And the ice cream is so fake tasting now, hyper sweet with extra ultra processed emulsifier to rip you off. What a waste of money, I threw the sticky gross mess down the disposal. read more

Super creamy soft serve and refreshing Italian ice makes this place a wonderful choice for a delicious frozen treat! Each time I've gone the staff was super friendly and offered samples of their many flavors of Italian ice! The soft serve only comes in two flavors but it's best when you mix the soft serve in with the Italian ice to make a Gelati! If a Gelati is not your thing, you can just get a vanilla, chocolate or twist of soft serve in a cup or cone or a mix of Italian ice flavors in a cup, either way you can't go wrong! All flavors that I've tasted have been delicious. Not to sound like Willy Wonka in "saying the strawberries taste like strawberries and the snozzberries taste like snozzberries," but the flavors are pretty spot on and don't leave your tongue colored for hours or a nasty after taste. They are not too sweet and the ice is so fine that it practically melts as soon as it hits your tongue and goes down smooth. My kids beg me to take them to this place almost everyday! When I was in college at UCF, there was a strip mall across the street from the university which was home to a walk-up window that served the very best ice cream nearby. EVERYONE loved Jeremiah's. It was a meetup spot, a place for group social events, or the perfect ending to a first date. When I had my wisdom teeth removed, we went straight to Jeremiah's after. When you met a new friend, you asked them their favorite Jeremiah's combo. So, Jeremiah's holds a lot of nostalgia for me. And since moving away from Florida over 10 years ago, it's a craving that never goes away. A group of fellow alumni visited on opening night and the gelati was just as good as I remember. My standby order is Scoop Froggy Frog (mint chocolate chip) with swirl ice cream - a classic. But they have a ton of flavors, usually 30 or so at a given time. Jeremiah's offers free samples so you can try a lot of flavors before deciding. Cookie Batter and P-Nutty are also favorites for me. In the fall, a Pumpkin+Vanilla combo is where its at. So smooth and delicious... and addicting! This location has a drive-through, making it easier than ever to grab a sweet treat as you pass through McKinney. The staff was friendly and hospitable, the type of people you really love to support in a small business. I'll be back every time I'm in McKinney! read more

When I lived in McKinney this was my go to for Italian ice. They have a variety of flavors you will not find in most stores such as Key West and real coconut. The have a really good app that sends out coupons regularly and will even give you a free small size to start off so be too sign up. The prices are family friendly which is rare to find these days. Only get a large if you are truly hungry because it easily serves to hungry adults or one very hungry football player. read more

In the Karate Kid, Daniel trains day in and day out to take on the guys over at Cobra Kai. He trains for long hours and often questions why he's being taught dumbass moves before realizing that waxed car move was really about respect or endurance or some other 80s morality crap. In the end, Daniel wins (sorry...spoiler...but like it's been 30 years so if your ass hasn't watched it, that's on you) and even with a broken leg he's the champion. Except Cobra Kai really kicked his butt. And those dudes trained but they had it all together. They followed procedures. They didn't need to train as long to be awesome. Plus...they may not have won, but they didn't walk away with a broken leg. Not really even scratches. Pretty sure Daniel just got lucky there. (Let's not talk about sequels.) Jeremiah's is Cobra Kai. Unlike the Daniel that is Bahama Bucks, I get my shaved ice needs quickly because they have a system that doesn't involve a 45 minute wait. They are also disciplined, as they offer plenty of napkins and the only thing remotely Daniel about this place is that they both had manners. We were asked if we wanted to try samples of things. It was like a Sams Club on a Saturday with the samples. Jeremiah's didn't need to train wax on wax off to beat Bahama Buck's. Just the fact that they are in the SAME DAMN LOCATION of what used to be BB speaks for itself. It's like they kicked Daniel's butt IN HIS OWN HOUSE. The Bahama Breeze was awesome. Both were very good and we are excited to have a new place near home to get dessert from! The only downside here was the customer service. Fantastic! We showed up for the anniversary event which offered half off small and medium ice creams, face painting, and balloon animals. It was well-staffed and they were all prepared and patient with the numerous customers crowding their store. We got two Gelatis with black cherry and mango. The Italian ice has the perfect consistency (super fine ice) and the ice cream is smooth and luscious. The tanginess of the Italian ice perfectly complements the creaminess of the soft ice cream. We stopped by last night around 8 PM and everyone was fantastic. The kids working there were really nice and even gave us suggestions. Once our order was taken, it took around 2 minutes to get our order out. What I liked is that after the kids gave us our order, the manager doubled checked to make sure we had all our items! The lobby was a little noisy because there was a volleyball team there, but I saw there was plenty of seating indoors. We sat outside there they have two tables. I noticed they have a drive thru, which is pretty cool. We had the Piña Colada gelati, Cookies and crème gelati and soft serve ice cream. All to die for and not too sweet. Excuse me for not posting pictures. This place is great. It was thunder and pouring rain like crazy but they kept working and the place was still packed. I got a two flavored mango and strawberry. They were both good but the mango was most excellent. Fun fact they accidentally got some of the vanilla frozen yogurt in my cup and they make a swirl and it was soo dang good I kid you not. It was like a bite of a creamsicle. I'm getting one next time for sure. The prices are fairly decent compared to most gourmet ice cream or gelato places in town. Plenty of parking and very clean interior. Give this place a try if you're looking for a real deal Italian ice like from the east coast. read more
