I dont want to sit here and say the deli is terrible as a whole because 7/10 times i go it's delicious but on the other hand theres a young girl with glasses and bangs that consistently messes my orders up. Just this morning my sandwich was messed up 3 times and after the 3rd time i was expected to pay, this time was the cherry on top there has been multiple other instances (me and my workers take lunch here 3x a week) when the girl messed it up because i guess she dosnt know what shes doing. Awful. First of all, our food was cold by the time we got it. I told them I was placing a delivery with door dash, they told me over the phone that coffee comes with an egg sandwich but when I got my delivery both our coffees were not in there and when we called back they said oh if you don't come down in person, it doesn't come with a coffee. What is the difference I'm still placing the same order whether I'm in person or through an app. The owner BRIAN was an absolute dick. So rude and unprofessional. I've had multiple bad experiences here from the teenager workers. Uncooked bacon and home fries, bad service, idiotic statements such as "Do you need a plate?" even though I've already told them I was dining in. As if I'm going to eat my bagel on the table. Never Again! I went in for a couple of bagels and a cup of coffee yesterday morning. The person who took my order behind the counter opted to wear her face mask as chin guard, a young man working behind the counter didn't have one at all. Then an arrogant mask-less young man came in, ordered, sat down, drank a red bull and no one said a word. No mask? No service? Wrong. They took his order. As I waited, for far too long, as every man in the bagel store was attended to, and they made me wait, I couldn't take it anymore. I asked why they were working behind the counter without masks and serving customers without masks. The customer said, "I don't have one", not that I asked. I should have walked out, but my order was now ready and I had already paid. Insult to injury... I asked for a LIGHTLY buttered bagel... they put it on about a half inch thick. This is a decent local (Brookhaven, Mt sinai) bagel shop and sligthly better than nearby Strathmore B imho. My everything bagel was hot, fresh, and tasted very good. The cream cheese was good. I thought the service could be a bit more attentive as one of the counter girls was bs ing with a customer as I stood behind ignored to get another sliced bagel. Other reviewers have also had issues here and there with the counter service. But the place makes up for it with a good local bagel. I shall return due to location and quality. read more

I've come here many times , and at this point, I give up. Every time I walk in I pray that the person in front of me doesn't order an egg sandwich, because I'll be waiting ten minutes to get a bagel. The bagels are fine quality wise. The service is horrible. Very slow. My last check-in was the final straw. I looked in the window and saw one customer at the counter, so I figured it was safe to buy a few bagels for my family. Wrong. Nothing like a small bagel that packs taste and just enough for your CC or butter. Thats what you get at Bagels Your Way in Mount Sinai. There bagels are always fresh. They claim that they make the bagels, but i have my doubts. You really can't see where there would be ovens as it all hidden. But whatever..Every morning when i go there I get a great smile from the young and and older ladies who work there. They are always nice and love to talk. Great sitting area to eat in. There cream cheese is perfect. And they are the only bagel place that i've been to that serves cold butter with my bagel. I totally love this place. I stopped eating at bagel shops after visiting here. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese and paid for it. The woman took my cash and proceeded to make my bagel with the same gloves on. To top it off I saw her tuck her hair behing her ear and rub the area under her nose, with that same gloved hand. She continued making my bagel with that glove on. She put it in a bag and handed it too me, I had already paid. I said keep it and bounced it down on the counter. Yes, I was mad. I said something about how the gloves aren't there to protect you and what she did was disgusting. She then ran her fingers through her hair and made a sarcastic remark. This bagel shop will be forever in my mind. I was born in Long Island but my family moved to Pennsylvania in 1989 when I was 7. Bagels your way was a must whenever we returned to visit family. Where I live the only bagel shop is the local Dunkin Donuts and don't get me wrong they make a good bagel but nothing like bagels your way. What I wouldn't do for a salt bagel... they don't even make them here. When I took my husband to Long Island for the first time I warned him that if he ate a bagel from there he would never be satisfied with one from anywhere else ever again.
