Small and cute... I loved this place! So my babe and I were just bar crawling through Delray and this was our first stop. I was looking for something fresh with clean ingredients and figured a spot with farmhouse in the name would be a good choice. This was our first time here. It looked crowded from the street but we were seated immediately. After a couple of minutes we realized the table was too wobbly to make it through the meal so we asked to be seated at a booth and they were happy to switch us. Our waitress Bri was super nice about it. The food was delicious... I love a good spicy drink and the Spicy Blood Orange Margarita was so nice I ordered it twice lol Really good. Because this was the first of many stops we ordered small plates - Meatballs and Zucchini Chips. We were expecting multiple meatballs but it's actually one giant meatball with this amazing fresh sauce. Also really good but the best thing we had there were the Zucchini Chips! I think the Lemon Caper Sauce is the star of the dish but the actual chips are so crispy and well seasoned. 10/10. I saw a number of Deviled Egg orders come out and now I have to come back to try those too. read more

I still love the vibe of this place, but when I first ate here, they had amazingly fresh fish with what seemed almost like it was cooked in a tempura batter. I can say by far the best fish in the area, which suffers from all of these ridiculous food safety Florida rules. Anyway, for instance, their fish tacos now are just like really bland and kind of dry. I remember the chef, previously. He was a nice guy who seemed like he really enjoyed what he did for a living. I think I had a grouper sandwich that was crazy good as well. Anyway, it's a shame. Was down for a family vacation and heard this place had good food. Wrong. Cold, bland, overpriced and an incredibly rude staff. Our drinks sat empty and when we asked for the manager, he was rude as well. Never again. Steer clear of this schithole. read more

Absolutely fantastic across the board! The wings were so fresh and juicy. You could taste the difference of the farm to table chicken. All of the food was cooked right after we ordered and was so tasty. The wings were out in probably 5 minutes and all of the food was timely. The blackened mahi mahi sandwich was exactly what I was looking for. Fresh tuna, seasoned well, cooked well and the veggies were fresh and juicy too. The nutty chicken was also great! Even the veggies on the side were just splendid. The service provided to us was very attentive and caring with timely check ins and water refills. Everything we ordered joined the clean plate club. One of my favorite happy hours on Atlantic! (Although I was a little annoyed last time I came as the waitress didn't come to our table for about 15 minutes at which is was then 7:02 and when I asked about happy hour she said they stop serving at 6:45 even though it's posted until 7 ) Needless to stay, I've always enjoyed my food here. The Kale salads is one of my favorites, I like to add salmon. The apple Burrata grilled cheese sandwich was delicious and protip is to cut it and share as an app. I also had the walnut-crusted grouper special the other week and it was delicious!! Sunday brunch at the Farmhouse with the wife who wanted the bottomless mimosas for $20.00 until 3pm. I had a can of cold craft beer by Dogfish Head. Happy Hour is daily from 3pm - 7pm offering half off beer, wine and liquor. The wife ordered the kale cauliflower & chicken salad which I ate half and got two honey buttermilk biscuits with a sidecar of churned butter. The biscuits were $5.00 each but were warm, fluffy and massive (see pic). The gender assigned bathroom was very masculine with dark wall tiles and dark bricklike flooring. The modern vanity with an undermount polished granite sink was a nice addition. There were about 100 rolls of toilet paper filling the shelves taking the place of pictures as decor which was interesting. read more

Farmhouse is a casual American food joint right in the middle of the Ave, serving up some classics as well as some of their own spin. I've been by quite a few times, but have been struggling with writing a review. The food is pretty solid, but nothing extraordinary -- and some things have been or miss. The short rib was solid, the burger is decent, the tacos are just fine, and the chicken was pounded thin and dry & overcooked. The prices are a bit high for what it is, so happy hour is absolutely the way to go here. There's outdoor seating, indoor/outdoor bar, and booths & tables inside. There's staff is friendly, and while the food comes out quickly, sometimes it can take a bit of time to grab a server or bartender's attention to order or get the check. I still haven't fully made my mind up on this place, but it won't be my go to. read more

