Babe and I wanted something yummy after our hike so we stopped there since it was one of the few places that opened early. He had the turkey sausage and egg on a cheddar jalapeno bagel and I had a cheddar jalapeño and strawberry cream cheese.. sounds crazy I know but delicious.. such a great salty and sweet combo .. Saw this place while I was having lunch at Rubio's and decided to surprise my partner with some bagels! It's definitely an East Coast thing. I wasn't sure if she'd like it, so I got a plain bagel and an everything bagel. It came to about $5, which felt a bit pricey considering Costco makes pretty good bagels. Lol. Before I left, I looked in the bag and thought the everything bagel looked super hard, and I wasn't sure it was going to be good. Had breakfast at this location today for the first time. This location is really spacious with both indoor and outdoor seating. The service was great, the staff seemed friendly and patient with me as I was a bit undecided. I ordered a custom sandwich, with egg, cheese and avocado which was very tasty! I really like their bagels but they need to do something about their posted hours of business. I arrived at the location at 12:40pm to buy a dozen. Their posted hours say they close at 2:00pm. There weren't any bagels in the bins at 12:40 -- completely empty. I don't believe they completely sold out. Did they put the leftover bagels away, so they could leave at 2:00pm on the dot?? The two workers inside looked like they were getting ready to close. If they close at 2:00pm, I think they should be able to serve a customer at 12:40pm. Maybe they should say they close at 12:30pm??? I'm not happy that I wasted a trip and came home with no bagels! Came here this morning, 3/13/25 and unfortunately it seems like someone broke their window overnight. Due to that, there was only to go But as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a girl behind the sandwich line. Super nice Then I ordered a tomato, bacon, egg bagel and it was delicious. The same girl told me they were out of egg whites and only had whole egg but tbh it made my sandwich taste better. Whether you want a sweet option, breakfasty option or sandwichie option, it can be done. I particularly like just the traditional option (bagel with cream cheese). Specifically, I love the rosemary bagel with cream cheese. The staff is always super friendly and the service is quick. The place is always clean and it just has really nice vibes. I don't usually leave many reviews, but this was just too disappointing not to share. I was really looking forward to grabbing a bagel sandwich during my quick work break. (I ordered the bacon avocado & tomato bagel sandwich). It was my first time at this location, staff was friendly, place looked decent, so I didn't think twice about checking the bagel before leaving - especially because I was on a time crunch. When I got back to my office, I was so disappointed. The bagel was completely hard/burnt, literally black and had no flavor. The bacon was cold, limp, soggy, and honestly didn't look or taste fresh at all. I really tried to power through and give it a chance because I was hungry, but after two bites I had to stop. It was just gross, and when I opened it up, it looked worse. On top of this, I didn't have time to go drive back and ask for a new one because I had meetings and clients lined up. I love bagels!!! Was glad to find this place so close to the hospital I was visiting. Came to pick up a breakfast sandwich before heading to the hospital to visit my dad. This bagel shop is located in a shopping center that has Firestation Sub, Panda Express, Coffee Bean, Raising Canes, Rubios, Ross, etc., there's a lot. The only bad side is the parking around bagel shop. It's a tight turn into it, and when it's packed, you gotta be careful because cars will just pop out of nowhere. Anywho, I ordered a breakfast bagel (sausage, egg, and cheese) on garlic. They didn't have garlic, which is a bummer. This was at 7:30 AM, so it would be too early to run out or they don't carry it. The staff member just said, " we don't have it." So I got it on an everything bagel. Took less than 5 minutes to make my bagel. I took my bagel and drove to the hospital and ate it in the car. It was a good breakfast bagel. The cost, however, surprised me. With inflation and all, the bagel cost around $9.60. Service was lackluster. She's probably tired from coming in so early making bagels. Would come back for another breakfast bagel, if I'm in the area. read more

This is a very busy and consistently understaffed location. There are two Brugger's Bagels on my commute to work, one close to home, and then this one - which is close to my office. Both locations are very busy and always have a line, but the Santa Ana location is always very slow. They will have one or two employees serving customers but at least one of them is always only working on online orders only. It's surprising to me that, despite the consistency of how busy they are in the morning, they don't have enough staff there to satisfy the demand. I would recommend that they always have AT LEAST three employees working on making bagels with two focusing on in-person orders. The in-person customer experience would improve dramatically if they had enough staff. They also routinely run out of certain flavor bagels (e.g. plain) which seems like it shouldn't happen as frequently as it does. read more

I worked fast food for 6 years, it's easy to be annoyed and ooze how much you want people to leave - the two were very calm, smiled, told us to take our time - it was great! Store was very clean. Nothing bad to report. For me the lox bagel wasn't the best (3/5), but the farmhouse bagel was really good (4.5/5) for me. My partner and I usually come to this one because its way closer to us than the other ones, but damn. This last time we went was just sooooo bad. We usually order the western bagel on a sesame bagel. The bagels have gotten so small over the years. This time when we went they put no veggies on my bagel. It was drenched in chipotle sauce. It was soooo soggy but hard at the same time. It was simply the worst bagel i have ever had and I get the same bagel every single time. With a franchise you would think their system wouldnt be broken when ordering something they have created, but thats not the case. The service is nice but they can not build good bagels. Not anymore at least. The quality and quantity have gone done severely and i don't see it improving at this location sadly.
