I don't even give this establishment a second glance every time I pass it. All I know is that this is the place where my boss buys bagels for the office. Today, for some unknown reason, we decided to eat here. There was not much into the building. The place is old and the furniture looks like it has seen better days. Anyway, I ordered a lettuce wrap bacon avocado burger. And boy, was I in for a surprise. The burger was juicy, the lettuce was crisp but what really made it special were the bacon and avocado. You don't just get 2 slices of bacon or half avocado. This burger was piled with avocado and bacon up to the last bite! I need to eat here again to see if the quality is consistent. 1) Price point at least 25% higher than what this place could rightfully get away with. 2) I ordered a bacon and egg garlic bagel sandwich which costed $9. Bagel not buttered as I asked, bagel not cut in half as I asked, bagel not held together with toothpicks as it should be for takeout orders. 3) Cinnamon apples that were advertised on the menu to accompany my $9 bagel sandwich were excluded from the order. 4) I ordered a small coffee also. A cup was handed to me, I walked over to the coffee station to fill, only drops were left. Only refined sugar was available as a sweetener with powdered, fake creamer. I paid over $12 for an order that was incomplete. If you intend to charge so much for a small cup of coffee you need to have fixings available. This place is super addicting. Bagels are my weak spot and I've fallen in love with the turkey, bacon, and Swiss bagel sandwich. On an egg bagel it tastes delicious, especially with the mustard! They're really generous with the turkey and bacon, unlike some places which put on a few thin pieces of meat and try to cover the rest of it up with veggies. I usually end up ordering this as a late breakfast/early lunch because it's very filling! read more

Let me say first off the food is fantastic here. And I do recommend. But we went there today at 1:40pm and ordered to eat in. The young lady behind the counter said they close at 2pm but we figured we'd have time to finish our meal. Food arrived at 1:51 and she again said they close in 9 minutes. But restaurants will always allow people to finish their meal even after closing. Well not the case. At 1:58pm the girl brings us two to-go containers and says we need to pack up our (now half-eaten) meals and finish the rest at home. I couldn't believe it. We just spent $28 on two cheeseburgers & fries and we have to quit and leave to eat the rest elsewhere? We would have been done in 5 minutes. So here I am standing outside of Bagel Me. I have been a customer since High School and I'm 35 now so I love me some Bagel Me. I usually go to the VP location since I live down the street but I was on my way to work and wanted a daily dose of a bagel and smoothie. Well it's 6:11am and guess what they still aren't open. 6 bagels - $10.14 / 12 bagels - $14.95 A sign there says - 30 minutes before closing 1/2 off price for a dozen bagels. I go there specifically for the 1/2 off price, pick my 12 bagels and get charged $10.14. When I said that 1/2 off the $14.95 price is approximately $7.50, the nice young man at the counter says he was told to charge the 6-bagel price. I then asked for a refund. I can afford the $2.64 difference. But, that's not the point. This is annoying at the least, but more serious - it is false advertising. Fix the sign or fix the price. You have lost me as a customer. And let's hope the bagels I touched don't make its way back into the self-serve bins for tomorrow's customers. read more

This place has been in my city for years and it shows. The building is a piece of crap. It was 90 degrees outside and no air conditioning on. The workers there acted like they hated their job. Their bagel bins were next to empty. They had no breakfast menu posted on wall so if you didn't know to go to counter and get the actual breakfast menu, you would have no idea what to order. We ordered 2 bfast sandwiches one with sausage and cheese and the other with eggs, and other goodies. We got an orange juice and a coffee and it was over $30. FOR BAGEL SANDWICHES. Let's start with my sandwich. I don't eat eggs so I got sausage and cheese on a cheese and everything bagel. First of all they put three pathetic farmer John sausage links on the sandwich leaving over half bagel with nothing. Why wouldn't they use sausage patties which would fit the shape way better? My orange juice was warm and tasted like fake oranges nothing fresh about. I don't even think the juice was Tropicana. Tasted more like sunny D or something equally disgusting. My husbands bagel was ok. His eggs were cooked like crap. He said they tasted microwaved. Overall a very poor experience and I feel completely taken advantage of. I resent the fact this place feels like they can charge you these rates. It should be criminal. The food, ambience and service all sucked. Average price of