I used to frequent this place almost every week and now I haven't gone back in months because the past few times I've gone, the bagels/sandwiches are just not good. Pretty sure this place is under new ownership because all the people there look new and there's different people every time I go. Their prices have increased and quality has gone downhill. The bagels taste stale and I've gone at different times of the day. They used to pack on the cream cheese and now you get a sliver of cream cheese and especially since I always get the lox spread, which I'm paying around $8+ for, I expect a lot more. I also get the hash brown omelette sandwich and the last time I got it, they literally forgot the hashbrown. How do u forget the hash brown in a HASH BROWN omelette sandwich? I recently was in NY and was lucky enough to have tried Bagel Oasis. I hadn't had an authentic NY bagel and they did not disappoint. We actually had bagels from them 3 times while we were there. I've been coming to this bagel place for 10 years now and the food is consistently amazing. My tastes have changed over the years and I've ordered probably everything on the menu. I would have easily given 5 stars but unfortunately the service isn't as consistently good as the quality of food. I haven't really tried many other bagel places in Queens, but Bagel Oasis does really good bagels. Definitely come in the morning, as all the bagels are all freshly made. I really do hate this place. When I started going there I used to like the service and the bagels. It was hard to get a hold of the Tofu Cream Cheese but when they did have it, it was delicious. My issue with this place is that there is always something wrong with the order even if you repeat and they reiterate. If you call for the order to be picked up, be prepared to stand on the order line once again when you get there. You would think that your order is ready, have a separate cashier.
