I've had some good experiences, like pulling up and not having to wait at all, to having to wait 35-50 minutes, waiting doesn't bother me because generally I'm not in a hurry, however what is concerning is these kids, because that's what they are, have no idea how to fill the cup with syrup, look or actually BE productive or churn people out. Probably the best shaved ice I've ever had. Try their holiday flavors. I tried the smoothie for the first time today and was not disappointed. It was on par with the awesome shaved ice I've came to expect from this wonderful place. The only reason this place didn't get five stars is because there isn't any inside seating which would have been nice on the 34 degree day we went. First time at this location, last night. May be thr last unless there aren't any customers in sight for 2 miles. The treats themselves were great. .same as the other location in Frisco. However, waited over hour in line in the drive - thru. Never again. I don't know if there wasn't a manager present or what but it literally took from 9:20pm when we drove up until 10:40p to get our order. Ridiculous. Even walk up wasn't as long of a wait, but they looked frustrated in waiting too. After all of that, they still got my order wrong. Didn't bother to correct it because it would have been another hour to fix it. The only way that I will go back is if it's during the day, empty, cold and/or raining. Maybe then I'll get faster service. For now, I'll take the extra drive and go to the Frisco location. read more

I've been driving past Bahama Bucks for a few months now, and every time there's a huge line, so I kept driving. Today, there was no line and I whipped into the parking lot--to find out that they weren't open. Yelp says they open at 1 pm on Sundays, but they actually open at 2 pm. I decided to wait around and I ended up getting two flavors--Sugar Cookie and Blueberry Cheesecake--and both were delicious and tasted like the real thing! The ice is shaved super-fine, and there were no hard chunks of ice. The Sugar Cookie flavor tastes like a cookie, more Snickerdoodle than sugar but very good. The Blueberry Cheesecake is very sweet, with a creamy blueberry flavor that's not tart at all. The flavor menu is huge, with everything from Cotton Candy to Pickle Juice to Wedding Cake, and they also have floats and other speciality items. These are the best snowcones I've ever had, hands down--though I will still be hitting up Scallywags, too, because I like buying my snowcones out of a pirate ship. read more

Very disappointed. I sat in the drive-thru for almost 30 minutes along with a few other cars. Everyone behind me decided to leave and so did I because it was ridiculous how slow the service is here. Fast food and even restaurants are faster than this place. Will not return here even though I get my truck washed consistently next door. Our favorite spot in Prosper is closed on Sundays, so we tried this place. It was a waste of 16 dollars. Ordered a root beer float and received shaved ice. Ordered a cut strawberry fruit bowl with whip cream, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream. The "forbidden fruit" pictured on their website. What I got was shaved ice with specks of cream and ice cream and the worst red dye after taste I've ever experienced. I threw it away in the disgusting trash can on premise. So the employees instead of telling me the location didn't serve fruit bowls upon ordering took liberties and made up an awful concoction and served it to us??! Service was awful. Line was too long. Cups were dripping with no napkins offered. Never ever again. The 2.5 star rating is warranted. If your fortunate to see all of these ratings/ warnings before you go, take heed. read more

This is my second time trying this location in hopes the first time was a one time thing but both times I've come here I've waited an entirely long time in the drive thru with only one or two cars ahead of me. Went at 9:16pm tonight. Drive thru had a line, but no one at the window. I went and ordered 3 snow cones.. The patio was trashed. Used spoons at the order window. Umbrella toothpicks on the ground and table tops. Tabletops had sticky syrup everywhere. Staff was extremely unprofessional. I waited and waited. Two of the three snowcones were ready. I went up to the pickup window waiting and looking in for the third. Clearly the staff can see me, never acknowledge me. Inside two young ladies look up, look at me and continued to have a snowcone fight (which I'm all for if the job is done). I sit there and just watch them as they watch me and continue. Finally, I guess the party was over and they got to making the grape snowcone, but since they felt I guess "rushed" there was next to no grape syrup in it. I asked for a drink carrier and the young lady said "oh we don't have those. Ya sorry." Never told me in the beginning and I had to walk back to my car with three dripping snowcones and my dog. The snowcones spill all over in my center console/seats and it's a sticky mess in the car and all over me and my arm. What a waste of 17 dollars. Sad part. This took almost 20 minutes. This location is trash. Calling the manager in the morning and getting a refund. The Frisco location off of legacy and Eldorado is so much better. read more

