Never have a problem with this location. Yes, maybe a little slow but who cares. Never bothered me. Yes teenagers work here. Do you expect a 35 yr old man to be building a career here working his way up the corporate ladder. They are teenagers and have about a 5 yr olds attention span. Get over it. My kids and I love this place! We love that we can try the flavors before we buy and that we can get a mix of different flavors. They also make sure that your flavors go all the way through. While the sno-cones are good, it's too pricey for shaved ice, the wait is ridiculously slow, i'm allergic to bees that were hanging around the place and the last time I was there, I didn't get a spoon. How are you supposed to eat a sno-cone without a spoon? I didn't notice this until I was already down the road. It was melting everywhere and making a mess in my car so I ended up throwing it out. I went to Bahama Buck's with my friends and the service was horrible. We waited in line for 20 minutes with only 3 people in front of us. We waited for our drinks which took another 25 minutes. The family behind us got their drinks first even though we just got lemonade and they got snow cones. I got an iced strawberry lemonade, which was good for the FIVE sips it took me to finish it. The drink was filled to the top with ice and had barely any lemonade in it. Bahama Buck's will not be getting any more of my money because I paid 4 dollars to waste part of my afternoon. read more

Drive through takes forever. It took over an hour to get two snow cones. There were a lot of high school kids running around. Some jumped into there friends car in front of us in line because drive through was going faster. There were about ten of them in one car. Then when they got to the drive through they all got out and talked to all the high school kids that were working there. However the snow cones were amazing. read more

Great snow cones - terrible order management. The problem is either lack of training or lack of caring. As one review said - this has been the case since the day this location opened. Even if there are fifteen people in front (there aren't) it should not take 45 minutes or more for a snow cone. I am watching customers leave as I'm sitting here. Must have read the reviews. Next time will try another location - drive time should be offset by this ridiculous wait time. You can get served a nice steak dinner at a fine restaurant in less time! Ridiculous and unacceptable. Slow doesn't describe the total experience...I was the only person inside in line. There were two workers definitely working the drive through. It took 7 minutes just to be acknowledged. I'm ok with waiting for a snow cone...not a big deal...but no one said "hi" or "we will be with you in a few minutes". The floors were so sticky and had trash everywhere. I had written a previous review offering high kudos to this place. We've gone often even in the dead of winter. Today we were in line at 7:40. We moved 4 car lengths. At 8:00pm they came out and told us we wouldn't be helped. I understand a cutoff but to move 4 lengths and then do this wasn't good business. I was stuck in the line and was surprised how they continued to take people at the walk up after we were told they would help us. 12-15 people walked up after and they were all told they would be helped. The sno cones are delicious and definitely the only thing keeping this location running. I'm still not sure if they are worth the 40 minute (or more) wait, but I keep coming back hoping for better results. The past month, the place has been swarming with bees but today it was so bad that people in line were swatting and doing funny dances to keep them away. They were all over the inside where the kids were working and the poor guy working the cashier window looked frantic and said he had been stung several times. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that my sno cone came out first and my son and his friend never got theirs. I was completely finished with mine, thinking their's would come out eventually but apparently the order was lost. We are Rita's fans since we are from the East Coast, so we were happy to hear that BB's was similar. We do love the product, but the wait time and the parking lot situation make us not want to come here. If they would consider lining cars out the back and down the side road, rather than through the parking lot, it wouldn't make it so difficult to get in/out of the place. Terrible! Don't go to this location! Every time we have gone here the service is horrible and wait is long. We decided to try one more time and were yet again disappointed. After ordering and waiting 20 minutes for our shaved ice we decided to ask what the hold up was, it is just shaved ice after all. The young man working the window said oh we are out of ice cream. We are huge Bahama Bucks fans, and were so excited about the location in McKinney opening. However, they are extremely SLOW ... So much so we could drive to the Frisco location and back in about the same amount of time it takes to get our order. Also, they need a little more practice making the snow cones...2 out if 3 times we've been there was no syrup or flavoring in the entire middle section...just ice. We have hope they will improve and live up to the Bahama bucks we know and love, so we will try again in a few months. read more

I pre-ordered a Party pack for my Granddaughter Birthday Party. We asked for the order to be ready at 11:00am. I was running late and got there at 12:00. There were 4 people sitting on the patio and two cars in the drive thru lane. I walked up to the window told them I was there to pick up the Party pack and it was not ready. I had to wait 20 min for them to put it together. They didn't even have the ice shaved for it when I got there. When we arrived at the party in Allen at the splash park we discovered they had not put any spoons in the bag. The kids had to wait for us to go find spoons for them. We found and quickly learned to love Bahama Buck's, but the sad thing is they simply don't have a sense of how to run a crew of kids. They have the kids running all over instead of having some organized system of using them where their talents lie. It's really sad to see hard workers running around while those who lack motivation or common sense tell the worker bees where they want them. No company succeeds when it has no manager to oversee operations. Speaking of bees, I feel forced to use the drive through which takes an average of about 20-30 min. for shaved ice because the patio area is infested with bees drawn to all that sugar syrup. Yuck. Wipe off the tables,chairs and floor once in a while, please. I will keep looking. For now, I love their products but hate the disorganized mess going on inside that finally, finally puts a treat in my hands. If I am paying $5 for a drink/treat, it seems the folks making it would have figured out how to streamline production. We asked for the person who we normally like to order from. They said she'd had her last shift earlier in the afternoon. Good on you, shorty! You are too good to work with people who cannot see your talents and use them to their benefit.
