    Lox bagel sandwich
    Matt P.

I stopped in for breakfast on a weekday while visiting the area. There are a few Bagel World locations but this one on Sylvan Street in Peabody had a good amount of parking, including along the side of the store and in the back. This is good, considering they appear to be a very popular morning destination. Inside they have it down to a science for how and where you order and where to stand to the side to pick up. I ordered a large hot pumpkin spice coffee (because it was November and tis' the season), the lox bagel sandwich, and a jalapeño cheddar bagel with lox cream cheese. I've eaten lox bagels all over the country and for the price ($8.18) this was decent. I'm more of a fan of the thin-sliced smoked salmon versus the thick sliced at Bagel World but they weren't afraid to pack it with red onion and capers. The jalapeño cheddar bagel was fresh and warm and the coffee hit the spot. Overall I was a fan of this Bagel World location and look forward stopping in again the next time I'm in the area.

Two eggs, bacon, avocado on a skinny Everything bagel.

Going here was nostalgic for me bc I went to Salem State and Bagel World was right up the street from campus. It's a local chain on the North Shore that specializes in (surprise?!) bagels. The bagels are enormous, but if you're trying to keep it low(er) carb, ask them to make your bagel skinny and they will trim and scoop out some of the middle for you. Service was fast and they make the sandwiches right in front of you. I got 2 breakfast sandwiches with extras and add-ons plus one plain bagel and the total came to $18, which I feel is reasonably priced since I'm so particular. The pricing for the extra's (eggs under $2, avocado over $2) seemed a little much, though. The egg that they give you seems to be sufficient, I would prob skip adding that next time. The bacon was a little lacking, really thin and they were a little stingy with it. Overall it was a good sandwich but def not the best, I will be back if I'm on that side of route 1 again. There is a huge dining area separate from the registers where you order. They only have maybe 8 tables there and there seems to be a LOT of wasted space. It looks like the kind of place that only the "regulars" get a seat.

Ordering counter and cooler chocolate milk

Online ordering is convenient and saves you a long wait time. Good cooler beverage options. The local chocolate milk is amazing. I came to Bagel World at least once a week during my time living in Beverly, MA. The bagel sandwiches are five star quality. The coffee and flavors offered are very good. You can load up a bagel (as pictured), and barely be able to fit it in your mouth. I want to give this place a five star review, but the only great thing about the business is the food. The service is just sad. Workers always have an attitude. There is very limited seating, which has been filled by loitering guests more than once. Overall an amazing to-go bagel and coffee shop. Not a place you go to for the vibe, service, or experience.

What a place! I was at a wedding up in Salem over the weekend and was lucky this bagel heaven was within walking distance from the Airbnb. Right when I walked in, I knew I was at the right place! I ended up ordering three bagels because why not? I have 82 so far and have one for tomorrow morning with top-notch service and food. Bagels: 9.6 Service: 9.6 Scale system 10/10 would be what I want for my last meal 9.9-9.3 driving out of my way to get this 9.2-8.0 like the place and would go back 7.9-7.0 I would come here again if it were presented and don't have anything bad to say 6.9 and below - thanks but no thanks after try one

Bagel World's bagel sandwiches are massive and LOADED!

Not sure why the reviews here aren't more stellar... but this is my Boston go-to bagel spot (since as far back as 2016 and for my bf since 2013)! I soley come here for the bagel sandwiches but find myself (most of the time) buying half a dozen bagels plus their cream cheese spreads to bring back home for the next few days. The bagel sandwiches at Bagel World are massive and loaded! I alwayss get the smoked turkey bagel sandwich with an everything bagel, toasted, with garlic + herb cream cheese spread. These sandwiches come with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onions and BABY SPROUTS (my fav part)! I loovvee the micro sprouts and omit the onions. If I'm feeling fancy, I add bacon! The combination of all of these components makes this bagel sandwich a constant winner in my book! Seriously bae-goals! The breakfast bagel sandwiches are also good too- but nothing super special. I highly recommend the wild berry bagel (their version of a blueberry bagel) for those of you who like sweet bagels (or a good salty & sweet combo), if you're just buying bagels. The strawberry lite, jalapeño lite, and the garlic + herb cream cheese spreads are on a constant rotation for me cause they're all so good! They don't have a long fridge life (as I think they're made fresh and don't have preservatives) so be sure to just order enough or they'll go to waste. The interior here is what you would expect of a busy bagel spot that is more focused on the food than the vibes. The lines are long but move fast so stand tight and you'll be up next, very soon! The staff here are diligent and are pro bagel makers- they wrap my bagels sandwiches nice and tight so they have structure and don't fall apart immediately. Until I find another bagel place to frequent, I'll keep going to Bagel World!

The coffee is really well-made, though if you're ordering one of their specialty drinks, just a heads-up that they lean a little on the sweeter side. As for the food, the portions are huge! We ordered a side of bacon and I'm pretty sure we ate about 10 pieces and still left with a box. While the pancakes were just okay and probably something I'd skip next time to make room for new items, the rest of the meal was solid enough to keep me coming back. One thing you have to try is their signature ketchup. It's super interesting--almost like a cross between American Ketchup and Asian Banana Ketchup. We definitely needed a few extra helpings of ketchup for our eggs and hash bowl! The atmosphere is such a vibe, too; it has this modern-meets-ranch feel with a super cute rooster mural on the wall that ties it all together. Plus, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. It's a great spot to fuel up for the day!

On Sunday February 22 I oredered my usual breakfast and something for my wife. I was also ordered muffins and cookies for my daughter and her husband. They both love perfectos but live far away. However on my mobile wallet no payment for all items were listed. I was bewildered at home after our breakfast. At about 10:30 I was heading to back to Perfecto' to pay the money for all the items I thought were scanned correctly. Oddly there were two police cruisers blocking traffic and created a roundabout detour perhaps and car accident? I must make good on all the items I thought were scanned correctly. I cannot safely do that Monday with a dangerous blizzard dumping snow. The staff are really nice to me but I suggest they monitor transactions a little closer. I want that nice place to have their money. However their checkout machine give me fits . I thought transactions were correctly processed and they were not. I will go there Tuesday If roads are safe. I have a few faults but none involving non payment. I'm just getting older and the smartphones are smarter than me; on Monday morning ill be eating food I have not paid for yet. I have not been in this position before; These errors have caused me distress. I'll eat well on Monday blizzard day . I just won't enjoy it as much. James Dennehy
