The meetinghouse is a great place to be. I remember when it was juice and Java, which used to be really great, but I'd argue this is even better. My matcha was earthy and just the right amount of sweet. The cookie I got was huge and seemed like it was made with good butter. The staff behind the counter were kind and efficient. Im excited to come back for their early evening offerings with friends. It definitely makes downtown PG feel more alive. read more

Popped in for a cocktail and some live jazz last night on the recommendation of Scott the owner. Man, that was some good stuff! Very small, very intimate coffeehouse setting. The music was really, really good. I kept thinking of Vince Guaraldi and Bill Evans! The decor is eclectic but oddly harmonious. Coffee, cocktails, jazz, a fireplace, and community? Pretty good. The cast of characters peppered throughout the venue really adds to the ambiance: there's a kind of quirky benevolence floating through the air and it's nice to hang out there. If PG MeetingHouse were a home-cooked stew, and Scott the cook, he's not cooking from a recipe; he's intuitively grabbing what's fresh and what he has on hand, mixing it up with a little love, spice, and personality, and you wouldn't think it all goes together, but somehow it does, and I'm coming back for seconds. read more

Love this place. It's like the 90s coffeehouse aesthetic but with artwork on the walls - literally and hung. Also fireplace with a couch nearby. Good coffee. My go-to for a London Fog during the early afternoon after lunch. They have live relaxing music every now and then then with a relaxed atmosphere. Not usually a line with plenty of comfy seating. Even if there are a lot of people it doesn't feel crowded. Pretty spacious too. Service is good. On my biweekly visit to the Monterey area and the beautiful little town of Pacific Grove Ca. I wanted to find a good coffee spot. I had a craving for some sort of specialty drink; an espresso type treat to go along with the beauty the town offers. I have to say--this place is pretty special and could see myself spending lots of time there studying. The couches looked so comfy and inviting. I was passing through so I didn't take the luxury of sitting down, but a really nice older gentleman sitting on one with his dog by his side, was very nice and engaged me with some conversation. Other than my drink "those were the highlight" on my visit here. Customer service could have been more inviting and more helpful. Considering I did mention to the person about to help me out, that I DID SEARCH THEIR establishment on YELP and noticed they had lots of 5 star reviews. That obviously went over their head. There were two young ladies on staff when I walked in and neither greeted me until I was literally standing in front of them. Not to mention the bad language used in their conversation with one another. Mind you this is beautiful Pacific Grove--how could anyone be sad or unhappy in such a beautiful town. In any case I would suggest in any business. Everyone should be greeted with a simple "welcome in" or "good morning/evening etc" Unfortunately this didn't happen THIS TIME! We were walking by, across the street from this place, and heard some Christmas jazz going on. So we walked over. They had a wonderful jazz band and singers doing Christmas music. The band was fabulous! Coffee we ordered was wonderful! Staff wasn't very friendly or personable, but we had a good time. And the music was lovely. read more

Went there for karaoke night, posted 6:30pm on website, host not taking sign up til 7pm, 7:15pm still not letting any of the 3 people who signed up to sing, finally asked him when will he start, host replied when more people show up...wtf...karaoke singers just want to sing their heart out and have fun, this host is out of touch,dull and does not know how to get the party started and going, we left and will never come back here and will spread the word how disappointing this karaoke gig at the PG Meeting House. read more

Personally not a fan of the name change. But I could get used to it. Service here is always quick and the ambiance is nice with the background music and couches. My wife and I were in Pacific Grove and were in need of Coffee. We found this place and were glad we tried it. The ambiance is great with many places to comfortably sit and enjoy your coffee. They have tables and chairs and also soft, plushy couches. The service is great, with friendly people. The default vessel for your drink is a paper cup. However, if you request it, they will serve it in a proper ceramic cup so that you can sit for a while and enjoy your drink. The execution by the barista was great; the coffees were perfectly done. I had a cappuccino (double size $4.60) and my wife had a white mocha late (16 oz $5.10) with a slice of lemon cake ($2.95). Everything tasted great. read more

I visit Pacific Grove a few times a year. I used to look forward to coming here so much. Our favorite thing was the smoothies before the name change. This last visit was really disappointing. We got a mango strawberry smoothie and it was so watery. It didn't taste like fruit at all. Just ice. Not to mention they used to have so much flavor and was only $5. We came home and would say we can't wait to go back and get the smoothies especially. So much flavor and a great price compared to Jamba Juice. This visit it was water with a little strawberry and they raised the prices $7. I get inflation and they bought it out but at least make it taste good again. We also got a pumpkin spice latte. It was bitter like the coffee was burnt. Really disappointing. Considering there are a few other coffee places within a few blocks, go to the other instead! read more

Wandered into Juice & Java after a nice sea breeze gave us a chill. No one in our group had been here before but overall we enjoyed our experience Pros: 1. Staff was nice 2. Prices were very affordable (4 drinks for $17) 3. We all enjoyed our lattes and teas 4. Coffee shop was eclectic and had a fun vibe Cons: 1. Bathroom was pretty gross. Built up filth on the floor corners and plenty of urine dried on the floor. The bathroom had no where to hang a purse (or the bathroom key on awkward rod that you need to get in) and no paper towels. If I didn't use the restroom my review would be 5/5. I'd recommend staff services the bathroom more regularly and a hook is installed to hang the key on. read more

Stopped by after picking up my kids from school and was pleasantly surprised. The cappuccino was smooth and the shop was spotless.

