    Cookie, sprinkles, plain

This place is located on NE corner of Delmar and Old Bonhomme. There are about 5 spaces in front and about 4 in the back of the building. It is really small but the bagels were great. I posted the menu with current prices (see photo). Not sure if legit bagels are hard to find in St Louis but there were great. Both the plain and sprinkles were good and so was the cookie. I think it was oatmeal, raisin, white chocolate chip.

Bagels and Bliss is one of my favorite bagel shops! The owners and staff are super friendly. They are incredibly efficient, even though the line may be long don't be intimidated. The place is small but perfect for a quick grab and go! I love their bagels, cinnamon rolls, and all of their baked goods.

I heard about Bagels and Bliss from my friend who is a native New Yorker and KNOWS good bagels. I've been here twice in the past week because their bagels are just that good! Both times, they've sold out of many of their popular flavors including the churro, jalapeno everything, and garlic rosemary. My favorite one so far is the Everything bagel. I got a half dozen for a little under $2 per bagel and they have the perfect chewiness, density, and flavor. I haven't had a chance to try their bagel sandwiches yet but the lox looks very tempting as does their sweet pastries, especially the babka and cinnamon buns. I will be back soon!

Incredible bagels! They always load them up with cream cheese. And super cheap too! Only $4 for a bagel with cream cheese. If you get the lox it's $12 but they also pack it with salmon. The people working are always so friendly and they get it done quickly. It's small space but it's grab and go so it works. Love them!

Amazing! I stopped in here on a Friday morning and it wasn't super busy. We ordered bagel and lox on an everything bagel. They were around $13 each which is very reasonable and they were some of the best I think I've ever had. The bagels had JUST come out. They were warm, perfectly chewy and just enough everything seasoning. The portion of lox was generous and the ratio of all the toppings (onion, tomato and capers) was perfect. If you are in the area stop in - you will not be disappointed. One thing to note this is more of a grab and go vs. eat in but 100% worth it.

Bagels are amazing, I'm from E Coast and yes just as good or better then bagels in NY City. It's so hard to get a good egg salad, best I've ever had was in LA at Erewhon, this was just as good. I am so impressed with this place I'll be taking a dozen home to freeze when I leave St Louis. This is truly a hidden gem from tourist.

I think this might be my new favorite bagel spot! The inside is kind of small and practically no seating so you have to take it to go. The service however was amazing great! The bagels themselves were very soft and chewy. My favorite was the loaded lox bagel highly recommend and the cinnamon roll!!

New bagel shop in U City at Delmar & Old Bonhomme. They are in the middle of a "soft opening." They don't have everything on the menu and only take cash, check, and Zelle. There were about 4 people ahead of me at 8:30am on a Wednesday. I got a tzitzel, onion, salt and cinnamon raisin with one side of cream cheese. Right now they just have plain cream cheese. How were the bagels? Delicious! They were yeasty and soft and clearly hand rolled. I personally like a little bit more chew and crispness to the crust but I think these things evolve over time. There is clearly a need for fresh bagels in this neighborhood as the people kept streaming in. I will be back here again and again. You should go too!

I came here for the first time, wanting a sandwich and wanting to try a new spot. I was greeted as soon as I entered. Very quaint establishment: I KNOW the name of the place says "grocer", but I was still under the impression that this was a sandwich shop and it's not. Blame my hunger, ok??? It is a grocery store, and a small one at that. I head to the back to the deli and the butcher was super helpful with answering ALL my questions. Learned more about how everything works and more. All sandwiches are pre made and once they sell out, they're gone. There was a turkey sandwich and a roast beef one left. I opted for the turkey sandwich, asked for a side of remoulade sauce that's originally used for the shrimp po boy I believe. I bought a bag of chips to go with it. Total was about $15. The sandwich was delicious. LOADED with turkey and arugula it had a dill spread on it, and it was also sooo good. the remoulade helped give it more flavor and kick. All I needed was some onion slices (tear) I will definitely be back.

This was so good; we came here the whole week we were in St. Louis for lunch! The office I was working in was on the same block as Pastaria Deli & Wine, so a less than five-minute walk from the office, so no driving or need to hail an Uber was awesome. Inside there are wine bottles all over the walls and it just has this cozy, Italian café/deli vibe. Depending on when you get there, the line to the cash register can snake out the door, but it moves pretty fast. There's a surprising number of tables inside and since the weather was nice, there were several tables out in front. Each day, we had the same cashier, Carly (I believe that's her name). Carly was incredibly bubbly, cute, fun! Once we placed our order, we received a metal tag with a number on it and found a table. I didn't order any sort of specialty drink; I took advantage of the free water located near the back of the restaurant. The time from when we placed our order to getting our lunch was pretty quick, even when the place was packed for lunch. So for the three days I was in St. Louis, I ordered these three sandwiches: 1. Il Capo Italiano: Lemon ricotta, mortadella, soppressata, mozzarella, giardiniera, salted potato chips (Miss Vickie's most likely), arugula, red wine vinegar, & extra virgin olive oil on a 6.5" Union Loafers Hoagie - A jam-packed sandwich! The lemon ricotta was amazing and the crunch from the salted potato chips was excellent. Beware that this sandwich is heavy on the oils, so be prepared to "wear" this sandwich the rest of the day unless you brought your toothbrush. haha This sandwich was plenty thick, the slices of mozzarella really helped to make this sandwich thick and filling. 2. Volpi Heritage Prosciutto: Volpi Heritage prosciutto, butter, lemon olive oil, & house-made giardiniera on a 6.5" Union Loafers Hoagie - The lemon olive oil was a very pleasant flavor, not too strong. Of the three sandwiches I ordered, this was the smallest in terms of fillings but it was still plenty filling for lunch with a bag of Miss Vicky's Spicy Dill Pickle chips! 3. Chicken Bacon Ranch: Thin sliced chicken breast, bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, tomato, arugula, banana peppers, & jalapeno-ricotta ranch on a 6.5" Union Loafers Hoagie - The sliced chicken breast was piled on thick and the bacon was a welcome addition. There was plenty arugula and banana peppers inside but the jalapeno-ricotta ranch elevated this! Creamy with a slight spicy kick to it. I didn't have one bad meal here and for the quality and quantity, I felt the prices were pretty reasonable, especially in the year 2026. Pastaria Deli & Wine is an awesome lunch spot! The friendly staff, cool, authentic Italian-vibes, fast service, and the quality food, it comes together here! I can't wait to come back through St. Louis for work and stop in here again for lunch, maybe I'll even treat myself to some of their gelato!
