I went in recently specifically on a Friday cuz of their "bogo " deal and this week was the club sandwich which I love . So I got two whole sandwiches for the price of one! I ate one there cuz I was hungry and enjoyed the ambiance. I was well after the lunch rush which was nice . The staff was friendly and helpful and the inside was clean and pleasant. Delish sandwich fresh and the other one held up well when I ate it a bit later. The bogo sandwich does change weekly but is easily found online. I'll definitely keep an eye on that ! read more

I stopped in on a weekday late afternoon to grab some food to go and ordered the Unforgettable sandwich with pickles on the side (for 35cents extra) and a limoncello Bundt cake. The cake was delicious and well worth the money but for a $15 sandwich, I was expecting a lot more. The pickles I got were not deli quality, just average crinkle cut dill. The only thing unforgettable about the sandwich was the price. Unfortunately I didn't get a pic as I scarfed it down on a plane but it was just average in size. Most delis you can get a much larger sandwich for $15. The service was excellent and I even got two free cookies (which were very tasty) so I'm giving three stars for the extra friendly service. read more

I was doing some equipment inspections and asked for some recommendations for a place lace to eat (out of town) the guys at the shop said this was the place. Walked in greeted by a nice young lady(training) with a big smile. Manager offered some suggestions and I had the Afternooner. Fresh is not a good enough word. Real nice clean tasting meats and cheeses, soft bread toasted in the grill a cold veggies on top. Nice garlic aioli to finish it off. We stopped in for lunch - we were in town and hadn't been here. The menu in the restaurant is in an odd place which causes congregation by the line of people waiting to order and then there is nothing to look at when actually ordering. Aside from that - they were great. We ordered for 5 as a take out order. We tried the Asian Chicken Salad - it was a nice size and very flavorful - make sure to get the peanut dressing - it makes the salad perfect. We also had Club Sandwiches - they were both flavorful and abundant! These are some big Clubs! We also tried the roast beef but as a lettuce wrap instead of a sandwich. It also was generous. The flavor was great with the blend of horseradish mayo and cream cheese mixed in. I also ordered coleslaw - not the best I've had but definitely in the top third I've had. Each order came with a cookie, which was also a nice little touch and the cookies were tasty. The food didn't take too long for them to prepare and when we got it to our lodging it was all accurate, not sloppy or thrown together, and had adequate napkins and utensils. Tucson, Arizona Holy cow! Those were my first thoughts when I saw the prices on the menu board. All you get is a sandwich for $14-$16. Everything else cost extra. It's a lot of money for a lunch that is a walk up order yourself deli sandwich restaurant. The restaurant is clean with many tables. The drinks are served behind the counter, so there is no walk up area to refill your drinks. I ordered the sundown turkey sandwich. It is an 8 inch sandwich that has turkey stuffing, cranberries, mayonnaise. At 11:30 AM they had no iced tea yet made. So I chose to have water. They holler out your name when your food is ready. Then they bring it to your table. My first thought of the food it was that the bread is delicious. It is very soft and has great flavor. The sandwich came with turkey, cranberries, lettuce, and mayonnaise and stuffing. I thought it was a good sandwich overall but I think it is overpriced. There are too many sandwich shops in town that are accompanied with sides for the price that I am paying for this. You do get a miniature chocolate chip cookie with your sandwich. The food here is consistently good, and I really appreciate how easy it is to order online--super convenient when you're on the go. That said, prices have definitely gone up over the years; lunch now runs about $20, which feels a bit steep. One thing that continues to concern me, though, is the handling of garnishes. I've noticed multiple times that staff add cheese or vegetables to soups without wearing gloves, and this happens right at the front counter where everyone can see. My sandwich was great. I had a Baggin Club. It was busy at lunch time so it took a bit longer than expected to get my sandwich. But it was worth the wait. Friendly service which I appreciate. Service here in Arizona seems friendlier than in my state. They bring your order out to you. If you want a refill for your drink just go back to the counter and ask. Plenty of seats and good lighting. I'll certainly stop by here again next time I'm in Tucson. read more

