I really like this place. I have now gone three times and aside from portion sizes, I have no complaints. And it really depends on what you get. Tacos or rice bowl...both seasoned to perfection, very flavorful dishes, but not filling. Sandwiches & burgers, however, will leave you satisfied. The service is always wonderful. Multiple people on the staff (including chefs) come by to make sure everything is great. Aside from wanting to ask for a second serving, it is always great. Chicken tortilla soup: Best ever. I'm a lime fanatic. The broth has a lime kick to it. The soup is very flavorful. Tender chicken. And chunks of avocado. Mmm. Black Bean BBQ Burger: Very filling. Very well seasoned. I asked for a side of BBQ sauce because I'm a sauce fanatic and I found that really added to it. They're generous with the guacamole they give you. read more

Love their black bean soup! Don't get the bowl unless you make it your meal because it is very filling. I had the mahi-mahi fish tacos and they were great! I recently spent time in Nassau and can't say much on the menu reminds me of the Bahamas, except for the conch fritters. Conch seems to be the primary source of protein in the Bahamas and the menus were 70% conch items. It was like Forrest Gump and Bubba discussing different ways to cook shrimp! Good restaurant, good food, drinks were good. We will be back. read more

The biggest gripe about Bahama Breeze is the looooong wait. Diners don't understand Why? when they see empty tables. I've been in the restaurant business, & the reason is to let the kitchen catch up. I haven't seen this kitchen, but the obvious solution is to hire more chefs / add equipment / redesign the kitchen. Which may not be possible. I have left more times than I've stayed. I'm not a "waiter." Diners with lots of leisure time keep returning because they like the food / drink / atmosphere. Comfortable tropical decor, open & airy. There's usually an extra-long wait for the popular Patio seating. Food is Caribbean style, very good, but I found the seasoning to be mild. Many Diners rely on the ever-popular Coconut Shrimp & don't explore the menu. They really should. I've not had a dish I didn't enjoy. Staff was friendly & helpful this visit. The other frequent complaint is slow Service. Again, the kitchen may be slammed, but more likely Servers are assigned too many tables too far apart. read more

Also love going here. The wife and I always try something new and just fall more in love with the food.

The Bahama Breeze restaurant consistently delivers 5 star results with food and service. Numerous Caribbean inspired main dishes but my favorite is the jerk chicken pasta. Key lime pie is AMAZING! Also had the coconut and firecracker shrimp for appetizers. Scrumptious. Manager was very friendly and helpful. Staff makes you feel welcome. A must stop whenever in Memphis and a delicious alternative to that wonderful Memphis BBQ. read more

Excellent happy hour pricing and food Really great environment. It was my first time there and I enjoyed it. Will go again

Nice atmosphère. I ordered the Coconut shrimp meal. It wasn't bad I didn't like it though because it was a crunchy tough coconutty time. But that's a personal problem. Didn't think this order through. I don't even like coconut why did I order this? Yeah but it's a good place. The Chef Special (stuffed crab shells was amaze balls though read more

HH yumminess. Best in town. We love the skillet-simmered jerk shrimp, shrimp & lobster quesadillas, fish tacos, and well priced beer. Live music on Friday nights. Tempted with Jibaritos and Paella. Bahama Breeze - kids mac n cheese with a side of fries - Bars Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

Got two orders of jerk chicken pasta, which used to be our favorite, and had three small practically shaved pieces of chicken in each portion vs. 3-4 times more in the past for the $ that we ordered a couple times a month. This has happened the past two times we ordered takeout from here and VERY disappointing!!!! Hope it gets better, but has gone downhill quickly since I worked there for a brief period many years ago. read more

I received a gift card for Bahama Breeze for my birthday. I decided to sit outside and hear the love music. The singer was very good. His voice was soothing. The atmosphere was very nice. I ordered the buttermilk chicken and a side Caesar salad. The caesar dressing has a slight sweet taste to it but I enjoyed it. The chicken was lightly fried and seasoned very well. There were two pieces on top of mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and melted cheese. There was a light cream sauce and corn salsa and black beans. It was very good. The bartender suggested it because I never would have ordered it otherwise. The food was good and so was the atmosphere. It was a great experience! read more

Obsessed with the grilled chicken with cilantro crema dish. It's always fantastic!! This location has always been great.

