The worst bagel I've ever had. I got a sesame bagel with cream cheese and "avocado" I got the bagel toasted but somehow the bottom was ice cold. The avocado was neon green paste from a baggy. Nothing tasted fresh. I scraped everything off and couldn't even eat the bagel just because of how ice cold it was. I think they Microwave their bagels. Super unfortunate I always walk by and want to give it a try. Never again don't waste your time go down the block for something worth it. Sorry. read more

Went there for some bagels for my East Coast guests. The bagels were amazing and my guests were impressed. Because of a previous review that was posted online I made sure to notice the employee's handling of the food. He was careful to remove his gloves when handling the money and then put new gloves on. I love this place and will definitely be back. read more

I really wanted to like this small bagel shop and support a local business in my area, but unfortunately, I had a deeply concerning experience that I can't overlook. While I was there, I observed the man working the counter handling money and then immediately touching food without washing his hands or changing his gloves. He kept taking the same glove on and off -- completely defeating the purpose of wearing them in the first place. When I politely brought this to his attention, he became defensive and began yelling at me, insisting I was wrong rather than addressing what is clearly a public health issue. To make matters worse, the prices here are noticeably high -- and for the quality and the service I experienced, it simply isn't worth it. Food safety is not optional. It's a basic requirement, especially for any business handling ready-to-eat items like bagels. I've filed a public health complaint with the county because this kind of negligence poses a serious risk to customers. I take no joy in leaving this review, but people deserve to know what to expect. I hope the business takes this seriously and makes the necessary changes -- until then, I cannot recommend this place. Do not visit this establishment and take your business elsewhere. read more

The woman who works here is consistently rude and obnoxious. She's constantly snapping at people. One time she yelled at me and left all the people in line behind me stunned. Anybody who is a regular here knows this about her. West Hills deserves MUCH better. read more

The woman who answers the phone is so awful. It didn't sound like she said Bagelicious when she answered, so had to make sure I reached the right place. She just kept repeating YES YES in the most obnoxious way. Wanted to smack her through the phone. Would never go in there just because of that. read more

We have been getting bagels here for over 10 yrs. We usually get them for brunch's and special occasions. They will even make pink bagels for Valentine's Day and green ones for st. Patrick's day. Always fresh. read more

I just bought a bagel with olive cream cheese and wow it was the best bagel I've ate in years. Reminded me of New York bagels. I'm kind of upset I didn't take 2. There bagels are fresh made daily and they have unique and delicious cream cheese options. I highly recommend if you haven't been here before go check it out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Probably the worst service i've ever received. I've never been so disrespected by someone serving food before...and just a bagel at that. I went in and asked for a bagel with cream cheese and a hot tea. After making the hot tea the lady put it on the counter and accidentally pulled the tea bag out of the cup and it landed on the counter and she put it back into the cup of water...when she was ringing me up i asked if i could have another teabag and she said it would be another $3. she said i need to hurry up and make a decision bc she "needs to go home" so i said if that's the case can i get a whole new tea bc the tea bag fell onto the counter. she responded saying ITS CLEAN AND ITS FINE. i said no i would like a new tea thank you. she got pissed off yelled at me and told me "PAY ME FIRST" i paid and got my tea and bagel and walked out. I will NEVER be returning to this bagel shop. My bagel also ended up being burnt anyway and tbh western bagel is better and i'll at least get decent service. Also if i'm going to pay for an over priced burnt bagel i would rather go ANYWHERE else. FUCK this place and your small business SUCKS. read more

I have such a hard time with this place. I want to love it. They have good bagels, they make great sandwiches, it's local. It's a family owned business... why Bagelicious? Why do you make it so hard to love you? Issue one: cleanliness. When you walk in, look up. Dust, grease. Dust on the fixtures, dust on the lights. There's no way that isn't falling down into the prep area. It's just gross. Issue two: hit and miss customer service. You may get the gentleman who works here, and if so, brace yourself, he should never be front of house. He makes a mean bagel but his personality is also mean. You may get the lady, and she is pleasant and will talk a blue streak... and the biggest flip-flops of customer "service" you've ever seen. On the one hand you may get lucky and get the "deal" that they will do anything to make you happy... you want a bagel? You want it toasted? You want cream cheese? You want lox? If it's on the menu we'll put it on the bagel and work out the reasonable cost... I'm not opposed to paying up to $10 for a bagel with cream cheese and lox. And sometimes that will be what you pay. On the other hand, you may get her on a day when you have to pay the full $16 for their lox and cream cheese sandwich even if you don't want the capers, onions, tomato, etc. I can get a bagel with cream cheese and lox, and a large coffee for under $10 by driving 2 miles. I can't play roulette each time I want to get breakfast. Issue three: If it is busy, they push back on credit cards. They want cash only. Apparently it's a problem with their Internet being slow. It's 2022... there's no excuse for being unable to support credit card transactions on the fly. If you are using Apple Pay, forget it. Clean it up, spend a night per week getting all the dust down. Figure out your a la carte menu. Keep the pleasant one in the front of house. Fix your credit card system so it can keep up with the demand. Like I said, I WANT to love this place! read more

