This place is doing it right. The ambiance is just what you should expect from a busy Long Island deli. A huge showcase filled with salads, bagels, specialty cream cheeses, pastries, cookies, etc, a small dining area, the exterior walls lined with stocked refrigerators, and of course, a line literally out the door and onto the sidewalk. The lined moved pretty quickly, and it's obvious that these people know what they're doing. I could not even count the amount of staff they had running around in the back, but everyone was moving swiftly, and with a purpose. We ordered 10... yes 10... bacon, egg (over medium, for just the right amount of yolkiness) American cheese, S&P on a poppy seed roll. While I was waiting, I got a chance to chat with the owner, who was running the register. What a great dude! Anyway, the BEC's were fantastic! Just as they should be! I bought cream cheese from here, upon getting home both my husband and I had the same individual experience the cream cheese tasted sour, they had the wrong packaging date on it so that leads me to believe they didn't even realize it was.. that's not the point, upon letting them know they accused us of lying that it was rotten. Then the short older Caucasian bald gentlemen with a nub on the index finger proceeded to make a very inappropriate comment that we had put coke in the cc ? It was very insulting and a micro aggression considering my husband is a person of color. Needless to say I think we minorities need to be especially careful in what businesses we choose to patronize, not ones in which have a racial bias with no basis nor treat their customers with respect or dignity ! One of the more decent bagel spots in the area. This might be an unpopular opinion, but Suffolk County has a tough time when it comes to good bagels. The bagels here are comparable to Nassau and one of two spot we grab bagels from when in the area. This time we were in the need of lunch so we grabbed sandwiches. The Dagwood wad one of the most really well done sandwich that I've had in a while. Think of an American hero, add salami and Swiss cheese and throw it on a hero (I like mine with mayo, lettuce, tomatoes and onions). What really would have knocked this sandwich out of the park is if the bread was a tad better. Ordered with our sandwiches were deli iced teas, and two cookies stuffed with a Reese's Peanut Butter cup (genius). The iced teas were a little too sweet. Sometimes when we come here the service is a little meh. This time, however, I was quickly in and out of there and the guy that help me was actually quite pleasant and made everything really good. I didn't realize that our sandwiches came with a pickle and a side salad but those were packed with our sandwiches which was a nice surprise. Cafe is in the title of the name of this spot, so it's no surprise there is a decent amount of tables for dining in. Not a bad pit stop if needed right of the expressway. read more

You can't even call in an order, when you do call, it prompts you to a website to place your order when they can pick up the phone and take your order like all normal deli's. Very inconvenient. Lately they are going downhill, not sure if it's the new people who don't know what they are doing but we went yesterday and asked for two different items, one a bagel with cream cheese and another was a chicken cutlet sandwich, they combined the two and put cream cheese with the cutlets. Almost 2 years later and absolutely nothing has changed at this place. Thought i would give them a second chance. Called in an order for Western Omelette with cheese extra bacon and sausage. Also a Bacon egg and Swiss cheese sandwich on a toasted Onion roll. Simple huh well that's what i thought. Order picked up paid a ransom of $20.78 cents. Opened up the food and in the bag was a Western Omelette ( no cheese ) 2 slices of bacon and (1) sausage patty. The sandwich consisted of 2 slices of bacon , eggs , (1) slice of Swiss on a old Everything roll. Called up and after telling my story to 4 incompetent people i guess i ended up with the decision maker. I was told that i was given an Everything roll because they didn't have any more onion bagels ( i guees they reserve the right to decide what they want to give me). I was told there standard bacon order is 2 slices ( seriously the entire world know the unwritten rule is 3 slices ) Then i get charged $1.77 3 times so for 2 slices of bacon and a frozen fake sausage patty and the mysteriously missing 2 slices of bacon oh and lets no forget the missing cheese .88 cents. That's a grand total of $6.99 cents. Any way the morale of the story is they agreed to give me the $1.77 for the missing bacon the next time i come in. THE NEXT TIME I COME IN WILL BE NEVER. So i guess i just lost my $1.77. I come from Williamsburg Brooklyn where you could get a real Bagel on either side of the Bridge. Not this watered down faded out imitation Bagel spot. On top of it they have absolutely no customer skills. Zero personality. The bald head guy at the register acts ass if he is doing you a favor. Seriously thinking of filing a complaint with Consumer affairs as well as the Health Department. Note* To the older guy with the Mustache. This past Sunday was my first time here, and I went for bagels (my way, right?) on the go. This was a toughie as I'm pretty torn between three and four stars, so 3.5 does the trick pretty well, so consider it boosted due to location. Let me explain. There was a lot to like about Bagels Your Way Cafe. For a storefront in the middle of a strip mall, it has a pretty casually quaint, personality to it. The seating area is a nice touch if you'd like to grab your grub and sit for a bit. I came in to order bagels for myself, my girlfriend, and her sisters. Though once inside, I had that egg-sandwich-itch and after ordering theirs, I went for an everything bagel with bacon and egg. The friendly (and funny) staff member then asked the quintessential LI deli question I love to hear: "Salt, pepper, ketchup?" It just works so well on a sandwich most mornings. A few minutes later, the bagels and my sammy were ready. Once back at my girlfriend's house, I dove into the sandwich, which honestly looked and felt a little small (and didn't entirely match up to price). As a born and raised Long Islander, I was a little surprised at that, but then again it's still about the taste. Though, once I began to sink my teeth into the bagel, egg, and bacon, I found the bagel to definitely taste like a good ol' Long Island bagel, but nothing that stood out to many others I've tried in my lifetime. The egg was decent in taste and bacon sufficient in flavor to create a sandwich that did well in curbing that egg sandwich bug, but fell a little short to LI expectations. Remember though as I mentioned location earlier on as this spot is quite close to my girlfriend's abode, making it a reasonable morning meal in close proximity to her. Overall, though it falls short to many other bagel and breakfast places on the isle via taste, it puts together good ambiance and friendly service. They lost a customer today. I work in Medford every Thursday and go there religiously for lunch. Food is good but what stands out is the amazing staff. Always courteous, always friendly. The food isn't cheap however. I bought a sandwich and a Kevita kombucha drink today. The drink was $4.99 +tx. Same drink is $3.19 at Target mind you, already marked up for retail. I've had kombucha tea beverages before but this was disgusting. No 'raspberry lemon' was taste able, was like carbonated vinegar so I took it back. Not only was the manager (owner?) aggravated but he also felt the need to keep talking about me as I was leaving the store. Very unprofessional. If I could give them no stars I would, the people at the front (besides Chris and the lady behind register) are nasty people with terrible customer service. This hasn't been the first time I've had bad experience with this place. For starters they never answer the phone, my food was incorrect they wanted to blame it on being busy but there were only about 5 customers inside at the time of placing my order and they can check the camera and see. Not only did they not want to take accountability for THEIR mistake they had the audacity to blame it on me saying I took the wrong order as if the lady didn't hand me my food again watch it on the camera. And the manager Joey is a piece of work. Claims to be "understanding" of the situation but constantly said "most people wouldn't make a big deal over a sandwich." As if my time wasn't wasted either or my gas. I grabbed the sandwich on my way to work. If they picked up the phone the many times I've called it would have saved me the trip from work to get my order fixed. Claimed wanted to "make it right" but spoke to me in a condescending tone, justified his untrained teams nasty remarks to me.
