Pls explain to me how you can charge me $5 for ice and one shot. The drinks here are horrible
    John R.

Iced drinks are 98% ice. Wanna spend $5 for ice this is the place. Over and over I come here and the drinks are overpriced and most ice

85 has been my go to choice when I am running late for a friend gathering and I need to bring something yummy and a crowd pleasure. They offer a variety of tarts and I always grabbed those and ask they get packed in a box. It makes me look so prepared, like I planned this for weeks on end. The wait is a bit long at this location as they only have one cashier but she was very nice and doing her best to serve everyone. Casual. Indoor seating available. Please come and create your own experience.

I had an eye doctor appointment yesterday next to 85 and saw some attractive pics of their mango creations posted at the door. The Mango Coconut Smoothie looked really good so I had to try. Well, while it was refreshing, I'd say it was just ok.

their bread is amazing My favorite is milk pudding. They always have new seasonal items. The staff is always super friendly, and the place is always clean. They also have Matcha and a lot of different coffees, taro , they also even have birthday cakes Today I tried a ham and cheese. The quality of ham and cheese was delicious. I really didn't like the horseradish sauce. It was too sweet and kind of threw up the sandwich. It was like pastry croissant fell apart when you bit it because it's so flaky but definitely delicious

Everyone is a fan of this bakery. However I myself am not really. There are a lot of options for coffee, tea, and lots of milk buns along with other various pastries. I've tried a few of them when co-workers buy a bunch, but I'm just not a fan of the milk infused breads, or coffee, or tea. The cinnamon roll is good though, although for my roll fix, I go elsewhere. But that's just my specific taste.

I really liked: Zebra Oolong Milk Tea I liked: Egg tart Matcha Choco Bun Ham & Cheese I appreciate that the store is a bit larger than some others franchisees and all the food is prepackaged. It's easier to grab things and helps check out faster. I would still want to know if there's fresh pastries but I didn't stick around long enough to know if they still do that. Service was quick but I had to wait a while for them to restock boba straws since the workers are pretty heads down on their tasks and no one was checking to see if the straws were empty. There are a couple small tables inside and when it's not busy, you can sit an chat with a friend without the noise level being overwhelming.

The sign clearly says they close at 9pm. But at 815pm it's clear they don't want people coming in. Love the way restaurants and cafes flip chairs onto tables while they're still open. Nothing is lovier than looking at dirty chair legs, or looking at chair bottoms on the tops of tables where you place your food or drinks.

Always hits the spot on a nice hot day when I'm craving boba!! I got the Green Milk Tea with Boba! The tea to milk ratio was deliciously made but it tasted a little grainy. Could've been just me though haha. I didn't get the chance to try out any of the pastries like I normally do for 85 but maybe during my next trip here!

    Winny H.

Getting fresh pastries here at this location is easy. As it's in Tustin the liens here aren't as long as the ones in Irvine. Staff is friendly and I like how fresh bread are constantly coming out and being restocked. They have an app where you can earn rewards so that's good. Just ordered a cake for my nephew and it was the macchiato cream flavored cake. The whole family loved it so there weren't any leftovers at all!

Drinks are full of high corn syrup and the breads are made of Margarine. Total crap. Just look up the ingredients and it is just full of toxins. Do not eat there TOXIC and CHEAP INGREDIENTS!!!

Worst milk tea I ever had. Not fully cooked boba. Tea not great. Milk not great. I would rate this gas station level milk tea.

Low score earning milk tea drink. Boba not fully cooked. Tea not fresh. Milk average. Gas station level milk tea. Guess where I won't be coming again.

We had some time before our table was ready at 7 Grams, so we came in here to do some damage. The store was clean and staff was nice. It's been awhile since I've been to an 85* bakery - they now have the bread packaged in the cubbies. The coconut twist is my favorite and it will stay that way!

They have twelve different flavors of the 8 inch cakes ( Black Velvet etc...... ) All of which can be picked up if available. As of April 29, 2019 , the price range was 30 to 33 dollars.

    Do they make custom cakes?

The location of…read morethis well-known Japanese/French bakery was unusual in that it's isolated in a corner of the El Camino Plaza. I had expected the business to be in a more high volume area, however a benefit of their corner spot was that the parking lot had plenty of spaces. There's no indoor seating, but outdoor tables were set up along the north and east perimeters of the building. I was by myself at this latest visit, and it was close to the end of the day so the inventory was quite depleted. There was no line at all which was not a surprise. The famous Strawberry Croissants and prepackaged items were on refrigerated display to the left when you walked in. As the service counter rounded a corner, there were more fresh baked goods on display before you reached a register. Across from the registers were shelves containing bags of fresh bread products. I bought a Strawberry Croissant, a Sticky Bun, a Ham and Cheese Croissant, and an Apple Croissant. The quality of the pastry dough was very good, and I could see why the Strawberry Croissant was a favorite with the customers. The croissants were light and flakey, and the powdered sugar added a delicate topping to the strawberry version. If I were to rate on just the Strawberry Croissant, then it would be five stars. My overall rating was downgraded because of the customer traffic flow. The lines can be optimized so that if you wanted to buy a six-pack of the Strawberry Croissants and/or anything prepackaged, then a separate queue should be arranged for those customers. The cafeteria trays were of limited use if you were not getting a large number of items. As you advanced in the queue, other products had to be requested from a worker behind the counter and then those were not placed on the tray. Ultimately, I think they can configure the operation to more efficiently handle the higher volume periods of the day.

Santa Ana downtown is all metered street parking so be prepared to pay for parking. The stand is located right in front of the market so it isn't too hard to find. It's in the market so there's open seating and can get quite loud if there's a lot of people. Unfortunately, I was greeted very poorly when I got here. No one was available to help and periodically she would yell over to see if I was ready to order in a very bad tone. When I asked about the cheesecake selection, she said "you have to wait 30 min." I then asked what flavor it is and she said "pandan pineapple" in an annoyed tone. I asked if there were any other flavors and she said "no because I still need to decorate. You should really come later at night." I'm used to bakeries selling out later in the day but I guess it's opposite here. As if it couldn't get worse, I asked her if there are any coffees she recommended, and she said "viet coffee." I then said viet coffee is usually too strong for me and asked if there were any other recommendations and she doubled down and used a horrible tone to say "I already said I recommend the viet coffee." Therefore I opted to just not order coffee at this time. I ended up still ordering 2 cookies: miso toffee which was too firm and the ube coconut which actually was well balanced and had a nice coconut filling. I really hope they improve their customer service.

Whenever I come here it's always the same lady who I'm sure is tired of seeing me lol, but she is so sweet and kind and patient when I have trouble deciding what to pick here! As for the pastries/desserts, the custard pudding cup deserves more love! I'm not sure if it's housemade here, but if you've ever been to Japan, it tastes exactly like the ones you buy from the konbini! I remember I would buy one almost every day of my trip, so I've grown cravings for it that Hamadaya satisfies in OC. The cheese bread is also a go-to for me if I'm in a savory mood- it's exactly what it sounds like, cheese and bread but who doesn't love those two things? Egg katsu sandwich is good if you're looking for something more substantial. The strawberry shortcake I've tried here was also good, but I did pick it up near their closing so it felt a little dried out. Definitely would recommend coming here earlier in the day for fresher and better selection of pastries!
