$2/bagel! Bagel Market Cafe has bagels, bialy, donuts, and breakfast sandwiches. I'm vegan so I had a bagel, but my family enjoyed the donuts and a breakfast sandwich. Quick service, clear prices, easy parking, freshly baked yumminess! I picked up extra bagels to freeze and have for later. There is outdoor seating available.

Such a nice local bagel shop! Lots of fresh bagels, donuts and pastries. Staff was super friendly and quick service. Bagel was really good with the perfect amount of cream cheese and fresh veggies.

I'm bringing a dozen bagels to my buddies in San Diego because they are that good.

I grew up in SB and my grandparents would take me here when I was kid. 30 years later, i'm still going. Their doughnuts are fantastic, but their bagels are out of this world. I live in San Diego now, but whenever i visit my parents, I always stop here on my way back south. I'm a huge bagel fan and i have yet to find a place as good as this anywhere else.

The best bagel Sammie's in town! I am obsessed with the Classic Sliced Lox Bagel or any of the breakfast bagels. Service is always fast and great. Bagels are fresh and delicious.

I like this place very much. always fresh bagels. many different toppings. many different types of bagels. I eat breakfast here very often. unfortunately there is no place to sit and eat. my favourite hummus on "everything bagel". but I really don't like that they don't allow dogs to come in. they seem to hate dogs and every time they talk about it rudely

I've been going here for a couple years now semi frequently, and it's always just been okay. They mess up on orders semi frequently but their price point is okay. Sometimes the bagels are good sometimes they're not, the workers are nice though. I went today and I won't be going back for a very long time I think, one of my bagels had hairs baked into it. Yuck

I ordered the Santa Barbara breakfast sandwich with sausage and there was nothing really memorable about it. It has egg, tomato, red onions and avocado. There is some sort of spread that tasted like lemon and pepper in it, the jury is still out on the flow or of that spread. I got the sandwich with an everything bagel which I felt was a little hard to chew. You have the option to choose a protein between ham, sausage. The staff is ok. Currently they are doing to-go orders only no dine in due to Covid. I went in at about 11AM and they were pretty much cleared out of donuts and bagels so go early if you want options.

This bagel shop operates in a single room looking house, it's very quaint and decorated very cozily inside. They have a bathroom for customers and plenty of outdoor seating, as the inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side. The bagels here are incredible! Very soft and pillowy textures with lots of flavor. I love the unique flavors for both the bagels and the cream cheeses. It was so fun and delicious getting to try them. Ikura - 10/5, the soy sauce-cured ikura was some of the best I've ever had! It paired so well with the tobiko cream cheese and furikake bagel. The pickled onions were a great touch. I love this flavor combination, it was an umami bomb! Heirloom tomato - 5/5, paired this with the garlic herb cream cheese and jalapeño cheddar bagel. This is such a classic summer seasonal bagel, and I loved the chives on top of the heirloom tomatoes. Very delicate and delicious flavors. Lox - 3/5, a decent lox bagel but underwhelming in comparison to the other options and flavors available. The gravlax lacked flavor, and I felt like it was undersalted during the curing process. Pinoy Palmer- 5/5, a delicious mango iced tea with calamansi juice. I thought this was a fun Filipino twist on the drink. I would have liked a bit more calamansi juice to make it brighter and sweeter, but it was still definitely tasty! Caramelized banana latte - 5/5, delicious sweet coffee with a hint of banana flavor. I personally love banana so I wouldn't mind it being stronger, but this way anyone can its subtlety.

There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and I believe the shop could benefit from having a PA system/secondary pickup window to announce orders, so the interior doesn't become too crowded with the long line carrying up the stairs. There's only one way in and out by the looks of it. Interestingly on this visit, there were numerous people with the same name picking up similar orders (my drink included, which was initially taken by the other Christina, but we worked it out) - it may be beneficial to announce orders by number instead of name in the future. I ordered the Ikura special on a furikake (seaweed and sesame) bagel with tobiko cream cheese. Exquisite combo if you're looking for a reminiscence of Japanese flavors on a very American dish. Highly recommend. I also ordered the Pinoy Palmer which includes kalamansi juice (a tart, sweet citrus) mixed with mango black tea. I think the ratio could use more kalamansi personally.

