Fantastic place for the young as well as the young at heart! An obstacle and zip line course amongst tall trees designed to challenge the fittest as well as the not-so-fit! The staff are really friendly and very knowledgeable. They will help you get kitted up and are there to help anytime you are stuck in an obstacle. We had three young kids and they were so nice and patient with them. We took the whole three hours and some of us did all the courses from yellow (easiest) to black (hardest). If you are moderately active, you can easily handle the yellow, green 1/2 whereas blue 1/2 and black are slightly more technical and challenging. The jump down from 50 feet at the end of black was probably my highlight. Although a bit of a drive, I highly recommend Trinity Forest Adventure Park.

Loved this place! Not close to the city center but worth the drive and the greenery is amazing. We were scheduled to come at 12p. I was suppose to pick the previous night for 10a but fell asleep. When I thought it through I figured it be more hot around that time. Anyways we arrived at 10a I asked if they could accommodate my son. They were able too. The teach an instructional class before letting you up. Then once you train you are on your own. Which I thought was really cool. I wanted my son to use this experience as an confidence building and I fell like it helped. After his first course he didn't want to stopped. I also liked the amount of kids here. The instructors were very attentive and helpful. Nice ice cold water available and small snacks. Would recommend

This was a bucket list item for me and I am so glad I went. My daughter and I had an amazing time. The staff were so friendly and helpful and they train you on the ground so you are truly prepared once you are up in the trees. I did the yellow level, and green #1. It was a full workout for sure. :) But I will definitely be back!!! Thank you guys for helping me do something I had dreamt of for so long.

If you love fun and adventure, and love feeling like you've really gotten away from the city (while still in the city) this is the place to be! The numerous levels makes it friendly to people of all ages and those who are up for challenge and even those who are not! We loved every ounce of our experience. I honestly don't think I could say I have been anywhere where I have had a PERFECT experience from the second I walk up to the second I leave until coming here. The staff are beyond kind, helpful, and passionate about what they do for sure! 110/10 recommend! We will definitely be getting a season pass.

Staff was really friendly! We went during the week so it wasn't busy. The course is do it yourself but they did provide helpful tips along the way! You will have a couple of difficulties if you are short. I am 5' 2" and struggled on some of the obstacles. It was definitely doable though! There are a lot of trees so there is plenty of shade. Bring your own water as they have water for sale but no refill stations!

I am an athlete and offer you should not go if you are not physically capable. Injured? Don't go. Also, if you are a group or have children, let others pass you as you will slow them down. Staff are not on the course. Do not expect them to come help you. Be self sufficient. Set reasonable expectations for yourself. And don't worry about what other people think. Hydrate. This is physical exercise. And have fun! This is fun! Be free with yourself and your companions. Laugh! Connect with nature. Enjoy challenging yourself. Try something new. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Staff are inconsistent and so is the upkeep. For example on today's visit one of the ropes was broken but I was allowed to use the obstacle anyway. That seemed very unsafe to me. The locks are malfunctioning etc. But overall we enjoy coming out and will continue to do so.

The weather outside is a gorgeous, sunny, breezy 65 degrees. You don't mind spending $13 per person to balance on tightropes 5 stories up in the air. Now is the perfect time to conquer Howler's Peak. Our group of 3 went out around 2pm on a fall weekday when most kids are in school, so we had no wait at all. The staff quickly helped us get harnessed up, then we were attached to the safety track snaking throughout the course and set free to roam at will. From the ground, it doesn't seem too tough. You can see that many of the paths look like sturdy wooden-looking ladders on their sides, with plenty of stable foot landings and hand-holds for your crossing. However, once you climb up the stairs to each level, you realize that many paths you must cross are only rope, or with large breaks between tiny foot holds, and few or no handholds. The wind feels stronger up there, balancing takes more effort, and everything seems to sway a bit. Even though you know that there is no way the safety harness can let you fall, it is quite a feat to overcome your brain's message to your body, "Hey, dummy, you're about to plummet to your death!" After going around the 2nd and 3rd stories, including 2 thrilling zip line paths, my 8 year old had had enough. He was ready to get his feet back down on the ground, but I knew it was my duty to continue on. I had to show him (and myself) that even though I was nervous, I was not going to quit until I reached the top. From 30 feet to 40 feet to 50 feet I climbed, as a crisscrossed my way around the course. My goal was the top southwest corner of the structure, where I'd jump down to the ground. I've never been interested in bungee jumping elsewhere, as I question the safety & maintenance of the equipment & training of the staff at most of those tourist trap, beach town places. However, the staff & equipment at this attraction made me feel that risk was minimal. Once I made it to the prep station, my harness was transferred to the pulley system and throrough safety check was done. At that point, I just had to make my legs walk off the end of the platform. Wheeeeeeeeee! I'm probably not going to start base jumping any time soon, but man, that was fun. I'll definitely be coming back to do this again the next time I'm visiting Great Wolf. By the way, even if you aren't a guest of the hotel, you can experience Howler's Peak for $25. Closed-toe shoes are required, and I recommend that long hair be secured and sunglasses worn if it's daytime. For little kids under 48 inches, there is a smaller version of the course on the ground, with a smaller fee and no harness required.

