The place is filthy, sparse selection of stale bagels. Owner not very nice. Asked for a napkin, got some paper towels.

Bagels are best in the area, service is great. The location is down to earth and comfortable. The bagels are worth it.

Their bagels are baked, not water boiled. Tastes more like a roll. Little flavor. Not chewy, but flaky. No line.

I don't know why the reviews are so bad. It's a little dirty yes, but I just eat my bagels to-go, and they're solid bagels.

Some love brook side for the monster bacon egg and cheeses, some love bagel chalet for sausage egg, and the lunch bomb bites - but bagel plus makes the best smoked whitefish spread.

That's because when you pull into the shopping plaza.....you don't see it. But if you circle around to the right, you'll see it on the side of the strip mall's buildings. And trust me, this spot is definitely worth hunting down to experience a standout breakfast or lunch. We walked in a little before 1:00 yesterday and found a table for two in the back left corner of the dining room, so we had a good view of the entire room. I have to tell ya, the place was packed! Breakaway closes at 3:00 every day except Sunday (2:00), and there were breakfast and lunch menus out, plus a few daily specials. My wife went with a "William's Ham Panini" ($17) with thin sliced ham, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar and honey mustard on a grilled panini. We both were struck at how much ham was piled onto her sandwich. She had a few choices for a side dish and put her nickel down on potato salad. I went with The JT Salad ($16). The menu says it's been their "best-selling salad 25 years and counting". It was a big portion of mixed greens served with house balsamic dressing, grape tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese, and grilled chunks of teriyaki glazed chicken breast. It was stellar, with plenty of that yummy cheese and chicken. The only sour note with our lunch was a rather steep $4.25 for a glass of iced tea that was half-filled with ice. The food was very good and a decent amount of leftovers came home with us for another day. I was unexpectedly impressed by how crowded Bistro was on a random Monday. I bet you'll be too.

The coffee was also very good and complemented the meal nicely. The restaurant has a comfortable seating area and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for breakfast or brunch. The home fries were average compared to the rest of the meal, but they didn't take away from the overall experience. The quality of the omelet, good coffee, friendly service, and pleasant environment made for a very satisfying visit. Overall, a great local breakfast spot, and I'd definitely come back to try more items from the menu.

Actually the dining area is small, and the feeling in the room is almost like you're in the basement of a house. Aluminum gutters as crown molding is an unusual touch! The service was great. Very attentive. Food did not come out fast. Dinner was fun. Cheesesteak was good. The sandwich was a bit messy to eat but that might be expected. Custom chicken sandwich was not quite as stated on the menu. The "tempura" fried chicken was more like a frozen patty than a tempura battered piece. I had a fun dinner. Two chili dogs and fries! Have not ordered that for dinner since Lum's was down the street! My only criticism is that they were not on a New England style roll. (Buttered & grilled). My fries were cold. The tater tots are the way to go The real surprise of the night was the bottle of root beer. It tasted like the real thing and not the big brand sugar water! We finished the night with lava cake and cannoli, which were ok. The ice cream served with the cake was the winner!

They pride themselves with offering gluten free options and an awareness of food allergies. This location is located in the Shops of Farmington. There are plenty of parking especially out back by the red barn. The restaurant was large and spacious. There was a huge U-shaped bar. They also have a nice patio area with plenty of seating and a fire pit; this would be great when the weather is nice. My family and I had lunch on Saturday. It was busy but not overwhelming. Our server was busy but super attentive and friendly. I noticed it was very kid-friendly since there were other kids there and they had a kids menu. Their menu was vast menu and I wanted to try so many food items. I started off with a hibiscus margarita; oh my, one of the best I've had, it was a 5/5. We also had the asian calamari; it's fried battered squid, banana peppers, and a side of sweet chili. This was mouthwatering good and it was a 4/5. I had a cesar half salad which was toothsome; the dressing, parmesan, croutons, and salad ratio was perfection. My main entree, I had the prosciutto wrapped cod; that is baked cod, wrapped with prosciutto, served over parmesan risotto and broccoli with lemon butter. The showstopper was the parmesan risotto, I could eat a gallon of that lol. The cod was okay, it needed more flavor but the prosciutto definitely helped with the flavor. Overall the cod fish was 3.5/5. Next time, I want to try their Thai sesame salmon, apricot shrimp risotto, pulled pork Mac and cheese, Bolognese, crab rangoon dip, and firecracker shrimp, to name a few. I was so torn but I chose a bit of a healthier option due to my New Year resolution. I loved that they had the total calories next to the menu items. My family and I look forward to going back soon!

I felt bad for the waitress as she tried hard to make our lunch experience pleasant (although I will say she and the rest of the waitstaff disappeared frequently even though the place was virtually empty), but my mother had something green and gross in her glass of water and then was served a salad with wilted lettuce, and I ordered a burger that took quite a surprisingly long time to make and it came out missing some toppings. It's possible the Italian place across the way is a better place to go, but I wouldn't come here again.
