This has always been my favorite bagel place in town, but today it fell short. The bagels are great. Soft, doughy with a nice crust and always fresh. Ordered an everything bagels with Taylor ham, egg and cheese. They skimped on the Taylor ham. All the bagels only had one piece of Taylor ham. They used to put 3-4 pieces. The service is pretty fast considering there's always a line on a weekend morning. Great tasting bagels, but a big let down when it came to filling today. I'll give them another chance, hopefully they don't let me down next time. read more

It may be a fairly busy Saturday morning on a gloomy october day. Pretty chilly too. I am devilishly hungover and all I want a is a bagel. So long story short. Waited over half an hour for the food. Turns out. They didn't announce the order and it was sitting there. I asked for a cinnamon raisin bagel. They have me everything. My good friend asked for well done bacon. Floppy bacon. Here I am. Still hung over. Still waiting for them to remake my bagel. Best part is me and my Good friend made sure to tell them, multiple times of our order. And they still messed it up. Best part is second time around. They still mess up. No salt, pepper, ketchup. Highly disappointed in what is usually great place. Sad to say they've lost my business after this. I will be taking my hungover appetite elsewhere for breakfast. Atleast I can enjoy a nice refreshing Arizona Arnold Palmer, except with no grease clogging up my arteries. Don't order food for pick up here. They confuse orders constantly. I've seen it happen to multiple times and they aren't customer friendly about their mistakes. They gave someone else our order once and refused to admit to their mistake or remake our order or even refund us. This happens a lot there so figured it's worth a warning. We stopped going there because there's another bagel place in rutherford we like better. I also question how old all of their pre made foods in the cold cuts counter and baked items are. I spent most of my life living in Rutherford and grew up having Bagel Supreme as a staple. It was where my friends and I would meet for lunch, it was my dad's Saturday morning spot and was what I ate and looked forward to every Sunday morning. It is one fine establishment, family owned and some of the nicest people around. They are forever updating and changing things around to make the restaurant area as comfortable as possible. They started out small, but as they grew there was never any sacrifice for the high quality food they provide which goes well beyond bagels. Don't get me wrong, I've had other good bagels but I would go out of my way and now so will my husband to have Bagel Supreme over a Manhattan bagel any day! Bagels are good. Customer service is friendly. But you need to be careful with what you order. I had the worst chicken caesar wrap I ever had over there. I have never seen wet lettuce on a wrap before. It was soggy. I never knew making a wrap was difficult. These people cooked the lettuce it seems. read more

I mean, it's much better than Dunkin Donuts, but let's not fool ourselves saying its a great place. First of all, if you get anything from the grill you'd best settle in for a wait. Might as well bring a book as you'll be there abt 15 min on a Sunday morning, when we went. There is plenty of seating though, so if you're looking to meet up with folks you'll be able to find a table pretty easily. And if you're lucky you'll get one of their Flinstone booths (see pic). Coffee is self service, and they Havel hazelnut, regular, decaf, and it looked like they had hazelnut decaf but you might have to fact check me on that. I'm a bagel snob, and my bagel was good but not the best I've had. It was a little chewy, and they lost points for only buttering one side. Everyone that I encountered was fairly nice, and my order was spot on. Came in for some bagel sandwiches to go. It was very busy. There's nice seating off to the left for those looking to take a break and eat. There was a fast energy to the place, which they'd have to be, seeing how the line never stopped building. It took a while for our food to come out, but that was to be expected. The bagels are pretty good here and it's also close to home which makes this a desirable Sunday morning breakfast spot. However, the three times I've been here I've been helped by a younger guy that hasn't given great service. Todays issue was that my husband and I waited for about 15 minutes before we asked if the bagels would be ready soon. Turns out he "forgot" to submit our order to the cooks. The manager handled it really well and comped our food but don't want that to be the trend of my visits there. Not sure about some of these people leaving poor reviews as the owners are super friendly and the food is great as everything is made from scratch. If you are wanting fast food junk that comes out fast, then stick with your local franchised fast food place. If you want excellent made from scratch bagels, sandwiches, salads, breakfast in large portions then I highly recommend. These bagels are absolutely as good (my honest opinion is better) than any bagel in NYC. In addition sandwiches and salads always end up as leftovers due to the size. All sandwiches have fresh sliced meats and like I mentioned breakfast and hot sandwiches are cooked to order. Omeletes, wraps, bagel sandwiches, are awesome. In terms of service the owners are very friendly and like I said since everything is made to order it does take longer than your fast food joints. I am a big fan of Bagel Supreme. We never had a bad experience in the quality of their food - bagels are always fresh and their sandwiches are delicious. The staff is very friendly but if they are busy be prepared to wait! I suggest calling ahead (if they pick up) because the line can be ridiculous. You can wait a half hour just to grab a couple of plain bagels. I would suggest a express bagel line for people just looking to pick up a few bagels to go. They need to come up with a system that helps stream line their orders and help with the rush. I'm still a fan and will continue to order from them but think the reviews are all pretty consistent with what they need to do to improve. read more
