I went to this location and ordered 2 small ice cones. While waiting I saw that everyone in the restaurant had received their order already, even the people that were behind me in line. At this point the workers were refilling the flavor bottles and did not have customers. I went to tell them that I hadn't received my order. During 15 minutes they prioritized the people in the drive thru instead of my TWO SMALL cones. I waited another 15 mins until they finally called my order. After that, I told them I wanted a refund for my other snow cone because it wasn't done yet. The guy still had the audacity to ask me "can you wait 2 more minutes your order is almost ready." It is ridiculous that I waited 30 mins for 2 SMALL snow cones. On top of that, the tables were sticky and not clean. Absolutely ridiculous. So unfortunate that this is the only bahama bucks location in the Katy area. read more

This was my first time trying Bahama Bucks...always seen signs and Groupons but never knew what it was all about. I ordered the baby Strawberry Colada with cream...surprisingly it was addicting! I didn't think I would finish the whole cup, but I almost did! It wasn't sweet but not to the point where you're just sick of it. I think they were a little stingy with the cream though. For an extra 50 cents, I expect more than just a small drizzle on top. My husband accidentally ordered a smoothie thinking it was a shaved ice. So for a smoothie and a baby cup, it came out to be almost $10! I think that's a tad expensive for dessert...but now we know. The drive-thru did take a good few minutes...lots of youngens working, so it seemed like they were just standing around talking...oh well, what do you expect I guess. I've been here for 19 minutes in the drive thru. These kids need to get it together. I don't know if they had friends visiting or broke the machine or what. But come on!!!!! I ordered one baby flat top and a small regular. I received both in a small cup both flat tops and was informed that when they do a baby flat top they do it in a bigger cup. That's fine. But my son asks me to come to Bahama Buck's weekly. They have never said that or done that. But I couldn't care less. After waiting for 12 minutes. I have two flat tops and my son wants his regular cone. So I have them fix it. And they bring him a baby. So I have to wait AGAIN. This one is the closest to our house but a great inconvenience. I'll continue going out of my way to the other locations where I won't be the only one having to wait for 19 minute for them to get a simple order wrong twice especially when you had me waiting for 12 minutes before you come to say my order will be right out 4 minutes later. There is not to much that can be said about frozen flavored ice with the exception that Bahama Buck's takes it to a whole different level. I am not sure how they gain the stability in the ice that they do however the net result is a wonderfully, delightfully, flavorful experience. I had the raspberry flavored small ice which was delicious and the portion quite large (for a small). The only detraction for the experience was the seating, not because it was inadequate but because they were so ridiculously busy however quite prompt in their service. Go to Bahama bucks all the time but didn't have the greatest experience with my girlfriend at this location. They didn't have what I wanted which is usually no big deal, so I asked if I could get a vanilla bean frostalatte without the coffee (essentially a vanilla bean shake) and was told it could be done, my girlfriend ordered a strawberry lemonade. Guy at the counter kept looking back and joking with coworkers while we were ordering, they also said they didn't accept a coupon which was given to me at the location by my house and did not have an expiration date. My drink had coffee and the lemonade (which we've gotten plenty of times at our location and it was good) tasted like an old limeade and was undrinkable. Never been to a Bahama bucks before so my kids and I were wanting to sample a few flavors, the guy behind the counter says, "only two samples per customer", which is fine, then he says "only 4 samples total per group", hmmm...I'm not paying good money to get something I might end up not liking, so I told him "I've never been here so I don't want to spend money on a mystery flavor", I got an eye roll and "fine" as a response and another sample. This was our 2nd visit here today and the snow cones are probably our favorite. The Piccadilly is fantastic if you love sour pickles and they seem to always have more than enough syrup. Bahama Bucks is okay and I do love the pink cotton candy flavor they have. BUT I think the prices are a little ridiculous. Also, if you order the regular size or larger, your paying $5 or more to eat a lot of plain shaved ice. Considering the cost of their products, I think they could stop being so stingy with the flavor. They drizzle it on the top so it looks like a tasty and flavor-packed treat, but two bites in and it's solid white plain old ice. So while I do enjoy stopping here for a cool treat on a hot day, I hate that I have to settle for the baby size; otherwise I'm just buying overpriced ice. The line at the drive-thru was pretty long so there was a wait. Thankfully, the guy at the window was very accommodating. I've been to multiple locations and apparently this one has no idea how to distribute the syrup- the worst part? This was their second try after I complained about patches without syrup in he first one. I didn't want to waste my time asking for a third one thought if I dumped it into a bowl when I got home I could stir it up and get rid of the part without syrup... Only to sadly find the whole bottom half didn't have any syrup either and was an ice block. That's really poor customer service considering they can't even fix a mistake when it's pointed out and make the second one worse than the first one!! Tried emailing the franchise with no response. Well, this Bahama bucks is fairly clean and organized,however, I was disappointed to see that the drive thru was extremely slow. One time, the drive thru line extended all the way out to Mason road. Also, the working staff is very untrained. They will either put to much flavored juice on it or not enough. The ice also comes out uneven when it's finished. Very disappointing. read more

When we walked in the whole place smelled like a bathroom, there was a huge spider crawling on the wall, and the girl making sno cones was touching everything with her gloves and then touching the ice on the sno cones with the same gloves. To top it all off, they were understaffed. They only had two girls to work the register, drivethru, and make the sno cones. **disclaimer** I understand this is a new establishment, however I believe there are a few things it could easily improve on. Like the Bahama Bucks on Fry Rd, the restaurant was clean and sanitary, but the praise ends here. As a long loyal customer of Bahama Bucks, I felt it my responsibility to check out the newest addition to the chain as it is a more convenient location when considering the distance I had to travel to get to the Bucks on Fry Rd. I was disappointed upon checkout to find that the staff was not fully trained as my cashier did not recognize or seem to have any idea about what a punch card was (Bucks own sort of reward card), nor did he know how to fully operate the register. Perhaps I'm being picky, but I was at checkout for five minutes for one snowcone--c'mon! Following the punch card faux pas, I received my Dreamsicle snowcone in record time! However, I was extremely disappointed to find that it was **at least** 60% snow. The workers at the Bahama Bucks on Fry Rd have a way of getting the delicious flavoring on and inside every square millimeter of the snowcone that I strongly recommend they teach to the members of staff at Mason Rd. I understand the staff is new, but hopefully six months from now they will have it down pat like my friends on Fry Road. **I recently revisited and gave it another shot only to receive a cup of snow with little actual flavor.** read more
