This place is a gem. Imagine the identity of a family function hosted at a nice restaurant/lounge. That's the feel I get, good food and spirits, fellowship, and good vibes. I'm usually in there on Thursdays for their Happy Hour. $.50 wings and $1 fried shrimp. $5 lemon drops and $5 crushes. Can't beat that. Real chill staff, it's some good people in there running and operating the spot, The place is always jumping so be patient with the service because when they get to you they show out. My wife got the Lobster and Shrimp Linguine Alfredo. Lobster was cooked perfectly, not too tough just the right texture and not over seasoned. Shrimp were juicy. The Alfredo sauce i feel needed a little more flavor but the flavor of the shrimp made up for it on the back end so i wasn't mad at that. Fried shrimp nice and crispy with that old bay finish. Broccolini never fails me always cooked perfectly. And the mashed potatoes are a favorite of mine. I love all their sides but the Mashed Potatoes with oxtail gravy is a cool hack that i unlocked being curious one day. But yeah man! Place is bangin! Myself and a few friends visited this restaurant/lounge on this past Friday and oh my gosh it was so amazing! We were here for a friend's birthday and looking at the menu happy hour was taking place. I believe a friend of ours in the group had reserved this section so once we walked in about a little bit after 7:00 p.m. we were able to sit down without any worry. Party of 20. I believe we also had a dedicated server by the name of Scooter he was amazing and our experience was so awesome. We ordered food and we ordered drinks during happy hour and about 815 830 the DJ was setting up for karaoke and then played music for people to dance and music bingo was coming up. I highly recommend if you have not been here check it out! Everything was 10 out of 10 the food wasn't bad at all the drinks were on point and plenty of parking so if you're in the area check it out if you're into R&B and Hip Hop or just want to grab a bite to eat definitely check it out. Went here around 7 pm on a Thursday to try out their happy hour and I was not disappointed. I loved the decor and atmosphere of the restaurant and the staff were all friendly. Me and my sister ordered the Bang bang shrimp (10/10) and Honey old bay wings (10/10) to share, and for us, it was more than enough for us each to get full. We also tried the Strawberry Long Island and $5 glass of Chardonnay (9/10). I really enjoyed everything I tried and def plan to go back to try the egg rolls and salmon bites. Our brunch group met here for brunch. The atmosphere and vibe is inviting BUT service was awful. I understand being busy but unorganized is another story. I ordered the rib eye with eggs and hash browns. Hash browns never arrived so when it was time for the check I said I never got my potatoes and was told she couldn't take or it off. No potatoes with my meal but she was able to give me a box to go. The steak and eggs were good. The floor was dirty. One of the ladies in the group never received her entree. Came for happy hour and music bingo. Had to get there early because it gets super packed!! Happy hour goes until 9pm which is great. I got the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls and my friend got the fried salmon bites. We ordered cocktails. The waitress brought my friend the wrong drink, but they remade it with no issue. Later my friend ordered a sprite and the waitress brought her a coke, my friend didn't bother to wait for the waitress to come back to correct the order. Overall nice chill spot with good food. This was my first time at the venue. i definitely would try it again. The venue is very stylish with nice ambiance and good music. The food was good and the crab cake was lumped with no filler. The only problem i had with the establishment was the customer service. The waitress was nice however needed more training. It took 10 minutes for someone to come to our table to take our order. Went here after church right when they opened at 11am. Ambiance was great! Played great music. Food was amazing! Presentation was pretty. Large portions. Had the oxtail and grits and my husband had fish and grits. The oxtail meat fell off the bones and it was flavored well! Definitely recommend and worth the $22 price. Would have given 5 stars but took one star off because of service. Waiter sat at a table and we had to get her attention twice to get some service. Overall experience was good! Saturday night!!! We outside!!! Although I didn't get to try the food !!! it was definitely worth the hype!! The customer service was amazing from the time I walked in from the time I left !! The waitress staff was amazing and very knowledgeable about drinks and food options and the decor was so simple yet very nice!!! I came out for a quick birthday meal but ended up getting exactly what I didn't know I needed which was good music provided by VA own DJ Jake of Spade !!! and awesome vibes!! Keep it up Virtue!!! My first time here and it quickly filed up with people . While initially the music was low and appropriate it quickly turned into a party vibe. I expressed to one of the staff I was practically yelling at the person across from me because the music was a bit too loud. She did nothing but laugh and walked away . Me and a few girlfriends wanted to try something new and unfortunately it took 45m for us to get our food. Only to send it back because it was cold . Another waitress expressed they've received feedback about their wait times which is why they opted for the buffet but the options were very slim and limited for $35. Unwelcoming atmosphere at 6 pm-lights barely on. Servers were prompt but didn't know answers about food questions. Food was big and plentiful but the more sophisticated items were over the cooks abilities. Pasta w lobster and shrimp was overcooked and cream sauce had too much cheese. Special snapper - server didn't know w/o asking how it was cooked and didn't get it right so second server had to come back to explain. Then when the server came around to get payments, she didn't know that there was a large group charge of 20% for a tip. The hand-held device used by the server suggested 4-8% tip. I asked why so low but the server didn't know. I added 20% tip and didn't know that the tip collected was doubled!! Very unhappy. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. read more

We visited last week for happy hour and sat at the bar. Alonzo is the bartender. He is an incredible man and great bartender. Virtue is a great place, with Great food. The dynamite shrimp was perfect and the Philly Egg roles were even better. They are a must have. Going back for brunch today with our grown kids. Virtue Bistro is Very clean. Very bright, and simply great people. Btw. They have a Dj every afternoon and evening with a small dance floor. Have not seen one of these in years. We are looking forward to our next visit. Aesthetically pleasing from the decor down to the food. It's a brand new place that recently opened. We chose to sit at a table towards the right of the restaurant upon walking in; and after sitting for 5 minutes it became uncomfortable and ended up moving to a middle table. Funny thing, we saw others who entered after us do the same exact tWe waited 15-20 minutes MAX for our food. The drinks were brought out within 5-7 mins of ordering. The place was empty everyone standing at the bar joking talking and ignoring customers. Not sure why the music was extremely loud the place was empty. I visited this establishment last night (Saturday) for the first and last time. I enjoyed the DJ and the atmosphere. However the food was horrible. I purchased drinks, salmon bites, a crabcake sandwich, and chicken quesadillas. After taking 1 bite of the crab cake sandwich, it tasted sour and old, the quesadillas were greasy and hard. My partner and could not eat it. I explained to the waitress, my concern. She stated that she would not give a full refund, only 50% off. This was absolutely ridiculous. The customer service was horrible. She never offered to replace it, but still charged me. I left hungry and still ended up spending $75.00. With tons of competion in the area this establishment won't last. I will not recommend anyone to visit and waste their money. It was such a major disappointment read more

I had the oxtail and grits and it was very flavorful, and a nice portion for the price. I took away a star because the music was just too loud! The meal was good but the grits were so watery, but I took my leftovers home and just cooked thicker grits. And lastly the service, the wait staff definitely needs training, once that is taken care of I think they will be well deserving of 5 stars read more

I went there for Easter the service was horrible. The food was disgusting. The veal Parmesan was the worst I ever had in my life when I asked the waitress why I was taking so long for my food she goes are you for real for asking our question I said yes and the place was not even busy.