Bagelicious. Never been before, even though, B located in the Platt Village where I always get my coffee. First look was not inviting at all. Somehow it shows dark inside for food joint. As soon as I walked in, she behind the counter told me in soft voice cash only today. Ok. Didn't know what they carry here, so I had to study. My lox bagel was $9.90! Quite pricy I thought. Good thing I had Starbucks chai latte in my hand. I really didn't want to order coffee here. Lox bagel was surprisingly good! I hate writing bad reviews, but have to be honest. I felt really let down by the lack of integrity in the service. I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese and lox, and the woman voluntarily "upgraded" me without asking (aka added potato salad and pickle that I didn't ask for or even eat) then charged me nearly $16 total without batting a lash. On top of that, I found a hair on my lox and the bagel was burnt. Definitely felt duped and won't be returning. read more

The female owner is so rude it's unbelievable. I worked in restaurants for 12 years and would never talk to multiple customers so rudely. Burnt bagels and sloppy work with horrible service. I wouldn't recommend this to my worst enemy. read more

Blown away by the amount of negative reviews. This place is the bomb! I can actually call my self a bagel connoisseur and these are hands down, top 3 bagels of my lifetime. The onion and everything are so good they don't even need toasting. Haven't been in the store as we have had them delivered. I suggest these bagels all day long. One bagel here is like two bagels from western bagel or any other brands. These are big bagels. Enjoy! read more

Incredible!! I don't know why this doesn't have 5 stars. I got the grilled chicken sandwich on an onion bagel. It was delicious. Came with a side of potato salad which is the best potato salad ive ever had! Most of the time they're too sweet but this one was perfect. I'll definitely be back here. Only Two stars because when you say you close at 2:00 pm that should include the entire menu. The place was Dimly lit, not a good feeling. The bagels were good but Not when we show up at 1:15 only to be told you can have anything with spreads. The avocado was rotten and they won't make a smaller fresh batch for the three bagels we wanted. Overall a bit expensive at $17.56 for a couple of bagels with cream cheese and coffees. The employee moral was down and I understand business is business and you wanna save on paying an employee. What's an extra 30 minutes to wrap up if you sell ten or more bagels? read more

WE LOVE THESE BAGELS! We have lived in this neighborhood for 19 years and so happy it's right around the corner. Bagels are fluffy and big and never disappoint. All the staff are courteous and helpful and you get a small shop atmosphere. Glad they made it through the pandemic. read more

I didn't get a chance to take a photo of my food, but definitely enjoyed it! Ordered a toasted jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese and tomato slices, and a hazelnut coffee. The bagel and coffee were DELICIOUS and I would definitely go back or order online again. Also really appreciated this sticker on the coffee. The name says it all- bagels here are always soft and fresh. The breakfast bagel with egg, bacon, cheese and tomato is my favorite! The lox one is the other popular one if you like fishy. It's a sweet lady that takes her time to make you one with pride. You can taste the love in the bagel. It can be a little bit of a wait depending on when you come but it's worth it. Coffee is hot and fresh and there's a selection of cold drinks in the counter if you're avoiding caffeine. Parking is easy and is located in a plaza perfect for weekend errands. read more

Recently I tried a couple of new items for me that are now favorites...the potato chops and the lentil soup. The potato chops are filled with savory, seasoned beef inside mashed potatoes that are then fried so that the outside is crispy. The lentil soup is so flavorful with a little bit of a kick. It is better than the lentil soup that my mom made when I was growing up, which is saying a lot! The restaurant also currently participates with the apps "Too Good To Go" and "InKind", so if you use either, you are in luck! We love the fresh bread and baked goods, so getting a surprise bag with two loaves of fresh bread at the price of one loaf in a market is an amazing deal!