a Noah's bagel breakfast sandwich is $7.50 - $8.50. Ours were each $11.25. Where does this place get off serving sub par products and jacking the prices up? Brueggers Bagels also about $9.00 - $10.00 per sandwich but facilities are cleaner, food tastes better, staff is more friendly, ac is on. If your traveling to Tustin this is MUST MISS. Don't waste your time. To the owner of this place, if this is the level of service and quality you feel your customers deserve, then please close down. If you have to charge such obscene prices then you need to shut that place down. You should be in jail charging these prices to sit on that dump sweating profusely. I've been here a couple of times before Covid and then this year I was looking for a pumpkin bage. The chain bagel shops were not making them and I saw they had them still. After reading the reviews, I'd have to say it's ok. The bagels are good but they are self serve still which I'm not sure how you are able to have that during this time. I thought all places had to have them sealed and handed by only the employees. But the sign told me to grab a tissue and grab my bagels. Ok. I figured I'd take a chance since I'm going wanting my 1pumpkin bagel for the season. I took it and went to pay. The ladies were helpful but you do have to grab their attn. No, may I help you. I see why it's only 3 stars. I was in a hurry and just stopped by to get a simple bagel with lox & cream cheese. One employee was at the register helping a customer, so I was looking at the menus while waiting. A second employee came to the registers but apparently just wanted to hang out and talk to someone who wasn't ordering anything, which felt rude. I was finally able to place my order and just as it was finished and put into a box another employee came in. Not sure if she was a manager or just someone with juicy gossip, but suddenly she had everyone's attention as they stood there talking. No one could be bothered to hand me my order so I could leave. After a good 2 minutes someone apparently remembered they worked somewhere that needed to serve customers and they finally handed me my order without any apology for wasting time. I got to my office and opened the box to find that my ridiculously expensive bagel (nearly $10) had very little lox. I hoped it was amazing lox for the price but on the first bite I realized it was very basic with nothing special. I frequently get a bagel and lox as a breakfast item when I'm away from my area, and I have never paid this much for a single bagel. I do have to admit that the bagel itself was decent with a good chew, but it's not enough to make me want to subject myself to the poor customer service or low value for my money again. read more

I discovered this little gem on Doordash and I'm so glad I did! The price point is a bit higher (not astronomical though), but the breakfast sandwiches I've ordered are open-faced. So you get double the egg/meat of a normal sandwich. I use them for 2 meals, and that's plenty of food for me. I love this place and will continue to order when I'm in the mood for a hearty breakfast sandwich. Also they sent both ketchup AND ranch with my fries, even though I didn't ask for it. I'm not familiar with their lunch menu. I ordered their egg, jack, avocado, tomato "egg melt" ($6.45). It was served open faced. It tasted just like you'd imagine all those things would taste together with no other seasoning of any kind. I think if I added hot sauce I would've liked it more Turkey breast sandwich ($7.10): S.O. ordered this and he said it was okay. The food doesn't really stand out but it's good enough to go back. The items are served with a side of "baked apples" which is basically apple sauce. The serving is really small. I love their bagels. But the city of Tustin destroyed my routine of walking 1.6 miles to this place from home, Then I'd sit and have my bagel, coffee, and cream cheese with a newspaper or magazine in hand, then walk briskly back home. They now have reduced seating because all of Newport Blvd. is vehicles only street, so no parking on Newport. Now there is only their small parking lot and a few tables. I still walk there a few times a month, get a bagel or two to go, and walk straight back home. The bagels are way oversize and they use natural flavors. If you get them when they first bake it, it's smells so good and is just soft enough. These real flavorings costs a lot more than using artificial, chemically created flavors, but it's worth it. My favorite as others have said is the sugar cinnamon Glazer, but I also like the cheese with jalapeno for making a chicken sandwich at lunch. Though I love the large size, my snooty New York City friends say Bagel Me bagels are too doughy, and can't compare with theirs texture wise. They claim maybe it's cause a perfect bagel is boiled only in NYC tap water before baking. LOL.Whatever guys, you're still my friends despite your NYC false superiority complex. I do love