Perfect Valentine's Day Breakfast Stop…read more Every time I'm driving into Los Angeles, I stop on State Street to charge my car -- and today (February 14th ) we decided to grab breakfast while we waited. Best decision ever. We stumbled upon this adorable donut shop, and they had the cutest Valentine's-themed donuts decorated for the day. My daughter immediately chose the chocolate one. I honestly didn't think she'd love it... but she ate the entire thing without hesitation. That says everything. Of course, I grabbed some donut holes for the road -- because that's just tradition at this point -- but the real star? The bagel sandwich. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, and (because why not?) extra cheddar. It was DIVINE. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, flavorful, just the right kick from the jalapeño cheddar -- I'm still thinking about it hours later. I may have to stop again on the way home because I genuinely can't get that taste out of my mind. If you're passing through State Street, do yourself a favor and try this place. Absolute gem.

We got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches on both bagels and croissants, and they were so good. The sandwiches were filling on their own, but we couldn't pass up trying some doughnuts too. Our favorites were the apple fritters and the cronut holes--they were fresh and delicious. The service was fantastic. It was just a mom and daughter running the shop, and they did an amazing job getting orders out quickly while still taking the time to chat with customers. They made us feel really welcome. The shop is small, which makes it great for grabbing breakfast to go, and everything was clean, which we always appreciate. We'd definitely stop here again the next time we're in the area!

We sat outside, they brought our orders out to us. Very busy, lots of foot and parking lot traffic on Saturday morning. If that's your vibe, go there. I was just looking for a classic bacon, egg, and cheese, so luckily we found Jack's. When you walk in, it feels just like an old school neighborhood donut shop, except they're serving bagels and coffee. My bacon, egg, and cheese was delicious. I ordered it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it hit the spot. For a $7 bagel, this was fantastic. Filling, flavorful, and the schmear was on point. My wife, on the other hand, ordered the bagel and lox. This was a bit of a letdown. The cream cheese was delicious and the sesame bagel itself was great, but it was definitely lacking the lox. Truthfully, it felt more like a cream cheese bagel with just a little bit of salmon. That said, considering the price, it honestly makes sense. Not trying to take anything away from the place because overall it was great. The service was super friendly, attentive, and just easygoing. You could definitely tell they have regulars who come in every day because it felt like one big family in there. Last but not least, the black coffee was surprisingly fresh and bold. Nothing fancy, just a really solid cup of coffee. Would I come here again? Definitely. Anytime I'm in Santa Barbara, I'd happily stop by again.

We tried multiple other places that didn't have outdoor seating (so not dog friendly), but then we found Caje on State Street. It's on a protected set of streets where there are lots of shops and stores. There's common outdoor seating just outside the store, which met our objective of hanging out with the dog. Granted it was a hot day, but this store was really really hot inside, like unpleasantly so. I felt bad for the barista! The coffee is reasonably priced, all things considered (fancy flavors, Santa Barbara, crowded location) and the flavor was nice and not one I've personally had before. I asked to go light on the ice and they did a good job there. The wait was a bit long, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was all fine. Good place to stop and relax and have a good tasting coffee.

The location is nice, but it felt really hot inside. The space is small so there's not much seating inside, but they have a small outdoor seating area out front and additional seating options around the corner. They were almost out of pastries so we split their last two croissants amongst the four of us. The croissants were probably my favorite part of the visit. Most of our group seemed to be okay with their coffee choices, but overall no one was overly enthusiastic about their drink so we'd say it's about average. I ordered the iced chai latte and it was probably the worst drink I've had at a coffee shop. It was pretty much a big glass of milk with some chai spices mixed in. Very disappointing. I ended up throwing most of it away. Their staff was okay, but nothing stood out about their service so the experience here overall was pretty mediocre at best.
