Woke up at the house and had no coffee or eggs so we order in from the Bagel Market Cafe and it truly did not disappoint. The egg and bacon bagel was delicious with a fluffy folded egg and lots of bacon. Sometimes bagels can be a bit tough but the combination and freshness was perfection. My son and husband had their bagels with lox and said it was the best they ever had and both have lived in New York! I ordered the Santa Barbara breakfast sandwich with sausage and there was nothing really memorable about it. It has egg, tomato, red onions and avocado. There is some sort of spread that tasted like lemon and pepper in it, the jury is still out on the flow or of that spread. I got the sandwich with an everything bagel which I felt was a little hard to chew. You have the option to choose a protein between ham, sausage. The staff is ok. Stroller in about 1 ish, first time. Was greeted by the gentleman behind the counter. We looked over the menu and a breakfast bagel sounded so good, and luckily they served it all day. So I got a breakfast bagel on a plain,while the husband got it on a jalapeño bagel. We also got a lox bagel and it was amazing! The bagels were chewy and perfectly toasted. The lox bagel had Lemon pepper seasoning on it and a nice touch of cucumber. I dug into the lox bagel so I didn't get a pic but trust; it's delicious. Only thing I would add to the breakfast bagel is a sauce like a Tabasco mayo or sriracha mayo, it would take it to that next level. Overall, I will absolutely make the trek to the Mesa to get some more bagel sandwiches and they have bialys!! They were out when we went so I will have to come earlier. read more

After enjoying the day in beautiful Santa Barbara with the pupper, a craving for a sammie overtook me. Any ol' Subway chain would not do. And I wasn't in the mood to be around a crowd at a grocery deli station. I just wanted a nice, quiet, quaint, lil spot. Thank heaven this place came through. Totally hidden. Totally quiet. But packs a big bagel sammie punch! Their bagels are chewy and fresh. I love Thanksgiving...especially on a sandwich. Generous layers of turkey, with a toothpick to hold all of the goodness together. Best "Old Fashioneds" in Town! If you're like my where you have those strongly particular cravings where you just need that one item just the way you like it and that item happens to be a quality Old Fashioned donut, Bagel Market has got you covered friend! The staff are very kind and attentive, the line is never unreasonably long, they have outdoor and indoor seating, and the variety is always plentiful. I've had many of their donuts and never one complaint. Of course my favorite is their glazed Old Fashioned but I would also recommend just the common vanilla with sprinkles and maple old fashioned. This also seems to be my go to hangover spot as their Santa Barbara Coffee Roasters Vanilla Nut alongside a spicy breakfast sandwich also puts my back on my feet and for an inexpensive price. They have papers you can read and tvs you can tune into as well if you're looking for a morning spot to hangout and slowly wake up at. Would definitely recommend for all bagel and donut lovers, or even those just looking for an affordable and yummy cup of coffee in the morning while not having to wait in those long Starbs lines. Some really good bagels can be found here. Bagel Market Cafe is essentially a glorified donut shop, offering the standard fare along with a number of bagel sandwich options. It's very no-frills and rudimentary inside, but the service is prompt and the prices are very good for the quality. They even accept Apple Pay! I love the light and fluffy donuts. These days, I only opt for a small one - but boy, does it pack in a punch. Very fresh and flavorful, I've really had nothing else quite like them. The bagel sandwiches are very good, too. Most come with fresh veggies, egg, and meat. I highly recommend the bacon, it's juicy and oh-so savory. It's a lot of sandwich for a low price tag. The sandwiches start at (I believe) $6 and go up to $10.95 for the lox variation. Another Yelper claimed he paid over $13 for his bagel sandwich and I'm assuming he went to the wrong place because NOTHING on their menu is priced that high.
