Went to Croc's for a Drag Brunch last month. Parking is very limited so get there early. The closest public parking is basically either on the street or at the Convention Center. We had a party of about 15 and we got sat in the middle of the venue at a long table, great seating for the show. The wait staff was very limited and it took nearly mid way into the show to get our drink orders in, then another 20 minutes to get our food orders in. I ordered the french toast and it was horrible. It was basically burnt. The flavor wasn't there anymore and the texture was overly crunchy. read more

Yum! We finally tried this staple. We came in a lazy weekday evening with mild weather and sat out on the patio for a nice dinner. Our server was excellent and took very good care of us. We started with the fattoush salad and the hummus with pita chips and upgrade add cucumbers for $1. Totally worth it. The hummus was very good and cucumbers fresh and crispy. A table nearby recommended everything but we saw a salmon BLT with onion rings and chose to split that. It's a huge sandwich with bacon and a delicious aioli for dipping on the side. The bacon was stellar - the salmon not so much. A bit fishy tasting for my taste. Probably won't try that again. I saw a lot of options on the menu for handhelds, entrees and tons of small plates and appetizers. I want to try their pepper tuna next time! Inside is a bit dark for my taste but they have a large bar area and tons of seating. They were doing a murder mystery dinner while we were there so that was fun to watch. We had such a great time here at Drag yourself to brunch. The food was delicious, the drinks were strong. They had a fun drink menu. It's small and intimate. The Queens were beautiful, funny and talented. And the Dj played some great music. My only complaint is the food took awhile. Our appetizers took as long as the food and our server forgot someone in our party plate. So if you go don't drink the drinks first and have alcohol sitting on your stomach like me. We stopped by Croc's for the famous (or infamous) Drag Brunch. Overall, the hubby and I had a nice time, and it was nice to try something a bit different. This probably was the first drag show that I attended before 6 pm. Random thought: I wonder how early the queens had to wake up to do their hair and makeup. While some drag queens performances were better than others, I thought everyone did a fine job. The hostess of the evening . . . afternoon did a great job keeping the crowd engaged with her humor and leading some audience contest (eg a twerk-off). I have to admit that food was just ok, and really wasn't anything to write home (or Yelp) about. Our spread tasted like was previously prepared and merely warmed up before service. . . kind of like what happens at an airport restaurant. But I guess that you attend this event more for the entertainment than the food. While the food was not out of this world amazing, the drinks sure were delicious. If I ever return, The Botox (gin, St. Elder, and champagne) will be my go-to beverage. Also, Joey was a wonderful bartender. I was really feeling the DJ! He played some really good music. I just felt like the crowd was not lit at all. It seemed kind of hostile and there was a ton of guys just standing and watching in the back. The dance floor was a bit empty and everyone was crammed in by the bar. It's a small venue so it was difficult to move around in once the crowd pours in. The bar also had some kind of weird musky, old smell to it. I know it wasn't the people because I came in early before the crowd came in. The bartenders were good at trying to address everyone and their orders and were fast at making drinks. The drinks were decent too. They weren't too strong but ngl, one or two drinks tasted too sweet like it was just all juice. But overall, they weren't bad, especially when the drink prices are affordable. Overall, I would maybe come back for the DJ. I don't know how much tickets were if you bought before hand, but it was really pricey spending $20 as an entree fee for a place like this. I was excited to come to Crocs with my girls for Drag Me to Brunch! The last time I remember coming to Crocs was in college for the dollar Coronas on Thursdays. Walking inside we expected the music to be loud but my goodness this is not an EDM concert. The DJ needed to turn the bass down. Our table was right next to the speakers so that did not help. By the end of the show, half the people at Crocs were plugging their ears. Bring earplugs people! Our server was not the best. She was overwhelmed and never came to check on us or let us order more drinks after the initial orders. At the end of the show, she told us that she should never have taken our table because it was not a part of her section. Then gave us checks with all the wrong orders split on them but we didn't even go back to ask her to correct these after her comment and figured it out on our own. For brunch, there is a separate brunch menu and it was decent. Nothing special and something to eat during the show. -French Toast Bites: These were mini french toast with syrup on the side. It was just okay to eat nothing crazy. -Bacon Cheese Tots: The tater tots were crunchy and yummy with cheese and bacon. Everything with bacon tastes great! The Drag Show was amazing and that's what everyone is here for! The performers were great and engaging with the crowd. Before the show started, someone came over to trade in our cash for dollar bills, which was helpful! The whole restaurant looks like it has not been renovated and could use a facelift. Took a break from Tidewater Comicon for a quick lunch and saw that Croc's was nearby. I hadn't been here for many years, but I remembered that the food and service were good, so we decided to drop in. It had been so long since my last visits that I forgot about their Sunday Drag Brunch events, so that was a bit unexpected and quite a bit louder than my group was anticipating, but still delightfully fun. A meal and a show! The food was outstanding! We started with the Sausage Balls, which were savory and packed with flavor. The Bacon Cheese Tots were a standout--crispy tots smothered in creamy queso and topped with crispy bacon. My wife had the Crabby Bitch Sandwich and our friend ordered the Classic Eggs Benedict. The Crabby Bitch Sandwich was exceptional, fresh and flavorful. The Classic Eggs Benedict was another success, cooked to perfection. Overall, Croc's delivered a great brunch experience. When it comes to drag brunches...this place is ok. But doesn't really do as much as compared to other drag Brunch places. The place is small and intimate. And the music is really good. The mimosas taste pretty good. Although I wish there was some kind of special. The menu itself is VERY limited. Not many options for the clean pescatarian. Originally ordered the waffles. They were cold and gave eggo vibes. Not good. 2 people in my party ended up sending the waffles back. The French toast appetizer was decent and the crab cake sandwich was also ok. Overall I wouldn't recommend coming for the food. but for a quick last minute birthday brunch and mimosas it's acceptable. Bought salmon for $30 and it was the saltiest thing I've ever eaten and barely enough food to consider a meal.

