My favorite bagel shop of all time. All of their bagels and breakfast sandwiches are amazing - do not miss the blueberry crunch bagel if you have a sweet tooth and also their crumb cake is delicious!!

Best bagels anywhere - New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania (lol). How this place isn't five stars is absolutely absurd. The service is always superb as well.

The best bagel spot in all of Southern Central NJ :-) This place is always packed and has a huge line, especially in the summer months. Their eggg and cheese sandwiches and bagel quality is great. Why is this place so beloved? In my opinion it's bc they ALWAYS have super crunchy and crispy bacon on their BEC sandwiches. The only knock is they only accept cash which is annoying in 2022 - like cmon get with the times already lol

Some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had!! Ordered a pork roll egg and cheese on an everything and egg bagel - they were both great. The bagel itself isn't dry/is very fluffy and the sandwiches don't skimp on the filling. BUT, if you make the trip here, make sure to bring cash because it is cash only but there is an ATM in the corner

Very good bagels delivered in New Year's Day in 20 minutes

New Year's Day morning I placed an order on DoorDash. Twenty minutes later a dozen of steaming fresh bagels and 2 bialys arrived at my door. Taped to the bag was a pack of M&Ms and a hand written "thank you :)" on the receipt. Everyone loved the bagels and they even did the salt bagel right (tasted like a bagel that crossed a pretzel and not a plain bagel with a slathering of salt stuck to it). Outside of NYC high quality bagels that are not rolls with holes are difficult to come by, but I definitely give Bagels and Cream a "pass" and added them to my ever growing bagel shop rotation.

My favorite place in Mercer County to grab a bagel. The staff are friendly, and the food comes out fast. You can't go wrong with one of their everything bagels or their sesame bagels, but their blueberry crunch are to die for. If you go too late in the morning, they might run out!

    Nice lox

I had a desire for a bagel as did my boo, and this venue has some high ratings. So off we went! It was WELL worth the schlep from Bordentown. As countless others say: "it's hard to find a good bagel here." Yeah yeah, so go to Bagels N Cream then! They've a good product and also nice people. We didn't notice that the hours have been reduced due to COVID, although most bagel places here close around 2 and these guys are normally (pre-COVID) open til 5 on weekdays. Despite the grill being shut down, we were able to get fresh-tasting bagels at 3:20 PM the Thursday after a hurricane. No complaints on that! Bagels were what you want: pleasantly chewy (reflective of their boil), and voluminous. Not cement, nor the store bought Thomas/Lender's insubstantial garbage you'll largely encounter in South Jersey and many areas as you radiate away from the hallowed environs of NYC. Montreal also has great bagels, but that's another story... The grill was down for the day, but they were advertising a gyro that looked delicious along with a large menu of different sandwiches. Another reason to return... There are also a couple of well-stocked refrigerators with snapple & soda along with several coffee vats & hot water for tea. The lox was good and passed the "will the cat eat it?" test. Garlic bagel was pleasantly seasoned but not overpowering. Perhaps I would've wanted more garlic had there not been lox, no big deal. Oh, and my girlfriend's plain with scallion cream cheese met her exacting "I'm from Long Island so I'm the arbiter of good bagels" standards! Today I saw why Bagels N Cream has been around for many years and will hopefully stick around for many more. Good quality, friendly yet efficient staff, and great selection. Regardless of where you are, what else can you ask for?

Best bagel shop!!! Since I had to drive 3hrs just to get here, I preordered 4 dozen bagels (will wrap individually & freeze and reheat as we enjoy). And I must say, it was definitely worth it!!! The service was great too! The shop was clean and organized.

Was in town for a wedding and we were looking for a good bagel spot! I saw the reviews for this place and we had to give it a try. WOW, this was so good! It was so good we went back again before we headed out of town. The bagels were freshly made and doughy. The pork roll with potatoes was an absolute game changer and what we need back in DC! Order: Egg white, pork roll, cheddar cheese, potatoes, hot sauce on plain bagel