My husband and I were in the area and in need of a caffeine fix. We found this coffee shop quickly with google and headed over. We had one of the most bizarre and horrible experience here! We noticed they had a sign stating they would be closed at 4:00. We checked the time and noticed we had at least half an hour left, so we decided to give it a go. We were greeted by a very friendly man who took our orders, but that was the best thing about this place. I noticed they had a mocha chai. I asked if that could be made into an iced drink and he told me "I've been told it may not mix well". I thought that was really strange since I've had plenty of Iced chais before, but thought ok, he works here, he must know what he's talking about and went ahead and got the drink hot. My husband ordered a mocha and also asked for it iced to which he stated he stated the same thing he told me about the drink not mixing. My husband decided to roll the dice and got the iced mocha anyways. We watched him make our drinks and that's when I watched in horror as he scooped up some chai powder and then proceeded to pour hot, regular, drip coffee over it. He stirred it and handed it to me. He did the same with my husband's drink. He mixed the mocha powder with some hot coffee, filled the cup up ice and topped it off with more coffee. We did try the drinks and they tasted HORRIBLE. I have no idea why our drinks were made in this fashion. We tossed our drinks out as soon as we left. The customer service was, but the coffee was absolute trash. I'm really hoping this was just our experience. There were many people in the coffee shop and they all seemed very content. read more

On a roadtrip up north and needed to stop for an early morning cup of joe. There weren't many options, but this seemed like the place. We were the only people in the store. The employee was wearing a mask and sanitizer was Abdallah at the entrance. We ordered a couple cups of coffee, which were promptly served. Because of sanitary reasons, the employee added our cream and we picked up a couple packets of sugar and heading back to the car. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and efficient. Coffee was decent and did its job. The inside looks like a a relaxing place to work or enjoy the large fireplace. Unfortunately none of that was absolve at the time because of COCID19. I discovered this place last February on a visit to PG when it was called Java & Juice. I got the Smoothies and Mocha coffee. The Smoothies were so good that I got them every day when I was there. They were about 5 bucks and better than Jamba Juice. I came back to PG in May, and it was just as good. The coffee was a solid cup of Joe. The ambiance was nice. Very clean and was inviting. Also the service was great. The lady that made our smoothies had extra smoothies and poured them into a small cup to make a "rainbow" smoothie. My daughter liked it a lot. They were also very friendly. I came back Last week and found out that the place was bought out and the name changed. Oh how things have changed. The smoothies Prices increase and now are more expensive than Jamba Juice, but the quality was not even close to what it used to be and not to what I was expecting. Very watery and not much fruit. Definitely not getting moneys worth. I don't understand how in a few months "inflation" caused the price to increase 40% and the lack of fruit makes no sense at all. Seams more likely the owner raised prices because he bought out the other owner and cut back on the quality to make bigger profit. The service was very lacking and the place looked very messy. Next to the order counter was an area that had a bunch of stuff spread all over it (like schedules and work stuff). Most of the tables were "reserved". I went 2 day and both days they were "reserved". The 2nd day I skipped on the water fruit they called smoothies and ordered coffee. That was a mistake. It's hard to mess up expresso, but they did. tasted burnt. Went up the street to a book store and ordered coffee and it was way better. Will not go back to the PG house. My advice would to go to Jamba Juice and go up the street to the Book store to have a decent cup of Joe and avoid meeting at the PG meeting house. read more

Their Quiche is old and mushi which idk it is what it is. I'd rather buy a quiche from Costco though. This may be a one off experience but my coffee was SCALDING hot. Like I now have to wait 1 hour to drink it. There is one young girl in there that was all alone and not well trained. I will wait for an employee I recognize or I'm just not risking it anymore. This is the 3rd time a new girl has made the drink far far far like lawsuit far too hot. I'm just not impressed. This place is ok if the tall guy with brown hair, i want to say, is working but the staff needs real training. Just my opinion. The place itself is cool. They have couches inside and the ambiance is very relaxed a d cozy. The bathroom is brand new but needs a deep clean, a stocking of towels and something done for the smell. I get there is only so much an owner can do to a place but idk even a tined spray device. It smells straight up like sewer in there. I won't be back for a while. Maybe in a few months I'll try again. They're a juice place that doesn't have juice. They don't have a website. Finding anything out about this place is pretty much Yelp only. It takes like an hour to throw up a restaurant website these days on Square Space or similar. Marketing 101. Overhead the owner and some "consultant" making plans to make it like a Quaker meeting room... because, yeah, total silence would improve this place. And the owner said he'd talk to the head of social media. It was hard not to cry with laughter listening to these two. Come on... I like drugs too - but wtf are you people smoking? I totally expected to meet Kitchen Nightmare's Gordon Ramsey here. FWIW I've done a decade in this industry... if you're this lost just close. But - at the minimum - hire someone who has done this before - because whoever is running this place is beyond clueless and hiring wack jobs to help him. read more

This is a great spot to enjoy your coffee. Lots of seating and a bathroom for customers, which isn't an option at every place downtown. We had iced vanilla lattes with oat milk and they were great. They only have one size for iced drinks, but the prices are very reasonable. read more

This location is right by where we live, and I think it's a great spot to go in if you need to study or just grab a small bite to eat. We went and got a iced soy vanilla latte, a ham quiche, and a spinach quiche. The only reason that I docked a star was because I think you could get a better quiche or better latte around town. The quiche unfortunately was a bit salty, and wasn't warm even though it was heated up when we returned home. I also personally was not a huge fan of the latte, which if you are in Pacific Grove, means that the price also exactly cheap. Overall though, I think it's a nice location. I've always had nice interactions with the people working there, and the vibe is quiet if you are searching for a study location. read more
