I would just like to start off by prefacing that my low rating may be due to personal taste preferences-- but regardless, I will say my experience with Bahama Bucks was, frankly, atrocious. To start off with, I came for the Sonic the Hedgehog event (around late August) and it was wholly underwhelming. Each order comes only with a character print out on a toothpick and a character spoon (both random), unless you want to pay extra for a themed cup. This, in itself, wasn't the main problem-- rather, it was the fact that the flavors they chose for this promotion were horrific! I'm honestly still unclear on what flavor I even received, but the Shadow Sno was some weird mix of sour cherry and cookies and creme with Oreo crumble on top; enjoyable if you like having your entire palette to suffer with the most conflicting flavors to ever be presented on this planet. The Sonic Sno was better (a low bar to beat) but not by much--I believe it was blue raspberry with Sour Patch Sauce drizzled over top. It was acidic to the point where I feel like my face was regressing into the back of my brain, and honestly just kind of nauseating. Not the worst thing I've ever eaten, but definitely not something I'd choose of my own free will. I will say that the portions they give are very generous, but it feels quite wasteful when you can only eat maybe 3 bites before getting sick of the taste. Maybe I'll try Bahama Buck's again and get actually edible flavors, but my past experience has me waking up in the middle of night in cold sweat, so probably not. Staff were very friendly and sweet, though! The decor of the place is also very beachy and has some pretty good vibes. If you come here, just don't order those two flavors and you'd probably have a way better experience than the one I just described. read more

I got the warheads flavor with sour spray and sour sand and it was super sour and refreshing! I also got a side of sour sand so I could sprinkle more as I was eating! Very inconsistent! I'm so sad, I tell everyone how great this place was and I've gone twice in this month. It is disappointing that they are inconsistent. We drive over an hour and a half to come here. We spend so much money on my alone. They charge for every little thing which is fine as long as the outcome is what's expected. I literally get the same thing; Two weeks ago I had an avalanche, and this time I only got a large because of the avalanche was a fail. I get the natural guava and natural mango, extra extra tropic creme, extra sour sand, extra sour patch sauce. I literally get charged for everything but the sand which like I said I am okay with it if it tasted anything like the first two time. Then when I get my shaved ice I ask the ladies if I can have more sour patch sauce they gave me a look both times. Even last week when I took my family for their first time hoping it would be a good time it wasn't. I had to come back and ask for extra syrup cause it was tasteless , all you could taste was my sour sauce. So if it wasn't for the sour patch sauce I would of only had ice. Then when I had to go back again for my sisters one, I asked for extra sour sand on the side , and the lady questioned me saying that it's not that sour because it's sand, which I know hence why I asked for extra on the side. Literally only two large shaved ice and it cost me $17 all I ask is for the quality and taste to be consistent. The first one was the best one and probably the last amazing one I will have. Wish I remember who made it, didn't expect them to be so inconsistent. Took me so long to get my family here and now they are most definitely not coming back. Now I'm not sure whether it's worth the drive anymore. Will probably take a break from here until they fix themselves cause they need help. CONSISTENCY IS KEY! Delicious and overall satisfied my sweet craving. It was my first time trying this and I appreciated that the cashier was patient and helpful. We ended up ordering the small 12oz size "bahama rama mama" which comes with three flavors and ice cream on the bottom which was a decent size for two people (total ~$7). Enjoyed that the ice was soft and not crunchy. Next time I think I will order the baby size. They also provide you a stamp card in which after your tenth order, your next one will be free. When you walk in your greeted by an employee and see a long row of delicious flavors just waiting for you to try them. There are 40 plus flavors. The sizes range from the baby which is 8oz all the way up to the avalanche which is 32oz. My kiddo and 8 both got the 8ozs, he got blue bubblegum as well as pink and blue cotton candy. I got the mangonoado which is mango syrup, chamoy and chili salt. Both were very good, hubby got the pina coloda inspired fruit drink which was pineapple and coconut blended with nonfat yogurt. You can also ge5 your ice with a scope if vanilla, strawberry or chocolate icecream in the bottom. They have some really cool combinations like oreo which has oreo cream stuffed inside and a bomb pop insipred treat that comes with a mini bomb pop. The ice is so delcious and soft, they also have to go boxes that serve either 25 or 10 with everything needed to make treats for a party or just for fun. They also sell snowballs that you can throw at each other, they are sold in a 24 pack as well as a 60 pack. So if your craving something cool and refreshing this is the place to go.
