Just looking at their extremely low star rating I'm guessing that they really don't care about their yelp reviews but, I'll add to the downward negative trajectory anyways. Came through the drive-through tonight, the girl was pleasant so that's why I gave it more than one star but, they are back to using tap water in their ice blocks. For a while they had started using filtered water but, all five of our shaved ice tasted like pool water. No amount of sugary syrup or cream could overcome the horrific aftertaste. It's not hard to get a water filter added so, that the ice doesn't taste like chlorine but, we won't be back for a while. I am very disappointed with this location. I ordered 10 items to include two wave benders and a yogurt bowl. I got my wave benders and then the last thing I was waiting on was my yogurt bowl. The worker came and told me they were out of banana so I said that was fine, and they put more of the other fruit on it. I drove 30 minutes home to fountain hills and everyone tried their drinks. The wave benders looked like there was a lot of syrup in them and they tasted different. Not as good as I promised. I called Bahama Bucks and asked if they put any banana in it to which they replied "NO" and they already told me they were out of banana so they used a banana syrup. I asked why the worker didn't tell me that at the window before she handed me the wave bender drinks, because if I had known that I would've ordered something else!!! She didn't tell me until the last minute when they were making my yogurt bowl (the last item) and they asked me if I wanted to substitute other fruits. Why wouldn't they tell me that when they were making my wave benders??? The lady on the phone was VERY RUDE and lacks customer service. I was told "well, sorry there's nothing we can do". I drove over an hour total so I could have a bunch of drink full of syrup. Not a care in the world from that worker. Substituting real banana for banana syrup DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME I paid almost $8 for each drink I expect it to be made correctly or let me know if not I will order something else!!! I am giving this 2 stars because I actually enjoyed my no sugar baby cherry. I actually enjoyed it too much. I'm hoping it wasn't the regular cherry which has 45 grams of sugar. I am a diabetic and that would not be good if it was. I'm going to check my sugar tomorrow morning. If it is very high tomorrow, I will never go to any Bahama Bucks ever again! My husband and I have never had an issue until tonight. Keeping it short, there really needs to be an adult staffed in that building. Two kids didn't know what we were ordering, even though it was signature drinks listed on the menu, and after finally getting help, it took them 25 minutes to make/serve me a Red Bull infused drink. If they weren't so busy laughing and giving out free things to their two tables full of friends, then trying to catch up with the drive thru, maybe they wouldn't have forgotten about my order. My husband had to go up and ask about it to which the "shift lead" advised he would get to it after finishing another order (someone who again ordered after us). Bahama bucks shaved ice is good. The flavor is there and I don't find it as missing flavor. Sometimes at other places the shaved ice is missing flavor on one side or somewhere in the middle. Then again maybe I am thinking of snow cones and not shaved ice. Snow cones have ice chunks instead of the soft shaved ice that is found at this location. The restaurant has almost too many flavor options so it makes it hard for me to choose. I went with the strawberry cream as it seemed the most safe option for me to choose. The flavor and the shaved ice was as I would expect. I was surprised by the color changing soon though. The color changing spoon was pretty neat. There wasn't many people there when I went. I was glad about that. The less people, the faster the service. read more

I love Bahama Buck's but this location sucks. They charged me $1 extra for sprinkles that are supposed to be free then put cream on my shaved ice that I specifically told the girl I didn't want. When I told her again I didn't want the cream she rolled her eyes and then mumbled that they would re-make them. When I got it home and started eating it I found that they did not actually remake it, but only scraped the top off and left the nasty cream in the bottom. I love Bahama sucks, but this location is not good. I was the only one in the drive thru and it took forever to get my drink, the girls who took our order and gave our drinks were not very friendly. So tonight, my roomie and I decided we wanted the deliciousness that is Bahama Bucks and there just happens to be one relatively close. There was no line and we were able to get up to the speaker right away. The gal who took our order seemed *incredibly* bored and was not very welcoming at all. My roomie and I both got Bahama Rama Mamas (shaved ice with ice cream in the bottom of the cup). The same gal who took our order pretty much tossed our shaved ices at us without telling us which was which and closed the window abruptly, without giving us a chance to clarify which one was which (as we both got root beer and another favor, it was difficult to tell). On top of the unfriendly service, neither of our shaved ices had ice cream and mine wasn't blended well - there were giant chunks of ice floating around in the pool of flavor...I had to put it in the freezer when I got home to resolidify the ice. Not to mention, we didn't even get what we paid for, which is a huge annoyance. The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because of my prior experiences. Had this been the only experience I'd had, I would absolutely had given one star and I wouldn't be back. TL;DR: save yourself the frustration and drive a few miles to another location.