We were not going to wait over an hour to get into Rack's seafood so we came around the corner to Gary Rack's Farmhouse Kitchen. Surprised to see a 50% off menu as well until 645. Ashley was our waitress, she checked in with us and was on point. We had a comfortable booth in the air conditioning. The restaurant got very crowded and very noisy quickly. I ordered a kale yeah salad with 4 large shrimp, goat cheese, pumpkin seeds, granola, roasted cauliflower & white beans with a lemon poppy dressing. My husband ordered the Saratoga chicken club with bacon, tomato pepper jack red onion on toasted multigrain bread with apple kale. Our portions were much too generous, prices were much too reasonable, and everything was delicious. read more

FYI, before I go any further, Racks next-door is closing. After August 16, they will be history. We have always had a good dining experience at a Gary Rack restaurant and Gary Racks Farmhouse Kitchen is no exception. I had the Saratoga chicken club with bacon, tomato pepper, jack red onion on a toasted multigrain bread with apple kale. My wife had the kale yale salad with four large shrimp, goat, cheese, pumpkin seeds, granola, etc., etc. both came with very generous amounts of each. Ashleigh, our waiter was attentive, checking on us and was on point with her recommendations. Also note that almost all of their items on the menu. There is a happy hour from like 4 to 645 daily where almost everything on the menu is 1/2 price. I suspect once the snowbirds return that this will be discontinued but cannot say for sure. It was a busy Sunday on the avenue when we decided to stop and check out Gary's farmhouse. It's a cute little restaurant and we decided to eat alfresco. The server was quite nice. I went with the giant meatball from the happy hour menu. To be honest, I really was expecting just a couple of small meatballs like we get in a regular Italian restaurant. I wasn't expecting this mammoth, monster sized meatball. It was surprisingly very tasty. In general I'm not a fan of those 1 pound meatballs. I've had a few in my day and I never really enjoyed them but this one was very good. For the main course, I chose the Bolognese. The flavor was really good, but that really wasn't a lot of meat to make it a Bolognese. The pasta was drenched in sauce, too much sauce actually and I could hardly find any beef or meat product in the sauce. Calling that a Bolognese would definitely be a far stretch. It was more like a marinara. Overall my experience at the restaurant was ok. It's not a restaurant that I think I would have to revisit. It was definitely lacking the wow factor that makes me want to go repeatedly to a restaurant. read more

My friend and I went around 7 on a weeknight. It wasn't crowded, but the vibe was great--relaxed and inviting. Everything that came out looked fresh and just made. We started with the zucchini chips and lemon tzatziki sauce, which were really good--crispy and flavorful. I had the burger, which was cooked perfectly, and upgraded to the Parmesan truffle fries, which were packed with flavor. The only downside was that we were so hungry, we ordered a side of bread. Farm to table locally sourced with great staff , perfect location and ambiance . The food was carefully prepared with an open kitchen and great happy hour prices! We decided to share several items and started with a strawberry mango tea that was delicious and refreshing with free refills. The burger was delicious and you could tell the difference in the tomato taste and even though it was happy hour prices the portions were large.The meatball was softball sized with ricotta and marinara and was mouthwatering.The buffalo cauliflower and zucchini chips were nice accompaniments for shareables with the burger and meatball! I want to start out by saying that their Apple Burrata Grilled Cheese is AMAZING. It's made on a thick crusty bread and the flavor profile is very unique. The Farm Burger and fries were decent, if I went back again I would likely choose a different dish. It's a great location on the Ave, however the service was slow. Overpriced and underwhelming, Gary Rack's Farmhouse kitchen was a disappointment to my tastebuds and wallet. Located in the walkable and popular downtown area of Del Rey Beach it has both indoor and outdoor seating, the ambiance is well thought out and put together well it was clean comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The menu is smaller and that made sense given the size of the restaurant, but I personally didn't find a lot that looked particularly appealing, as most items suffered from the "over-engineered" farm to table trope that most of these restaurants that want to appear upscale but aren't fall into. The almost normal but use one fancy sounding ingredient so we can charge $5 more trend I personally can't wait to end. (Example here Truffle Mac & cheese where there was no discernible truffle taste or need) The food was very "meh" but the punch to my wallet was not. A very basic lunch consisting of a salad and a side order of Mac/Cheese and fries made me audibly grin when I opened the bill folio. Would I eat here again? No. Should you? Only if you have money to blow on mediocre food and want to stay in the downtown area. read more