We called and confirmed multiple times the order prior to picking it up. We wanted to get Italian, turkey and cheese and chicken cutlet with no prosciutto. Again we confirmed this multiple times. We originally wanted to get the smaller tray that came with three whole sandwiches but our guest list expanded so we had to make our order a bit bigger. This was well 48 hours prior to picking up the tray. When my wife called, the woman was incredibly rude. Eventually we decided to just hang up and try again later hoping to get someone else. The second person we spoke with was quite sweet. They were accommodating but again we confirmed multiple times the sandwiches that we wanted. I went to pick it up on Saturday, they put the tray in front of me and they got our sandwiches wrong. No cutlet was included, instead it was prosciutto with mozzarella and red pepper. My wife can't have the deli meats and we wanted to get the cutlet sandwich so she could eat. The girl at the front desk tried to be accommodating but went back to speak to her manager. The options were get a new sandwich made and get 10% off or leave it and get 10% off the whole catering order. (There was a sign behind them showing a promo that said 10% off now through 2/3. So that was pretty rude of the manager to suggest that since it was already 10% off). I explained that they messed up and it should be included. They refused. So I had to get the sandwich made and pay for it. Absolutely absurd customer service. Oh but don't worry, they gave us 15% of in the end. They even messed up the sides and condiments that were supposed to be included. No hot peppers, no balsamic, no mustard. All of which was printed on the receipt. And again we confirmed multiple times via phone. I suppose this was partially my fault since I trusted they would have got this right and didn't check. Just a horrible excuse for customer service. The poor girl behind the counter was trying but her manager didn't even bother to come out when a customer spending hundreds of dollars is clearly upset with their order. Pathetic. Will not be coming back.

For…read moreweeks, cars have lined up in the shoulder of Route 33 like pilgrims on a fried chicken crusade, all of them seeking enlightenment in a red and yellow shrine called Dave's Hot Chicken. Naturally, I had to see what the fuss was about. I ordered takeout because the cars stretched past the entrance way like a metal conga line led by hunger and curiosity . The object of my investigation was Dave's Sliders with fries. The sliders arrived on little potato buns, as if each were the pride of a humble Idaho farmer, topped with kale slaw, pickles, and Dave's sauce. And reader, they were beautiful. Everything worked in harmony. The crisp of the chicken, the brightness of the slaw, the subtle rebellion of the pickles. I chose the "medium" spice level, which turned out to be about as dangerous as a well-mannered librarian. Next time I will go "hot," maybe even "reaper," because if I am going to suffer, I would rather it be for art or poultry. Now, as for the mac and cheese: tragedy, pure and simple. It tasted as though it had been boiled in a space-age pouch, the kind of food that might be served in the afterlife if the afterlife were a public-school cafeteria. It was mac and cheese that had given up on its dreams. Still, the name of the place is Dave's Hot Chicken, not Dave's Existentially Redeemed Macaroni. The chicken was excellent, and that is what matters. So I will give Dave's four stars out of five, because perfection is a myth, and because next time I intend to burn just a little brighter.

I entered the Jersey Mike's in Hamilton Square because their chicken salad sub had made one of its brief, limited-time appearances. When this specific mixture of chopped poultry and mayonnaise returns to the menu, I feel a strange personal obligation to consume it before it vanishes back into the corporate ether. The three young men working behind the counter were bantering cheerfully with one another. They were not putting on a fake performance of corporate enthusiasm. They genuinely seemed to enjoy existing in the same room. Nobody appeared miserable. Nobody was staring into the fluorescent lighting pondering the futility of human labor. They were simply three adolescents having a good time while wrapping food in butcher paper. My sandwich was constructed quickly and correctly. The chicken salad was cold, creamy, and properly seasoned, which is everything one can reasonably ask of dead bird on a roll. The entire transaction was pleasantly uneventful. Central New Jersey is a dangerous territory in which to evaluate a sandwich. We are surrounded by independent delis operated by fiercely competitive humans who will happily debate the structural integrity of a hoagie roll for an hour. Jersey Mike's is a massive corporate franchise born on the Jersey Shore, so it does not possess the soul of a family corner store. Yet sometimes one does not want an adventure. Sometimes you simply want predictable consistency and a limited-run chicken salad sub. For that purpose, this Hamilton location performed its duty with unexpected grace.

It felt almost rebellious to drink something that tasted like the 20th century. The place was nearly empty when I walked in, but within five minutes it was buzzing. Three line cooks moved like their feet were on fire. A young woman at the front kept the chaos civilized, sliding bags onto shelves and trays into hands with the calm of someone who has seen worse days. She was very good at her job. My order arrived hot enough to make my glasses fog. The crab was all body meat, none of the prized claw, but there was plenty of it. Sometimes quantity has a quality all it's own. The Old Bay gave a mild sting on the tongue and reminded me that flavor is sometimes about memory as much as ingredients. The napkins had a word search, a maze, and a spot-the-difference game on the backs. I did not touch them. I admired the idea though. It was a neat way to keep kids or bored adults occupied without wasting paper on disposable menus, flyers or tray covers. The meal and soda cost just under twenty dollars with tip. That is a little high for noodles and crab from a fast casual joint, but these are the days we are living in. All in all, I left satisfied, and asking for more than that from your lunch is just setting yourself up for disappointment. 4 stars.
