your menu and your capacity. Make fewer varieties, produce more of the basics, and you don't lose customers walking out. This isn't about comparing you to high-volume shops, it's about getting the fundamentals right. Plain bagels are the baseline. If those are gone, the rest of the menu doesn't really matter. End result is still the same, long wait, no product, lost sale. ***** Waited 12 minutes at Weird Dough Bagels this morning just to be told they were out of multiple bagels, including plain. Plain bagels... gone before 10:30am. If your concept is 16+ flavors, maybe figure out how to not run out of the one thing every single customer expects you to have. This isn't "high demand," it's bad planning. I'm from New York and I've never seen a bagel shop miss on basics like this. And in all the years going to Bodo's Bagels, I've never seen them run out of bagels, period. As a former café owner, running out of core items isn't quirky or artisanal, it's a failure. Walked out without ordering, about a $50 ticket lost because you couldn't manage inventory on the most basic product you sell. Do less, do it better. Right now it's neither.

They have plenty of seating inside and a few tables outside, or you can order to-go. They also have coffee, pastries, and other drinks (soda, water, etc.). Parking is available on the street or in one of the many municipal lots in town, so don't be discouraged by their old town location. Even from a municipal lot, it's a short walk to their shop. They're open during the day now, but are about to start evenings Thurs-Sat with mocktails and melt sandwiches!

I stopped by about an hour before closing, which may have impacted my experience. By that time, a lot of the bagels were already sold out. That said, the menu was very extensive with tons of bagel sandwich options and other items. There's also some indoor seating, and they sell a variety of snacks, drinks, and bottled waters--almost like a small convenience store. This definitely seems like a great spot for a quick breakfast on the go. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. One suggestion I'd make is to invest in paper menus or QR code menus--the menu was a bit hard to read, especially with so many options. I ordered three onion bagels to go, along with a container of plain cream cheese and a smaller chive cream cheese. Unfortunately, the bagels were disappointing. They were pretty hard and didn't have much onion flavor at all. On the bright side, the cream cheese was amazing--both the plain and chive were super creamy and flavorful, easily the highlight of my visit. I'd be willing to give this place another try, but probably closer to opening hours in hopes of getting fresher bagels. I can see why people like it, and I think timing really matters here.
