    Pastrami on rye
    Rodney F.

Stopped in to pick up a pastrami sandwich to go for a taste comparison to another local deli not too far away "B**nts". The restaurant is similarly decorated with an old time local town cafe type feeling. The staff was friendly and restaurant was clean. The pastrami sandwich was served on rye bread (we had asked for a roll). This pastrami was thicker cut with a bit more fat content than the competitor. Normally I do not like fat on my pastrami but for some reason I definitely like this sandwich quite a bit more than the other one. The other members of our party didn't agree but I would definitely choose this pastrami over the other with preferably a roll vs rye slices. Overall a solid 4/5 and good sandwich!

Driving by from Nordstrom Rack on Victory and made a u-turn as I caught a glimpse of this business to the right. I never knew it was there. Its in a strip mall where the parking is a bit challenging but doable. I love the Weiler's on Parthenia (I think thats the street), but anyhoo, GREAT deli sandwiches. Fresh and very generous with the meat. They also have great soups. I love the chicken noodle with the matzo ball. In addition they have a large selection of breakfast items and deserts. Prices are fair and the atmosphere is family friendly. Service was good also.

My favorite deli in the 818 Valley! Ive been going to Weilers in Northridge for over 13 yrs untill they closed down a few hrs ago. Forgot they have this place here on the other side of town. Service was decent , the ambiance was relaxing and if you ask for pickles and sauerkraut, they give you a small tray! Delicious as always ! See you guys soon!

Such yummy food! The breakfast burrito was so yum with lots of egg and meat, good chunks of avocado. It was delicious! The hash browns were cooked perfect super crisp just as I like them. I will continue to praise this place! So good! And reasonable!

    Not Turkey Pastrami
    MD H.

been coming here forever, and took my wife for valentines day one day late on Sunday. food was good as usual and we ordered a "turkey pastrami" to go for my son, he does not eat pastrami. when we got home he noticed that it was not turkey pastrami so he could not eat it. I called the restaurant...no answer. I emailed the restaurant....no answer. So, here I am. I understand that mistakes happen but when the establishment does not respond to attempts at contact, I guess that says a lot about their commitment to good food and customer service. Ah well it was fun while it lasted as I head out to Brent's Deli.

Top view of Super Reuben, with cup of potato salad.

We were in town for an event, and after leaving the mall, we found this restaurant. We were seated quickly, got there before the lunch crowd Megan S, our server, was very pleasant, and accommodating to us. I asked for recommendation on the reuben sandwiches and she said if you like corned beef and pastrami, she said get the Super Reuben. Pastrami and corned beef mixed together with melted Swiss cheese and thousand dressing, and homemade sauerkraut! Plenty of meat on the sandwich, and moist too. I chose potato salad for my side. I love a good potato salad and I was not disappointed. Small cubes of potato with chopped celery to add crunch to it. My husband had the roast beef dip. Nice layer of roast beef slices and a cup of au jus to dip. He ordered it with onion rings instead of fries, he is allergic to potatoes. After our order was taken, Megan brought out a small.plates with pickle halves and homemade sauerkraut. The sauerkraut had a strong pickle taste, I loved it, tasted fresh. The pricing on the sandwiches is a little steep, but it does compare to our local deli in Torrance where we are from. I ended up bringing half my sandwich home, which I ate for dinner later. If you are in the area and wanting a good sandwich with lots of meat, be sure to stop by Frank Weiler's Deli, you will leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.

If your looking for a real sub look no further A friend…read moretold me about Cricca's Deli & being a big fan of Sub's I had to check this place out. Let just start with Cricca's Deli makes some seriously well-crafted sandwiches. The quality really stands out -- generous portions of meat, fresh vegetables, and great attention to detail in every bite. You have several choices of bread, and I went with the soft roll, which tasted bakery-fresh and was the perfect match for the sandwich. The large subs are truly large -- easily big enough to share between two people. If you're looking for a deli sandwich made with fresh ingredients and generous portions, Cricca's is definitely worth a visit. If you in the area or looking for a high quality sandwich you have to check this place out - you will not be disappointed. I'll be back For Sure