Went here for the first time tonight with a total table of 6 people. After appetizers and salad, everyone started receiving their meals and as I looked around my order of shrimp and scallops never showed up. The waitress comes to our table and I ask about my entree and she looks at me with a blank stare and says....oh, I forgot about it do you still want it????? Huh??? No I sure don't want it now. I have been wanting to come to the Drag Brunch. Scheduled this a few days before to celebrate a girlfriends birthday. Let me just say I did not know what to expect but my expectations were superseded! Be prepared to laugh hard, drink, and throw money more than eating. It is a not only a show, but a whole experience! Allot about 2-3 hours of your day for this and you will not regret it. Upon arrival they were setting up all the tables so everyone was at the bar getting their drinks. Then they sat us down by our parties. I made reservations on Open Table. The DJ was playing music the whole time and he's playing the latest hits and some throw backs. The waitress was very nice and attentive. Our drinks kept coming upon order. All of our meals and apps were delicious. I am obsessed with their avocado toast without meat only the poached egg on top. YUM! The experience of drag queens dancing and singing was cool. However, the part where the main host who is a drag, talks and jokes with audience and pulls select audience members to play games, perform and take shots on the house. It was so much fun! Make sure you reserve early-because of COVID capacities, reservations go fast! Pros: -Hands down the girls! They're a lot of fun and I liked how they each gave unique performances (holiday, pop, country music, etc.) Bring plenty of cash to tip- they deserve it! -The drinks will get you right! We just left after a New Year's Eve dinner. The food was fine. The kitchen must be a mess! We arrived about 10 minutes before our reserved time and were seated quickly. Our server took drink orders. Soon after, we ordered an app, salad, and entrees. During the wait, our server said 1 time that our app would be right out. 15 minutes later both the app and salad were brought out. Not 5 minutes later, our entrees came out. The kitchen probably forgot about our app and salad as other tables that came in after us had already been served both salads and entrees. Our server also did not space out the items so we didn't have everything on the table at once. I blame BOTH the ktchen and the server fro the problem. Should we have told them to hold the entrees, yes, but we didn't. Our mistake. Not the dining experience we've had at Croc's in the past. It's going to be awhile before we return. read more

We took my brother in laws for their first time and it was a blast! I made the reservations last minute so they only had bar seating. However, when we arrived they let us know they may have a table because someone did not confirm. We ended up being moved to a table near the kitchen shortly after getting our drinks and we were so happy about that. We had a great spot to interact with the queens. The drinks were delicious and the food came out quickly. My only complaint is their limited menu however they were very flexible and allowed me to removed a couple ingredients that I did not care for. My food was yummy! For $35.00, you get 3 meals and a glass of house wine. In addition to the cooking demonstration, they provide you with the recipe for the dishes and outstanding service. The menu: Falafel wrap, lobster and crab mac and cheese, and chicken ala vodka. The chicken ala vodka was probably my favorite dish. Although it was creamy, it wasn't heavy and the flavor of the dish was tasty. In fact, everything was tasty. I am not a pasta or mac n cheese person, but I wanted to eat everything. The falafel was my least favorite because it was too dry even after adding the tahini sauce. It still had good flavor. Service was phenomenal. Our waitress was prompt and always made sure our drinks were filled and our plates were cleared. This is a place where you go for the entertainment, not the food. The restaurant is located in the Virginia Beach Creative District. There was construction going on around on the streets and the parking was terrible. They have a small lot so I had to park across the street. The inside was tight and cramped so it was barely any room to move around. We went for the drag brunch and the girls definitely worked for their money. Their costumes were to die for and they were super fierce! Yaaass!! The food was the disappointment. I got the crab cake with risotto. The cakes taste like they had filler in them and the risotto was like mushy like instant oatmeal. I ate it because I was hungry and I would have to pay for it anyway. The waiter was rude and always in a hurry to leave the table to get to the next table. The drinks were delicious but that did not make up for the food being mediocre. We went here when we came into town to visit one of our kids and her significant other. She had been wanting to try this place out for a while and we were more than happy to take them