Scrambler Café - Princeton December 6, 2025…read more (5/5) Scrambler Café has been a go-to spot for my family for nearly two years, and it continues to stand out as one of the most reliable and enjoyable places to eat in Princeton. The food is consistently excellent. The Buffalo chicken wrap paired with French fries or onion rings is a must-order, and the chicken fried steak is always cooked perfectly and full of flavor. Their breakfast menu is especially strong, offering a wide range of well-executed options that keep us coming back. For lunch, the club sandwich is a favorite, and the Reuben on rye with sauerkraut is hearty, flavorful, and done exactly right. What truly sets Scrambler Café apart, though, is the service and atmosphere. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making you feel like a regular even if it's your first visit. Service is prompt without feeling rushed, and you can tell the team genuinely cares about the guest experience. The ambiance is warm, comfortable, and inviting -- the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and actually enjoy the time spent there. It's clean, well-maintained, and has a hometown feel that's hard to find these days. Scrambler Café nails the full package: great food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment. It's a place we'll continue to return to and confidently recommend to others.

The beignets were light and fluffy a perfect French dessert in the morning--I loved that they gave you a variety of different sauces. The meat lovers scrambler or the breakfast burrito was a really great breakfast item filled with bacon, diced ham, and sausage. It was a great value for $14. Although the pancake flight was pretty, the pancake itself was kind of dry. I liked the cinnamon roll pancake though as it was unique and perfect for my sweet tooth. Keep in mind that this is a very carb-loading meal, so you're bound to be really full after! It's a bright and clean cafe--perfect for after church.

You have to seat yourself - there were enough vacant tables to pick from. Within a few minutes, our server was over and helped us narrow down on what we wanted to order. I went for a Crushed Velvet Mule in addition to Cali, Buffalo (both grilled versions) and Burg B Q. We told our server that between me and my wife, we will be sharing the chicken sandwich and hence requested that it be sliced into 2. Not only were the burgers sliced, it was served in separate plates with sides as well - that was a really nice touch. Cali was a bit bland, Buffalo and Burg B Q were both really nice. The drink was nice as well. There was live music but we were seated near a table that was pretty boisterous, could hardly hear anything. The outdoor seating overlooking greenery and events they do at the restaurant make the place quite different - we will definitely be back soon to try other options on the menu.

I was so joyfully greeted on this cloudy & rainy morning. I immediately wanted one of everything, so I asked for a moment to take in all the wonderful offerings and make my selection. I immediately knew I wanted fresh bread to take home & selected the cinnamon raisin bread loaf. They kindly sliced it for me before bagging it up. I also chose the Banana Nut Muffin with Chocolate Chips. I planned to take my goodies home, but barely made it to the car before I dig into the muffin and ended uo finishing the entire thing in the car - it was SOOO good and so filling! When I got home I dug into the bread. My favorite bread back home was the raisin hazelnut and Bresnan's cinnamon raisins is better! Full of soft raisins the bread, while I hate this word can't think of a better description, was moist. I ate another slice and then my son (picky eater) asked for a bite. He was so impressed he asked for a slice. It's been 24hrs and there are 3 slices left! I may have to go back again this week to get another loaf. There will be many more reviews of Bresenan to come as I plan to go back and try other breads as well as the baked goods and cookies. I also plan to bring a book on one of these visits. Maybe set up in the beautiful window seats or a cozy and quiet table to enjoy my fresh baked treat with a coffee and relax.

We learned that Hugs Cafe is a nonprofit that employs adults with disabilities, which made us want to support them even more. The jams used on the sandwiches were so unique and sweet, and they paired extremely well with the meat on each sandwich. Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with care. The potato salad was also delicious and the perfect side to our meal. Beyond the incredible food, the service was warm and welcoming, and you could truly feel the heart behind this place. Perfect spot for breakfast or lunch -- just don't sleep in too late because they close at 3pm! I grabbed a sandwich, a cup of soup, and a drink for around $15, which felt like a steal considering the good vibes included free of charge. Everyone working there genuinely seemed happy to be there, and the enthusiasm was so strong we actually had to defend our food from an adorably overachieving employee trying to clear the table before we were finished. Honestly, if the whole world had that level of work ethic, we'd all be retired by now. Do yourself a favor and stop by Hugs -- good food, amazing mission, and enough positivity to restore your faith in humanity for at least the rest of the afternoon!

I will say, along with the food being great we keep coming back because not only is the owner great but she has one amazing server-Christina! ASK FOR CHRISTINIA! She is truly amazing. The only thing I wasn't happy with about the other service was when I came in (8 months pregnant) with 2 young boys on my hand, I asked for a table while waiting on my husband to park the car. The hostess told me everyone needed to be there so I needed to wait in the waiting area. I could definitely understand if it was packed but this day it wasn't & there were more than enough empty tables. Being that far along in pregnancy you just want to sit down comfortably & just start sipping on something cold to drink while you're waiting anywhere.
