Giving this place another try! I ordered something different this time. And I'm glad that I did. The food was much better! I went with the veggie bagel with cream cheese and veggies on it. The bread substitution was a great idea. 6 cheese bagel was fire! The hash-browns were super good! They come in the of size of a mini hockey puck. And are cheesy. So good! I also got a pastry and orange juice. Pastry was better once warmed up. It was a bit dry. Service was fine. They got the order right. And food was hot in delivery. read more

Came here for a quick bite during lunch and there was no line. A quick walk from the office so that's a plus. Staff was pretty cool and took my order quickly. I ended up trying out the Pepperoni Pizza bagel. I think I waited like 5 minutes to get my food and it was steaming hot. It tasted like an actual pizza slice and you wouldn't think it was simply a bagel. The flavors were great. The bagel is pretty good so I had to force myself to eat the 2nd half to not waste such awesomeness. I will definitely be back since it is convenient and has great items to enjoy. read more

There is usually an unnecessarily long line at this Einstein's because it's on a college campus. It's nearly impossible to get to unless you're a Chapman University student. There is a parking garage that fills up really quickly and you'll have to pay for a guest parking permit. The closest street is a few blocks away and without understanding which building it's in, it's hard to find. The staff is usually friendly, but I'm often there when they're training new people which makes the line go very slowly. I recommend the bacon, egg white, tomato, and avocado sandwich. It's $4.99 and most of the other sandwiches are in the $6-8 range. The coffee here is terrible. I once got a cold brew that had tons of coffee grounds in it. Their lattes always tastes burnt. The regular coffee is cheap and tolerable, but I highly recommend just getting coffee from two buildings over if you need coffee. This place isn't terrible if you're a student and need to grab a warm snack between classes (depending on how long the line is), but I don't recommend it if you're not already on campus. read more

Got the pizza bagel here so you didn't have to. Can't say it's the worst thing but it's essentially like going to a sushi place to buy pizza. Stick to buying just regular began and don't get too exotic with your choices. Now that being said, I have some pros and cons if you still wish to buy one. I got this when I was hungry, so anything at this point taste good. Now I didn't actually buy it but my friend gave it to me. It taste better hot (for sure) and I mean u get exactly what you had in mind: tomato sauce and cheese. But the ratio is definitely questionable. Too much cheese and too little sauce. But also like if you really want pizza, guys we have three places not too far from campus. Go to Blaze, Pizza Press or Zito's instead. Hell even the cafe! Better quality and choices of topping. I get that maybe time might be an issue but like I said, do you go to a sushi place to buy pizza. BECAUSE IF YOU DO, I THINK WE NEED TO TALK. With all that being said, it wasn't actually that bad but like I said, I was starving. If you on the fence about getting this, you probably don't want it. I think that it's a little overprice for the quality and quantity of the food. The staffs are nice and helpful. There is just nothing really to comment because this is literally your typical bagel place. The egg sandwiches are good, but again, it really should cost less for what it is. This will be a brief review. I like Einstein Bros in general, but this location is lame. I don't know if that is because it is located on a college campus and therefore they are not on the radar the way a typical location would be or what. I would give the place three stars for the food because it's okay, no better or worse than any other bagel place, and because it is extremely convenient to where I live (walking there takes literally three minutes for me) but I am giving this place two stars because of the poor service and generally uncomfortable experience I have had every time I have been here--which has been many. The employees never ever smile, you will not likely get a greeting, a "thank you," a farewell or anything like that. They seem generally confused, flustered and disorganized and they seem more or less annoyed at the presence of customers. It makes me feel like I shouldn't even go there because it irritates them so much and I am ruining their day. I have been here many times, but only on Saturdays and Sundays--maybe the workers are angry that they have to be there on a weekend and that's why it's such a bad time when I go? I don't know. Additionally, the hours of operation are bizarre and random--even the employees don't all actually know when they open (I have asked and the answer is literally one worker turning to face another to wait for an answer). How can you not know when your establishment opens and closes? I'm guessing they can open when they feel like it or at the whim of whichever clown is in charge that day? At any rate this location is one you only want to visit if you have no other options at that particular moment unless of course you LIKE being treated like poo. =/ read more

I personally enjoy Einstiens. As a student, I have spent my fair amount of time at this Bagel joint. Depending on the time of day that you go, the time it takes changes. But they do a pretty good job at moving you through the line pretty quick. There are quite a few places to sit, and its back to back with Jamba Juice. As far as the food.. I think the Bagels are good. My favorite are Cinnamon Raisin with peanut butter on it. The amount they change for peanut butter is a little dramatic in my opinion. But it tastes good... so I pay for it. But they are all decently good. I also really like the bagel sandwiches, even though they are a bit pricy I think. The bagel thin sandwiches are really good! I haven't had coffee here, but I did try a strawberry smoothie... and it was way too sweet for me. There was way too much sugar and it had a very artificial flavor. Skip the smoothie here and go for a Jamba instead. I do think that for the most part the workers and nice and friendly. It is convient place if you are on the Chapman campus, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. read more

Has the best coffee on campus but with Starbucks not being so far away I very rarely waste hours of my life standing in line. The line takes forever and then it takes them over 5 minutes to make a latte even if you're the only person who ordered a coffee drink. This place is awful, The customer service is just sad, the food is tasteless and their packaging is awful. Their packaging is so bad that I dropped half of my pizza bagel and it landed all over my wallet before falling onto the floor. Spend your money elsewhere if you can help it. After my last visit, I wrote a complaint via the Einstein website and within a day or two I received a very nice and seemingly sincere apology from the manager. It was not at all the typical company form-letter apology. She kindly offered to give me a replacement bagel the next time I am in the store. so me and my home girls were trynna get some food but our teachers weren't finna letting us get some starbucks .anyways we had to come to this einstein place to get some grub. i ordered a pepperoni pizza bagel and they had no more regular bagels. So me and the squad had to settle for some crusty sesame seed bagels. this took about 45 minutes to wait for and to get. when we finally got the bagels we were so disappointed. The sesame seed bagel which according to the cashier was "like a regular bagel" IT WAS SO NASTY ! the cheese had a slime like texture and tasted fake and the big MOTHER FRICKING pepperoni in the middle was very gooey. So me and my home girls had to throw away our Mother fricking $6 BAGEL AWAY!! hands down worst field trip ever. read more

Disappointed at this place! Yelpers are right Girl in front of me ordered hot chocolate- COLD. I saw the lady (older hispanic lady) poured in milk, ice, and two pumps of chocolate syrup. She did not bother to stir it where the thick chocolate condensed to the bottom and yelled out the order. I felt really sorry for that girl. Then I ordered ice tea. She charged me for the price of a ice coffee (I figured she could not find the ice tea entry on the computer). Ice tea is a huge disappointment. Tasted like old, overnight, stale lipton tea. Yuck! Awful needs to be redefined for this place! I ordered a sausage egg breakfast bagel and the eggs were obviously some combination of powdered or frozen first. I did not even recognize the animal that the sausage came from...lizard? Who knows, it smelled awful and tasted worse. I also ordered a hazelnut latte and it was unsweetened and the coffee was stale. I threw it out after 3 sips, I just couldn't take it. Top it all off, it cost me $9.27! Starbucks is cheaper!! Bruxie across the street would have been cheaper!! What sharks!!