out. I'm quite glad that we did even though the meal was somewhat mixed. Let me start by saying the service was great, our server was very friendly, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is sort of a mix between a Mediterranean restaurant and a beach restaurant, which makes sense given who they are and where they are! So for that part of the review, very positive! The food was sort of a mixed bag. I'll start with the really good. The Mezze Appetizer was fantastic! It was a cool mix of Mediterranean food that fit all four of us and all of it was quite nice. The shrimp and grits was excellent! I have had a lot of shrimp and grits cooked a lot of different ways in a lot of different places, and I would put this dish right up there in the top spot or so. One of us ordered the chicken à la vodka sauce. It was interesting because it looked right, but the vodka sauce was very spicy sort of along the lines of a Diablo sauce. Good dish, but perhaps misnamed. The shrimp Caesar salad was fine, but my wife ordered the shrimp tacos and they were cold. I would definitely return to this place when we come back down to Virginia Beach. I wish them the best of success! read more

I can't understand why there are low ratings, I loved everything about this place! The food was very good, it was clean, our waitress, Andrea was amazing! There were over 10 of us and she got it done and continued to check in, the drinks were delicious (you must try Bad & Bougie!), the show...when I tell you the Drag show was PHENOMENAL, I MEAN PHENOMENAL!! I came home hoarse!! I had a complete ball!! There was a diverse crowd and we all had fun together, I loved that too! The Divas engaged the crowd! I came here for their "famous" Drag Yourself to Brunch. It was fantastic! Perfect for a girls day, birthday party, bachelorette party, or a time when you want to embarrass your husband! Reservations are a must! Definitely get there about 30 minutes before the show to get your singles and order your drink and food. The servers here are amazing, or at least ours was. Everything was perfect even in such a loud environment with so many large parties. I had the crab cake risotto and it was delicious! So creamy and perfectly seasoned. I will definitely come back just for that meal! The sauce on the side was fantastic as well. This restaurant advertised a lot of farm to table items, which I really enjoy wherever I go. For drinks we all got pineapple mimosas, definitely go for the double. We felt a little wild, so we also ordered a round of shots when the show started. We got the red one, not sure what was in it, but it was delicious. Only $3.00. It was a little pricy, but it was worth it! The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and oh my goodness I didn't even mention the lovely performers! What a BLAST!! Those girls know how to party! Super fun drag brunch! I've been to drag brunch in Richmond and I preferred this one because it was more laid back. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Great drinks and food was decent. Wouldn't say amazing food, but a solid menu. I got the crab cake sandwich (no bacon) and it was full of crab, not much filler, which I like. Plan for a long brunch- I would say from start to finish the performance was 2.5 hours. During my search I found an event listing about the drag brunch at Croc's. I checked out the food/drink menu and it looked great. Coming from South Florida, I had low expectations. Let me tell you that this was one of the best drag brunches I have been to. The host was hysterical and the queens were fabulous. The best part was sitting at the bar and talking to John, one of the owners. I was beyond impressed with the service, knowledge, friendliness and booze selection. We had the tater tot, breakfast bowl, avocadHOE and sausage balls (I'm from KY and they were better than my momma's, and yes, I told her!) If we lived here, this would be our local spot. WOW!! This is by far my absolute favorite restaurant. Don't laugh, but I'm of Italian mix and I'd never had risotto before. We went on my birthday because my dentist office "Advanced Dentistry " recommended them to us. It was a BEAUTIFUL August night, we sat outside just as the sun was setting. We couldn't have picked a better night. The service was assiduously attentive; which I feared might not be,since we were the only customers OUTSIDE. The food was like creative art. Their plates and bowls are top of the line. The chef made beautiful designs with the thick and tasty sauces near the plate/bowl rims. I was very IMPRESSED! Drag show brunch with family. There were 7 of us. It was quite the experience I have to say. Order food and drinks enjoyed the boys in drags, lip syncing and dancing with their most sparkling dresses in heels. Waitress was very attentive and very good at maneuvering around crowded restaurant. Mixed drinks were quite weak and pricy ( not worth the price). Food was pretty good. Few of us had crabcake BLT, cheese burgers. All came with fries with no extra seasoning ( the way I prefer). 4 drag queens were taken turn performing between the tables.