I give it a 5/5. Loved the overall ambience gives you a Caribbean feel with the music. The wait time was approximately 30 minutes but it was worth the wait. From the cocktails I took the liberty to order the Newly added Rum Runner, it was pretty good, and for appetizers I ordered the goat cheese dip and beef empanadas both were yummy. I'll give more preference to the goat cheese and for the main course the Braised Oxtail, the meat was well cooked and the portion too meant for two,but since I built my appetite it was too good and finally for the dessert I ordered the Rum cake, well made. Thanks to our server Jackie too. read more

My family went to Bahama Breeze in celebration of my dad's birthday. There were live music and the staff were really friendly. I guess they could tell by our somber looks that something wasn't right, so they actually gave all the time in the world until we eventually ordered some drinks. As a family of mainly adults, we ordered what would be the one of the best reasons to come back. Its called the Rum Raider. Its a platter of 8-12 rum shots all of different flavors. Everyone eventually calmed down and relaxed. My youngest sister even ordered a virgin piña colada. Afterwards, we ended ordering the same thing - Jerk Chicken! It is to die for!! This is the best and most favorite experience I've had going there. read more

One of my goto spots. All was good food service and atmosphere ( Jamaican feel with an outside fire pit and live music) Try the meatball appetizer, Jamaican wings ( somewhat of a jerk flavor with a hint of lime) Our order came out piping hot. Poor management! They can't handle the crowd.. They told me I can order when I got there and then said I couldnt..1 hour before closing

April 30 at 6pm at the Germantown Memphis TN location. First time for me at a BB, I am from out of town and were meeting with a group of friends that haven seen since post Covid. I have looked up this establishment and find it's a Darden affiliate. At our first engagement with the hostess stand where there appears to be 5 staff. My sister who made two reservations asked if our party of 10 could sit together as we were willing to wait for the space, understanding that we may not sit at same table but least same area. She were told "no". No explanation just "no". Later, as we waited she went back and asked can we at least sit in the same area...again "no"..."can't promise that". Once her friends began arriving she tried her request again and the short young black man who she was talking with all long told stated "I told you no, you can have the table for six... I'm too busy to keep dealing with this"! now if that's not good for you then you may want to go". Now the first group of 6 were sat. In that area two more tables came available but they refuse to accommodate. I go look for the other group and find them on the other side of the building in area where at least eight tables were unassigned. I asked one of his hostess member if we could move over in this area...the hostess runs over to get the very rude, inconsiderate non accommodating man who brings with him a tall curled mustache man, comes to me and tells me to leave! I couldn't make this story up. Nothing here but a customer requesting accommodation and no threat. Now, before I left I gave this young man a conversation that I relate as a lesson learn about "customer service". I explained his attitude spills over to the entire hostess team and others who sees his unprofessional behavior as acceptable therefore it's okay to act like him. I have never in my time on this earth ever been asked to leave anywhere. I also explained to his young man that more conversation will come from this and his action. The Darden brand is lead by "Being of service is the heart of their business". My first and only visit to BB I would disagree. I am from Chicago and I have never had a restaurant not at least try accommodate a request to seat a group together. I often visit Eddie V's with a group of 6 or more....no problem. Same with Olive Garden. This BB location appears to do what they want to do...I see where some staff is awarded pineapples pins for service. I think is a great way to represent their level of service. But there's a lot more work to do! Btw...I want the refund of the two carnival drinks and order of beef empanadas that I paid for at the bar but was left at the table when abruptly told to leave! I welcome a discussion about this situation because I am certain staff in question would disagree with my narrative. When in fact it's completely factual to the actual events that took place. read more

I have never been to a Bahama Breeze before but I was pleasantly surprised at my first experience. I have low expectations for chain restaurants but I left satisfied. Ordered their coconut shrimp which was really good. I wasn't crazy about their spinach artichoke dip. For my meal, I ordered the Chefs Special Braised beef ribs and oxtail. It didn't look anything like the picture on the menu however, it was very tasty and the meat was tender and juicy. As for the service, everything came out in a timely manner. I'd come back here if I'm in the area. read more

Ii sat at the bar and had the sirloin steak with mash potatoes and broccoli for lunch and was absolutely amazing. Also love the Aruba Red Draft beer. The cook did such a wonderful job. They brought our my fiancés order 10 minutes before mine by 10 minutes, so the food was cold when we finally got to start eating together. I treated hubby to a Valentine's Day luncheon. The best time to visit-not crowded and it just opened for lunch. Michelle was an excellent waitress, the service and food was great. We had homemade guacamole & chips for an appetizer. Hubby ordered the lobster and Mac and cheese with green beans & I had the Island Hopper which consisted of conch fritters, 4 nice size Jamaican chicken wings, 4 onion rings with plantains, and 4 coconut shrimp. The sauces were equally good-citrus-mustard, jerk BBQ sauce and roasted pineapple chutney. Everything was so good. I just didn't have room for dessert. read more

POORLY MANAGED!! The service was horrible. Despite making reservations, I had to wait over an hour to be seated and over another hour for food.