The accommodations were perfect for our group of 60 but we did have to get hotel accommodations for our Married couples that were not able to stay at the campsite with their kids. The facilities were clean and for a small retreat site had lots to offer. They had Archery, BB Guns, Canoeing, Rock Climbing and Zipline. They have a really awesome lake that you can swim in as well. The Worship Center was really awesome and had rooms for different sessions on the second floor. They had a brand new A/V system and everything was set up for us when we got there. The staff was again the best I have ever seen because they set up a campfire, joined in the singing then took us on a hay ride. We also had a impromptu dance night at the outdoor dance floor and they taught our young kids some line dancing and the dance from Footloose. Our group definitely will be using the retreat site again because of the location, staff and accommodations.

The day before our scheduled tour, after my friends had already paid and made plans, we were informed that our pickup and drop-off location had changed. That alone was frustrating and unprofessional because it created unnecessary inconvenience for a birthday event that had already been planned and paid for. On the day of the tour, we were picked up in a Sprinter van that had no working air conditioning, had an unpleasant smell, and appeared to have mechanical concerns. We also noticed that the engine light was on. What made this even more concerning was that we were told the pickup/drop-off location had changed because the other Sprinter van had mechanical issues. After we left the first winery, we noticed that the warning light appeared to have been covered with black electrical tape. That was extremely concerning and made us feel uncomfortable about the safety and professionalism of the transportation. The tour itself was also not what was advertised or expected. We were supposed to visit three wineries, but we only visited two. There was no real tour guide experience. The driver stated that he would be both the driver and the tour guide, but he barely said anything the entire time. When I asked him about the air conditioning, his response was, "This is as good as it gets." That was shocking and unacceptable, especially considering the cost of the tour and the fact that this was supposed to be a special celebration. The second winery, Pemberton Winery, was a terrible experience. The wine tasted spoiled, sour, and unpleasant, almost like apple cider vinegar. Several people in our group were concerned about the quality and safety of what we were being served. The person presenting the wine also lacked warmth, personality, and hospitality, which made the experience even worse. At the very least, if the wine was not enjoyable, the customer service should have made up for it, but it did not. The food was also disappointing. The Italian meal did not taste like authentic Italian food. I ordered the white fish, and it was not good at all. The salad was good, the drinks were fine, and the gluten-free bread was good, but overall the meal did not meet expectations. Honestly, I would have preferred barbecue served on the winery lawn over the meal we received. This tour did not feel classy, organized, or professional. There were no souvenir glasses, no engaging tour guide, no real hospitality, and no attempt to make the experience special. It felt like we were treated as though we had paid very little for the tour, when in reality this was a paid birthday celebration with a group of people who expected a quality experience. What makes this even more disappointing is that Texas Wino Tour never offered a discount, a partial refund, or any meaningful apology for the poor experience. Many people on the tour were complaining, and the entire experience felt disorganized and unprofessional. I was embarrassed because I had hyped this tour up to my friends for my birthday, and it did not come close to meeting expectations. My group handled the situation with class and poise, but this experience was unacceptable. Based on this tour, I would strongly recommend that anyone booking with Texas Wino Tour ask in advance about the exact wineries, transportation, air conditioning, tour guide, food, and what is actually included. Also, I would personally avoid Pemberton Winery based on our experience. This was not the birthday wine tour experience I expected, and I am extremely disappointed.