Since this is a chain operation, naturally they are able to provide fairly consistent expectations at several locations, if you want a sno cone and unsure of where to find your local mom and pop ones-this is great to search for. They are a bit more pricey than your normal sno cone-after all it is just ice and syrup. However, they do have a variety of options: syrups, ice cream, sprinkles toppings ect as well as syrup that is on the "skinny" side, so many smoothie options, protein shakes, iced coffee and even a few hotter options for closer to winter. The sno cones come with an umbrella and color changing spoon. The Virginia location is a drive through/sit outside under the canopy type. They do have outdoor bathrooms though. The Eldorado location has indoor seating. Service was a tad slow but overall nice people. read more

LONG POST! This Bahama Bucks has me messed ALL THE WAY UP. I came up here a Sunday evening, there was no line, I pulled right up to order. I waited for 5 mins to order (I didn't mind, I know snocones take a while). I pull up to the window and to my surprise the guy (On my reciept it say Kirby S. was my server, thats probably him) who took my order is the only person working, he took my card, he's making the snowcone, and he's giving them to the people. There's a girl with a headset around her neck and she eating what looks likes ice cream off a spoon (not even trying to hide it, she's directly in the window), NOT WORKING, she's literally just standing over the counter eating and laughing with another girl who wasn't working either. So I'm watching as this poor boy is reaching over these girls who aren't working to get the snocones done as quick as he can BY HIMSELF. He finally gets it done and gives me my snowcone and I asked him "where's your manager?" he said they weren't in and I told him "Well i'm just trying to figure out b/c you're the only person working in here, I'm trying to get you some help". This boy looked at me like wow, thank you, somebody sees this too lol. But he just said "Thank you" I told him have a good day and drove off. I get 2 minutes up the street and had to pull over and call the store b/c surely these teens aren't the only ones operating this business. The conversation I had with one of the girls was BEYOND rude, I won't even get into that. I'm calling this store everyday until I get ahold of the manager b/c I need answers. If could give this experience zero stars i would. I pulled up at 8:50 and ordered 3 small oais smoothies and the employee took my order and told me to pull up and they would have my total at the window. I pulled up behind 2 cars that were in front of me watched them get what they ordered and when i pulled up two girls one with long brown hair (which technically should've been put up in a pony tail ) and a red head , were standing at the window they preceded to pull in the tip jar from outside the window slammed it and locked it twice in my face all while laughing. I sat there waiting for my order still giving them the benefit of the doubt, but no they never came back to the window. instead they shut off the lights outside of the building. I called the store almost immediately after and the girl who i talked to on the phone with told me that my order was never taken as if i was lying. Then she went on to tell me they were now closed and then HUNG UP IN MY FACE. i then called again asked to speak to a manager n the manager was very nonchalant n after being on the phone for about 1 min she once again hung up in my face. WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE?!! I understand that I arrived near closing time. I have worked in this industry before n trust me ik it's annoying to have to take someones order when it is close to close but its YOUR JOB. i went through the line with every intention to tip but now i may never come back to this location. This review is probably a waste of time, as most locals know this place is embarrassingly overpriced and always understaffed yet people still keep going and it stays open. I've been here twice and both times with a short drive thru my wait time has been about 15-20 minutes. We've tried different flavors each time and would have to say they were pretty disappointing. The cherry coke one doesn't taste like cherry coke whatsoever and the blue vanilla one was just disgusting, my kids didn't even want to eat it. It's also very expensive for shaved ice, we spent about $20 for four people and we got the smallest sizes. read more

I just had the worst experience at the Virginia Street location. I ordered a Caribbean soda (that said it was a creamy vanilla treat). I was served to me with congealed chunks of nondairy topping throughout and it tasted terrible. There should be someone monitoring the quality of what is served at this location or you will make a child sick! If anyone knows the owner, I would LOVE to speak with them. This is quite possibly the worst place for customer service. We sat in the drive-through for 33 minutes; when we got to the window had to wait another 5 for our drinks. When we got out drinks the strawberry lemonade had only a few pieces of pellet sized ice and was spilling out of the cup.