The location is fantastic. It's right on the Ave in Delray and I loved the outdoor bar, but the food wasn't my favorite on the strip. I tried my friend's apple burrata grilled cheese, which was excellent. I got the nutty chicken. It was extremely dry and the brussels sprouts underneath were soggy. We tried the honey butter biscuits the breakfast burger and the croque madame croissant. I also had the Hugo spritz. Biscuit was huge and fluffy and you could see the layers the honey butter was just sweet enough. The breakfast burger was huge with lots of sausage and topped with a fried egg.the croque was as well and stuffed with prosciutto. The fries were hand cut and also delish. I think Farmhouse deserves more than its current Yelp rating. The food is quite good, well-prepared and balanced. This is the third time I've been to Farmhouse (I live nearby in Delray). Service at the bar was spot on. The menu has a lot of cool items on it. I opted for the zucchini chips which had a delicious tangy, creamy dipping sauce, the nutty chicken, and the marinated white beans. On the corner of Atlantic Ave and 1st Ave, it's a good place to people watch, though it can be loud with motorcycles, blasting radios and the some of the people around me ? it was like full emersion in an episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey (OOH, MUIY, GAWD! We had a wonderful evening with friends and the service was very good. We arrived with our reservation for inside seating eventhough the restaurant has all the sliding doors open. It was hot outside but cool inside. We arrived in time for Happy hour and we're very pleased with the selections. The menu has some great items. I loved the kale salad with added shrimp. It was very fresh. The tacos my husband had was good but he didn't care for the street corn side he ordered. I liked the corn. Not fresh off the cobbled but it had good flavor. Our friends had the steak which was a little under cooked but it looked like a good sized portion. I brought my mom and uncle here for a little lunch and I'm so glad I did. This place is great. You've probably passed by it because it's on the main avenue Atlantic and wondered whether you should go in... well, I'm here to tell you that you should go it. DECOR: It's small inside but they really thought of the layout and the decor. I'm about to make up a name for the vibe... farmhouse cozy with city vibe bar . They have booths and like two large tables for bigger parties so I suggest that you always make a reservation because this place can get packed quick. The decor was cute. They have a very interesting bar, because the restaurant it's in a corner they decided to have it facing outward where your back can be on the sidewalk where people are walking by. Talk about feeling the social energy. It looked very cool. The bar also continues to the inside. . We were amaze that even though the bar is literally opened to the outside, we still felt cool and comfortable in our booth. These people must spend a good amount on air conditioning. FOOD: So my mom is a selective eater (aka picky). And I brought her brother who is probably even worse lol. One is a health nut and the other doesn't like anything and has a sensitive stomach . Anyways, we ended up getting the same thing, which is rare to do but the dish sounded so good. It was the madam croque croissant.... GET IT! The plates were very large. It was phenomenal. Half the plate was a salad. And even though the salad made me feel like a bunny eating grass in a farm somewhere in an English field... I was a very happy bunny. All that to say that the salad the croissant came with was surprisingly delicious. ALL the plates in our table were wiped clean... everything was so delicious. And guess what? I only heard compliments from both my mom and uncle about the food, decor, and service. Which brings me to the next subject... SERVICE: Excellent. Our waiter was sweet, attentive, and wonderful. The poor guy was definitely working for his money taking care of multiple tables. He really has a naturally gift for taking care of people. My mom didn't want the egg to be runny like it was supposed to come, according to the menu, and he went to speak with the kitchen so that she was happy with all of it. Whenever we had or question he was happy to help us. The waitress in the front was nice too. CONCLUSION: I highly recommend this place. The parking lot is near by so you don't need to walk much.
