    East Coast Morning

I ordered the East Coast Morning on an Everything Bagel. The blend of flavors were interesting but delicious! I think maybe ask for minimal cream cheese though so each bite isn't constantly slipping out of the bagel. Overall, I found it to be very delicious and filling.

we stopped in for a little snack & shared a bacon bagel with cream cheese & i got a ice caramel macchiato & they both were delicious, the place is super cute inside & outside. Everyone was nice & friendly, im sure we'll stop by again

We went with Pebble Beach and Big Sur bagels. I wasn't really fussed by either, I should have just got with a classic BEC - looking back don't know why I didn't, would have enjoyed a lot more. Didn't care for the combo of ingredients in either bagel. Seemed like a cool spot. Coffee was decent. Took our food to go.

Top notch for small town eats! Friendly service. Cute modern seating. Staff put time into making great sandwiches. We tried the Lox Lover, Meet Me in NY, and the Chorizo. All good. Each was big and filling. We'll be back for sure. Also Tesla drivers, there's a supercharger across the street. So definitely a good spot to charge while eating.

I love bagel sandwiches when you can find a place but Noah's Franchise Business. At Bagel Kitchen We were greeted warmly and got out order ready as soon we were ready. My fiance had Meet me in New York Bagel and I had the jalapeño bomb. Jalapeño bomb bagel was that the bomb. Very cheesy with lots of avocados and many jalapeños in each bite. It was stuffed just right with the ingredients and it was an out of this world breakfast bagel sandwich. My fiancé had the Meet me in New York bagel. It was so yummy he said. The ingredients and stuffing were spot one. Very delicious. My daughter got a toasted cheese bagel with cream cheese. They definitely were not stubborn on the cream cheese as every bite you tasted cream cheese filling and it wanted to fall out of the bagel. She loved it. The bagel kitchen has lots of chairs and tables and variety of bagels to choose from. If your craving a bagel or bagel sandwich definitely come to the Bage Kitchen.

Walked in and was overwhelmed by the amount of people in here but the service was so fast and friendly regardless! It's 10am and they seem to be running low on bagels which is a good sign. There quite a few guys working behind the counter so it makes sense why the turn over is fast. We ordered the pebble beach and the chorizo bagels which were amazing. Everything ingredient tasted high quality. We also ordered a banana muffin which was moist and perfectly sweet. Definitely want to come back and try other things.

Cool vibes in here, very friendly and helpful staff. They have a pretty simple menu which makes it easy to figure out what you want. Bagels are constantly fresh baked coming hot out of the oven. The chorizo bagel was delicious - chorizo and eggs are fried to order and they top it with fresh slices of avocado high they don't skimp on.

Yummy x1000! These bagels are perfect for brunch and filled with a good amount of ingredients. I don't feel as though they skimped out on anything! You can taste the freshness in every bite! There was a line (it was breakfast time, so of course its going to be busy), but the way staff worked together made the line go quickly. The person taking our order at the counter also made our sandwich, coffee and payment! They all rotated in & out, all hands on deck, loved to see it! Would give 5 stars, but bagels were a little flat, and was a bit pricey (roughly $9 for classic w/o avocado, & roughly $13 for the ECM), BUT, like I mentioned, ingredients tasted fresh. As a Southern California local, when visiting the area again my boyfriend and I will definitely be back!

So so delicious! Absolutely loved the bagel with lox & cream cheese, & cheeseburger with onion rings was well-cooked & flavorful (if you're looking for options outside of just bagels!). Staff was so welcoming & friendly, & bagel selection was plentiful (I went with a standard sesame seed). I would definitely recommend this location if you're in the area!

Hi, just checking to see if you still offered gluten-free bagels?

Do you have gluten free bagels?

Yes we do! We usually keep them stocked in the back so that they don’t accidentally get mixed up in a basket full of regular bagels :)

Do they boil their bagels before baking?

Also, the bottle of water I later got didn't seem to cost an arm and a leg, either. My husband did have and like the French toast coffee. Service seemed quick and they are very nice. Sometimes they've been lovely and bubbly, but for some reason this one blonde staff member never seems like she actually wants to help. I had some questions on summer specials since "refresher" doesn't tell me much and she kept telling me about other drinks instead and being super short. The whole interaction still only had to have taken 2 min with only one person (who had been there for a bit already and seems local/older) behind me. Yet the minute I paid, even though I apologized for the questions and tipped, she loudly and passive aggressively said "sorry for the wait" to the next person right in front of me and they both laughed right in front of my face. I read the other review of the person who said they'd been here a bunch and usually loved it and then had a bad interaction and are also not like the "usual" demo of PG - I am also a person of color who was made to feel the same way. Such a shame what one bad impression can leave. Multiple comments about this has to be more than a coincidence... The new gold standard…read more Alta is the new gold standard by which I will unfortunately be judging every bakery from now on. Get there early or prepare to wait in line--the secret is very much out. And deservedly so. The staff is exceptionally friendly, the setting is wonderful, and somehow the food tastes even better than it looks, which is an accomplishment considering the artistry coming out of the pastry case. Alta occupies part of the historic Cooper-Molera Adobe complex, and its back garden may be one of the loveliest places I've ever eaten breakfast. Passionflowers tumble over walls and trellises, potted plants and mature trees soften the courtyard, and shade sails make it an incredibly pleasant place to linger over coffee and pastry. It feels less like café seating and more like breakfast in a particularly lovely California garden. And then there's the food. I came back two mornings in a row. The first day's quiche was ham and roasted pepper; the second was cheese and mushroom. Both were outstanding. The egg filling had this almost impossibly silky quality, with a beautifully browned top and crisp, buttery crust. I found myself deliberately slowing down because I genuinely wanted to savor every bite. The pistachio-rose swirl was exceptional: delicate, flaky layers with honey, pistachio and rose playing off one another without becoming cloyingly sweet or perfumey. It's the sort of pastry that reminds you what laminated dough is actually supposed to be. The maple-bacon swirl was the only thing that didn't quite reach the same stratospheric level. The flavor was good, but the rendered bacon fat seemed to fuse some of those beautiful layers together during baking. At most bakeries I probably still would have called it very good. Alta had simply set an absurdly high standard for itself. Then a table beside me ordered the smoked-salmon toast, I saw it arrive, and resistance became pointless. Warm, hearty, thick-cut bread topped with crème fraîche, radish, pickled red onion, greens and a genuinely generous amount of smoked salmon. A triumph. Even the pistachio-honey latte was a dream. I can't rave about Alta enough. My only complaint is that I didn't have more mornings in Monterey to work my way through the rest of the menu. It was one of the culinary highlights of the entire trip and is now my benchmark for what an excellent bakery can be. Alta, you have ruined lesser bakeries for me. Five stars. No notes. Except: make more pastries. I have unfinished business.