I have been visiting Baggins in Tucson for about two decades and always ordered the same Sundown sandwich. I had bragged about Baggins to my sister. She came to visit from Gilbert, AZ and we looked forward to our lunch together at the Fort Lowell/Campbell location. I spent $36.40 for two sandwiches and a soup. The Sundown sandwich was oddly cold. Not a cold sandwich as opposed to one heated but extremely cold bread to the touch with hard cold bread. It appeared to have been made the day before and kept in a refrigerator. Clearly it was not fresh. The meat, lettuce and small line of cranberry were coldly stacked together with no observable mayo and dry stuffing. When the coldness began to become room temperature, the bread became somewhat soggy. I told the woman with dark hair who appeared to be the manager for the day who said the sandwich was suppose to be cold. She did not indicate the wanted to see what I was talking about about, just repeated her line. I did not ask for a refund or new sandwich. An old refrigerated sandwich is much different from a freshly made one. I wanted my sister to enjoy herself so I quietly wrapped up my half of the sandwich and threw it in the garbage. She took the rest home. A very nice employee came to our table and offered me a new sandwich and brought us a few extra cookies. He is a keeper. Nicest guy. If that young woman was the manager, she appeared to enjoy a nice Baggins lunch. She was sitting at a table stuffing her face as we left. The unforgettable sandwich I had here was very satisfying after a long week of working in the dessert sun. It's loaded with Turkey, the cream cheese is a great addition and the star, in my opinion, is the squaw bread they use. It takes the sandwich to the next level because it's soft and sweet. I wish they had Baggins where I lived because I'd love to come back and try some of the deli sides and certainly more of their bakery sweets since the chocolate chip cookie that came with my sandwich was so delicious! The staff was friendly and having a great time as well which gave the whole place a good vibe. I'm surprised it was so dead inside when I went in at 4 pm but maybe I beat the dinner rush? I have even gone to the one in Vail, and every time I go to any of them the customer service is amazing, the atmosphere is always nice and clean, and they have such a great selection of fresh sandwiches! Had a grilled beef sandwich and I can say it was really good. I would add more peppers in it. I don't eat lot of meat but I can always take some out. The bun was soft and just right. The ordering system is very easy and comprehensive enough that you can tailor your meal however you like. All the times I've ordered delivery have been pretty good. The sandwiches, which are a bit on the pricier side, are fresh and tasty. I don't think any of us have been disappointed in the quality or quantity. Of note, it's best to choose a delivery time that is at least 15 minutes earlier than when you actually need it - that way your food shows up right before you hit that hangry mark. I had Baggin's during a business trip because it was highly recommended by one of my colleagues in Tucson. The restaurant had an interesting Tiki vibe! For lunch, I ordered the gourmet halves with half a cheesesteak and half a gourmet garden salad. The sandwich looked a little sad with bits and pieces of shriveled and dried beef. The cheese was also not melted all the way. Vegetables in the salad were fresh and crunchy, and really made the meal more enjoyable. Even though it feels like you're walking into a commercial building such as Office Depot, it's actually a descent sandwich spot. I ordered the Baggins Club and it was massive but very good. A little too many onions for my liking but nothing that ruined my lunch. Since it was our first time, we didn't know they came with cookies as well. This was a nice touch and a great way to finish the lunch. This place obviously does a lot of catering and there was no hiding that. All of their shirts promote catering and those guests clearly take priority. They were getting ready to make a catering run and they fill all of their boxes in the main dining area, which was strange and annoying. They were taking up 4 tables with all of their catering supplies and packing everything right there. They didn't seem to care that they were taking up so much room and making a mess all over. This seems like something that should be done in the back of the house. The overall service seemed forced on the employees rather than genuine. The wait for my sandwich was about 10minutes which seems pretty long for a basic club. This goes back to catering being their priority.
