I'll try to find something nice to say, the iced tea is good. That's it. I order a Nova Platter at $10.95, an ok price if you get SOMETHING for your money. The bagels are VERY small, the 2 tomato slices look like they were on somebody else's plate 3 days ago and same for the 1 slice of cucumber, but the worst part is the incredibly SMALL amount of nova, it's a joke. Two VERY thin, VERY small pieces of nova, not even enough for one bagel. So thin you can see the plate through the nova, barely 2-finger wide and about 4-5 inches long. Today I decided to walk to bagel twins while they took her for a procedure... I paid $11 for a bagel with cream cheese and a muffin and they tried to charge me $3.50 for a regular size can of Diet Coke. Honestly, it feels like they're taking advantage of the area and being local to a lot of doctors offices/the hospital. $6 for the smallest bagel I've ever purchased is truly ridiculous. Tomorrow I'll stop at Brooklyn water bagel or something before heading to the hospital. Ambiance? Good service and ambience-- waiters and waitresses and booths --but just okay bagels. Had the breakfast special ($8.99) but when you go to pay there's a sign that the price listed on the menu is the CASH price and they add 4% for a credit card. I came with a group of 12 men. The waiter asked everyone if they wanted coffee. We all said yes. Then , we got menus. I was surprised to see that there were two breakfast special options: one for $8.99 2 eggs, choice of potatoes, choice of bread and coffee. The $12.99 special included3 bacon strips or 2 sausage links and NO coffee. There's a $3.49 charge for coffee. When I questioned the waiter he said that's the way is. I told him other places we go for breakfast don't charge for coffee on the breakfast specials or they don't charge because there's a large group. My wife had appointment near Linton and Military which meant I had a couple of free hours. I'm always on the lookout for a breakfast joint. This was a winner. It was clean, fast service, and cheap. Coffee was great and they give you a refill craff so I don't wait for my second cup. Pancakes reminded me of the flapjacks we had in the Carolina's. Bacon was nicely done as well. The gentleman that answered my phone call was helpful and polite. I ordered by phone and went in to pick up my scooped and toasted everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. When I realized that I was not happy with my choice, the two gentleman at the counter were happy to make me another toasted scooped bagel with chive cream cheese. It was so yummy! The everything bagel had great texture and crunch while the scallion cream cheese gave it just the right flavor. I was glad I stopped in and chose not to believe some of the other reviews. For the past four, years my wife and I have been ordering breakfast out from Bagel Twins and have been very impressed with the quality of food and its preparation. We ordered eggs, bacon, potatoes, and bagels on June 16, and everything was great as it always had been. We ordered the same breakfast yesterday, July 3, and things were drastically different. The eggs tasted as if they were either powered or liquid eggs, like the kind some hotel chains use in their free breakfast offering. We know this because we are frequent travelers and have vast experience eating non-cracked eggs at hotel breakfasts. In addition, the home fried potatoes were burnt on one side and the bagels were very over done. The potatoes and bagels being overcooked might be considered a one-off situation, but we cannot overlook spending what we did on fake eggs. We are done with Bagel Twins. read more

Our favorite bagel place, Been going there for 24 years. When we entered, we saw signs stating they are now opened for dinner, so I inquired and found out the restaurant was sold. Nothing has changed as the prices due to inflation. Rosie, our server has been there forever, knows what we want to order. He was doing a good take out business there was a line waiting outside letting one in at a time. Order wait outside and then next person orders. Great to see the staff wearing masks gloves etc. only half the tables open. Still running the breakfast special. Hopefully more people will come back. He kept the three best server and they have certain days of the week only one per day based on the limited people.