NYC but their sports fans and foodies are sometimes obnoxious! I love their coffees and freshly squeezed OJ. I have never tried the sandwiches or smoothies, though I hear they're great. I've been going to Bagel Me for several years now. My brother and I love getting the bagels with all the... stuff (sorry for the poor vocab) on it. We usually get the tomato and cucumber with cream cheese, veggie melt, and one with egg, bacon and melted cheddar cheese. I'm not sure if the last one is an actual menu item but we always get it. It may not necessarily be the healthiest breakfast choice but it sure beats out Del Taco or McDonald's. It always leaves me satisfied so I definitely recommend Bagel Me. One word of caution, the bagels with the eggs tend to be a bit on the bland side. But nothing that a little bit of salt and hot sauce won't fix. read more

Man, this place is seriously disappointing. To start, the bagels are great. The cream cheese is great too! These are literally the only two reasons we've kept coming back. Other that that, this place is a serious let down. Customer service here is horrid and extremely frustrating. It's like going to McDonald's because you love fries with a milkshake, but you know that every time you go the employee will tell you the ice cream machine is broken. It's that dissapointing. Countless times they've forgot about drinks we've ordered. It's sad knowing when we go there I have an 80% chance of having to go ask the cashier where our drinks are. Additionally, they're all very dry and have no personality - it won't kill you to put a smile on your face! Typically we order our drinks and bagels, then the crew up front just starts talking to each other for 5 - 10 minutes - EVEN though we JUST placed a drink order with them. I've worked in a restaraunt before and scream inside my head when this happens. The ladies and cooks in the back are great though, keep doing what your doing and putting out killer bagels. Additionally, can management please please PLEASE buy a couple cans of paint to finish the interior of the place? It looks old and worn out; a coat of paint could do you wonders. I waited 20 mins for a blended mocha because there was only one person at the cash register taking orders, phone orders, and also making the drinks. Really really upset. I usually love this place but I'm not sure if I'll go back after today. I go in and place my to go order and the girl who took my order was probably new because I had to repeat my order a few times. Which is fine I'm patient and understand that you will have new people training. So afterwards I leave to sit waiting on my to go order and I wait and wait and wait. 30 min passes by and go up to see what's going on because it's never taken this long for one bagel and a muffin to be ready.i go back up to three counter to ask about my order and this guy that is usually there in the mornings helps me out. At first he couldn't find my order. I had to show him the charge on my card to prove that I placed an order. Then him and the girl that originally helped me tried looking for the paper slip to my order. Turns out my order was lost. The girl taking my order probably lost the slip with my order to give to the kitchen. By this time it's been about 40 min and I really need to get to work. I tell the guy who helped with my missing order that I need to get going so he made my order quickly and gave it to me. He apologized but it wasn't even his fault. I just am upset because the girl who made the mistake didn't even apologize. So here I leave with a bagel and a muffin in hand 50 min later and rushing to work so I wouldn't be late. The bagel wasn't even toasty because it had to be rushed. Been coming here every Sunday for the past few months because the bagels and cream cheese are so good, but the customer service needs a major improvement. Each time we come here after ordering our food and my smoothie, we receive our food in a timely manner, but nobody has even started the smoothie. It's usually never busy when we go and when we look over the associates are just standing around talking. And this happens EVERY time we go. We still went because the food is good, but after today I'm done. When after about 15 minutes of waiting for my smoothie, my boyfriend walks up and lets them know we're still waiting on the smoothie. The girl questioned him in a rude manner (when she's the one who took our order) and then walked away to make it. By far the laziest employees of any business I've seen. How hard is it to make a smoothie in a timely manner? And every single time we go. I'd understand if it were busy and I'm a very patient person, but after many MANY times of this continuously happening, I'm fed up. Is there a manager on duty Sundays? If so, they need to keep their employees in check so that they're not standing around talking or staring off into space. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because of the bagels and cream cheese.