It's a small Italian deli that hits the way you want it to. To the right as soon as you walk in, there's seats and a table where you can wait for your to go order or to eat there. The entire shop was clean, neat and orderly. It's sensory overload walking in. There's a lot going on. The menu is massive. I knew what I wanted after doing some homework before arriving so I was ready. The lady that took my order couldn't have been more of a pleasure to deal with. I placed my order, paid, tipped and sat down. A few minutes later, I had what is probably the best sandwich I've had this year. I should have sat in the parking lot and enjoyed it but I wanted the elbow room because I knew this was a monster. After I got home and unwrapped this behemoth, I instantly knew it was worth the drive. The Dillinger (which is what I ordered) has Pastrami, Meatballs, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozz Cheese, Garlic Butter and Marinara Sauce. If there's a better (big back) sandwich, I'll wait for your reply. This was soooooo gooood. In every bite you could taste each ingredient separately and it was an explosion of flavors. I ordered a small cup of their marinara sauce to dip/drizzle on each bite.....couldn't have been a better decision. Worth it. The 3 ladies that were working the front counter (around noon on 4/23) were the best. Just an all around great experience and fantastic food. I'll be back soon FOR SURE!!!!

It's been around for decades and has served tons of patrons over the years. Inside is huge with all sorts of tables and booths so it can host many different sized groups from small to large. It's located in a small shopping center so there is plenty of free parking attached directly in front, which is extremely convenient. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. For this visit, I started off with a cup of the Chili and thought it was actually really good. I am a huge fan of chili and don't often get some that I really love, but this was definitely one of those. Next came the Mini Blintzes and these were pretty nice. I prefer a full Blintz because it has a lot more cheese and filling, but still these were a nice start, especially if are were new to this appetizer. For my entrée, I chose the Pastrami Reuben and thought it was great. It was honestly huge and I even forgot to take a picture of it because I was excited to eat it. I would suggest if you are a fan of Rubens and would suggest this restaurant in general if you like a good deli.

This was my first time here, and I am told it is kind of an institution in this area. It is a pretty non-descript strip shopping center. It can best be described as an old-school diner/deli, full service, and pretty much always bustling. I was surprised that it was almost to capacity by 11:30am, even before the lunch rush. You take a look at the menu, and note that the prices appear to be about 5 dollars higher than places similar in nature; however, you will also soon realize that the portion size and value for that dollar goes a long way, and you will quickly notice that the price paid is really good for what you get. I ordered the Monte Cristo which was deliciously fried egg bread with turkey, ham and a side of jam. It came with potato or macaroni salad; however, I upgraded to fries which were awesome. The service was nice; however, definitely a little rushed. However, that may come with the type of establishment. Either way, the food came out fast -- the food was delicious and I would certainly return again in the future.

My husband purchased several knishes from Mort's Deli. We understood these to be meat knishes based upon how they were described and priced. After bringing them home and cutting them open, we discovered that they were not true meat knishes, but rather potato-and-meat knishes. Had the product been accurately described, we would not have purchased it. We specifically sought meat knishes and paid the corresponding price (see the receipts attached). When I contacted the store to address the issue, employee Kate maintained that the potato-and-meat knish should nevertheless be considered a meat knish. Regardless of the terminology used internally by the store, the product was not what we reasonably understood we were purchasing. The situation became even more troubling when I repeatedly requested copies of the receipts. During the course of the dispute, I was informed that the receipts were not accessible. However, the receipts were ultimately produced and later emailed to me as ordered by the police. Notably, the receipts explicitly identified the product as a "Brisket Knish" and reflected the corresponding charge. The receipts therefore became an important part of understanding how the product had been represented and sold. Rather than resolving the matter promptly and professionally, manager Gail continued to escalate the situation unnecessarily. Ultimately, Gail instigated the calling of law enforcement to the store. Two police officers responded to the scene. Following their investigation, the store was ordered by the police to produce the receipts. The police officers became involved in what should have been a routine customer-service matter. With their assistance, the receipts were eventually produced after previously being misrepresented as inaccessible. What makes this experience particularly upsetting is that my husband is severely disabled, partially paralyzed, and walks with a cane. What should have been a simple request for fair treatment escalated into an unnecessary confrontation involving law enforcement. The needless inconvenience, travel, physical burden, and emotional distress inflicted upon both my husband and me were unfair and unjustifiable. As loyal customers, we found the entire experience shocking and disturbing. We sent the store owner an email detailing the incident but the owner never responded.
