As a New Yorker I've been on the hunt for a decent bagel shop now that I've relocated to St. Louis. It's not exactly a New York bagel if that's what you're expecting but it's pretty close. Super yummy bagels, and the breakfast sandwiches were great! They'll definitely be a line so be prepared to wait, but it moves quick and the staff is friendly. There's picnic tables outside to enjoy your bagel on a nice day.

This is how you make a BEC. This. Is. How. You. Make. A. BEC!!!! Theeeee only place I trust to make me a breakfast sandwich. They add all the right seasonings so it's super savory and toasty. The thick cut bacon is real crispy and the bread is fresh. The staff is no nonsense and knowledgeable of their menu. I'm greeted with a smile every time and they're always consistent. I'm so glad they recently started putting cream cheese on the bagels instead of doing it myself since it can be quite messy. I'm glad they let the professionals handle it! I'm always happy to spend $15 there. Waiting for my order is probably the only set back since it's quite small inside but this place still has my heart.

I'm a big fan of the Bagel Union bagels so it's obvious I loved Bagel Station. I've really grown to like the crispy crackly skin on their bagels. I ordered an egg & pepper jack sandwich on tzitzelnickel bagel. I also got a salt bagel with scallion cream cheese. I loved that there was no line while I was there on a weekday morning. This is not my neighborhood but if I'm here anytime bagels are appropriate and they are open I'll be stopping by!

Interesting spot in Shaw neighborhood, located in a former gas station. An assortment of bagels are offered - the real thing (water bagels). Bagels are large, wonderfully crunchy on the outside, moist and chewy on the inside. Interestingly, they only sell the bagels unadorned, so if you want butter or cream cheese you can buy some as an individual serving then slice and slather your own. If it were me, I think I'd offer the shmears behind the counter. Kind of a pain in the neck to be self service especially if you're going to sit outside at the picnic table and eat 'em. That nit notwithstanding, it's a cute little spot and the bagels are good.

The Bagel Station is a quaint bagel shop located at the corner of Thurman and Cleveland in the Shaw neighborhood. They have a selection of bagels to take home or eat outside along with cream cheese options in the cooler. If you choose to eat your bagel onsite, they have a station outside with a bagel cutter, knives, and hour sauces so you can make your bagel. They had a delicious Sunday special sandwich that was packed with flavor!!! Fiddlehead Fern had a truck in the parking lot where you could purchase coffee and drinks to accompany your bagel or sandwich. They have an assortment of items for purchase along with the bagels such as apple butter, chili crisp, plants, and bagel chips. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back to try more of their items!

Amazing. The customer service is so good, it's clean, they support smaller businesses, and the food is great. I got an onion bacon egg and cheese bagel. It was $11.67. Definitely worth the price for everything I experienced today! Edit: I forgot to add that they have a parking lot!! I was so happy to learn that I didn't have to park on the street to eat here.

Since this place is such a staple, we figured we had to give it a try. The place was absolutely packed, which clearly shows it's a local favorite. Even with how busy they were, our pickup order was ready on time -- actually before the scheduled pickup since I arrived about five minutes early. The atmosphere definitely had that classic local sandwich shack vibe and seemed like it would make a great casual lunch spot for almost any occasion. Unfortunately, the food itself just didn't live up to the reputation for us. We ordered the hot salami sandwiches, which they're known for, but they were extremely greasy and the only flavors that really stood out were mustard and grease. We expected a lot more flavor and balance considering it's their specialty item. We also placed a large luncheon order of 10 sandwiches. Everyone was satisfied overall and the food was decent enough, but nothing really stood out or made us excited to come back. We personally prefer Adriana's for both flavor and overall quality. One of the biggest disappointments was that none of the sandwiches had cheese on them, even though we paid an extra $2 per sandwich for the garlic cheese bread upgrade. That was frustrating considering the additional charge. Honestly, I'm guessing we may have just caught them on an off day because it's obvious this spot has a loyal following. We still appreciate supporting local STL businesses and can understand why so many people love it -- it just wasn't quite the experience we were expecting.

That's Garden Variety Deli. Genuinely kind, cool people who are passionate about their food--and it shows! I had already decided on going with Turkey, again but when I went to the counter to order they were out of the turkey. The staff manning the counter suggested the Roast Beef. I was skeptical as I have my favorite roast beef sandwiches, but I went with it. They are super friendly here and everything is so fresh! I had to go with their suggestion. I added on a peach scone. Took a seat at the counter by the window, grabbed a glass of water from the dispenser and read me book and watched the people till my sandwich was ready. All the sandwiches come on their house made focaccia and it is very good! Roast beef, romesco, pickled radish, aioli, and greens. It was a delicious sandwich, I loved the pickled radish and the whole sandwich had great flavor and freshness that you could taste - just like everything I have had here. I ate half and saved half for lunch the next day. I like scones as they are a nice dough but not overly sweet. This one had great texture and crumb. Love this place, the people and the food are great!

I particularly like how the menu has illustrations of the cocktails so you know how they are served. Plus everything is seasonal! For food, I give it a 4/5. When we arrived it was steady but we were seated pretty quickly. The atmosphere is really nice and intimate. Nice music and vibes. Tables are really small for a table of 2. Menu options looks great and the cocktail menu too. Our server was nice and friendly. For the table, we ordered chicken wings, onion rings and green chile cheeseburger and that burger was highly recommended. For my cocktail, I ordered a peach bite. Food came out at a decent time and it didn't really hit the spot. The wings weren't bad. I like the tangy taste of the sauce they are tossed in but i did not like dressing on the side. It's their green goddess which was not good to us. My husband did not like his burger at all. However the onion rings were a hit. My Peach bite was wonderful. Very cute ice block branded but not a lot of cocktail in the glass. Maybe I would return with friends knowing what not to order but it's a definite no for my husband.
