Just awesome bagels and breakfast sandwiches - exactly as advertised

Happened just now! Super friendly place. A friend took one bite from half his sandwich while sitting on the bench in front. The wind blew and lifted the bag of the other exposed half sandwich and it dropped to the ground. We were ready to take the loss from bad luck, but one of the young employees, Bobby, came out and offered a replacement for the fallen sandwich. This place is better than most bagel places. I came at about 7am the bagels seemed fresh. The staff was friendly. I ordered a pork roll egg and cheese. Every thing was cooked good. The bagel was delicious. It had good texture, it was fluffy, and not hard at all almost chewy. I highly recommend this place for a good breakfast sandwich read more

This is a pretty good little spot. We went for brunch, I got a turkey bagel sandwich. It was really good. The staff was a little meh, and they only accept cash. I'm sure that it would be yummy to get for breakfast. I would definitely return. read more

First off, these bagels are not made on location. They apparently are made elsewhere, frozen, and then shipped to each location. I discovered this fact after mentioning that I didn't understand why my bagel would be cold. I would also point that the employees where plastic gloves for sanitary reasons, yet wear those same gloves to handle the cash, and wipe the counter. Also, it's odd that they don't accept cards, but offer a cash machine, but then they carefully inspect the cash you give them right out of the machine. Bagles are always fresh and staff works quickly. This location is always busy, but the line moves fast. Pork roll, egg & cheese is my husbands favorite & I love to get bagles to go and their house made cream cheese is amazing! read more

Good bagel place, worth stopping if that's what you're in the mood for. Lox spread was tasty but lacking a strong lox flavor, but laid on thick! Everything bagel was tasty but I assumed it would be toasted (who doesn't toast their bagel?!), so be sure to ask for that. Also it's cash only, a little chaotic and took awhile for orders to come out, so be ready to be patient. I overheard the cashier saying they were remodeling/expanding which would be great. I heard that this bagel place was best in the area and I can't tell you how disappointed I was. Bagel was undercooked in the middle and definitely not "puffy" like typical jersey/New York bagels. I got a cinnamon raisin bagel and the flavor was just ok, but definitely not enough cinnamon or raisins. I moved to the west coast about 2 years ago and couldn't wait to eat a bagel when I came back for a visit and this was such a disappointment. Maybe the baker was off today but I could tell just by site that these were not a good "jersey" bagel. read more

Bagels are good but not a truly good NY style, boiled and then baked bagel. Service is a disappointment. I have yet to have anyone say good morning or hello or even crack a smile. Seems like you're bothering them when you place an order. We need a real bagel shop in town with a friendly staff. Oh, and don't go in shortly before they close, you'll get the sink eye. read more

I visit the Bagels and Beyond in Manahawkin, NJ.. Great place for an egg sandwhich. Went here four days in a row and loved it. Great bagels and prices are somewhat decent. Wish I had a deli like this close to me in Florida. Only thing I would say is that the young girls that work there always seem to be angry and have an attitude. read more
