Looked up places for a quick treat and tried to avoid the typical ice cream chains. So happy we made the decision to try this place. It's a little hidden in the back corner of the parking lot. The service was fast and the employee was attentive . The gelato was really good. Keep in mind there is no where to sit and dine it is more of a grab and go place. We don't live in the area so ended up needing to finish our treats in the car before having to travel home. The have the option to have your ice cream in a bowl or a cone.
Serving 50 employees, all of whom were 100% satisfied, is a feat not many can accomplish unless you're Happy Camper Creamery! What can I say, from the initial communication to arriving on time to serving every employee with a smile, Happy Camper Creamery is the real deal. And, DELICIOUS. The gelato and sorbet was creamy, flavorful and super yummy. I can't wait until next time!
Happy camper by far has the best gelato, the owner is extremely friendly, great customer service, very cute inside. Their poppyseed lemon is my favorite, our pup absolutely loves the doglato. Highly recommend!!!
Y'all I found my all time favorite icecream/gelato place ever! Thank you yelp and thank you to my bf for suggesting a place other than our usual a la minute. I can't believe I'm finding out about this place now, and it's only 2 minutes away from us Food: absolutely delicious, every single flavor was so tasteful, the name exactly described what we were expecting and more. The dark side (chocolate with chocolate chips) was the perfectly chocolatey, blueberry lemon sorbet was amazing balance of sweet fruity and tart. Brownie crumble had fudgy bits of brownie mixed with vanilla, I had to get a whole pint to go! We had the chance to try out basically every single flavor and all of them managed to impress us. Apparently all the gelato and sorbet here are handmade on site by the owner, and for the orange sorbet, she even hand picked them and juiced them herself! Price: single scoop (which can still be 2 different flavors) was $4, double scoop was $5.5, and each pint is $9. But if you do 3 pints for to go, there's a discount and it only costs $22.50. What a deal for such high quality handmade gelato and sorbet, we ended up getting a single, a double, and 3 pints haha Ambiance: small little cute store in a big strip mall complex, it's kind of hidden away in a corner. Just enough space for about 10 people standing up, no tables or seats. It's just a grab and go kind of place, eat and share your icecream outside or at home. It was not busy despite it being weekend, it has been 2.5 years since this place opened, and I think it's not well advertised, but hopefully that's about to change, since I'm going to tell all my friends and their mothers about this place! Service: gosh the owner Erica is such a lovely human being, you can clearly tell that she loves her job, she was so nice and friendly, let us try out all the flavors on the menu, what an amazing experience! I'm a Happy Camper here at this Creamery and if you haven't seen passionate and bubbly before then Erica, the owner, is the definition of it. She welcomed us with open arms practically and let me sample almost every flavor on the menu. In case you don't know, this is a creamery where everything is made inhouse. The gelato and sorbets are both simply amazing. Their oreo flavor is the best seller, the blueberry lemon sorbet is also amazing. Darkside, orange sorbet, goodness, the list never ends. Everything was so good here, I just couldn't decide so we got scoops AND pints. Anyway, I could rave on and on about this place but the best way to truly appreciate Happy Camper is to go and support Erica herself. Buy lots of pints and eat lots of gelato for ultimate happiness. You won't regret it!
I was working in the area, and had a craving for something light and cold. I'll admit, at first... I thought Siri (no, not my wife) was getting me lost. Keep looking y'all, you will be rewarded with freshly made (in-house) gelato. We were helped by the friendliest employee - I'm sorry, my memory has been in decline since birth - I think her name is... Elise (my apologies) ... she was very helpful and patient with us. Try some samples if you wish. I tried the coconut and that's all I needed to taste... Coconut it is! Wow, the freshest-tasting coconut gelato I ever had. So smooth, creamy and tiny crisp shreds of coconut, not artificial tasting at all. If I were packing dry ice, I'd have ordered a few pints. I highly recommend this place, and of course it needs to be said, l'm a "Happy Camper" for coming here. Ahahahahaha, sorry... not sorry :)
First off my name is Breanna and I love happy camper creamery ! My company promised ice cream on a hot sunny day. I thought we were gonna get like Slurpee's or something. I was really surprised and happy to have tried the dairy free mango sherbet. it tasted authentic and had real flavorful tastes. There was real mango inside. she also had like a coffee one and a cookies and cream strawberries, but I kept going back for the mango. Never have. I tried ice cream like this. They take it to a whole new level and it's family owned. She's very sweet.
Located in a quiet plaza that looks like it was once comprised of industrial offices. There are no seats inside, so we sat on the four outside benches. I was hoping for American ice cream, but Happy Camper Creamery actually makes gelato and sorbet. That's on me for not checking though. I got the double scoop for $5.50 before tax. Flavors were okay. I tried the lemon bar; It was more lemon than crumble/bar. I also identified something too sharp and perfumey that I didn't like. Next, I tried the German Chocolate Cake. It was a chocolate gelato with nuts and shredded coconut. I thought it could have used a caramel swirl (to evoke the frosting element) or actual cake pieces, but the taste was alright. In the end, I asked for a scoop of German Chocolate Cake and Whopper Crunch. Unfortunately, the two flavors were indistinguishable. The Whopper Crunch used the same chocolate base, and there were no discernible pieces of whoppers or crunch.
We love this cute ice cream store. It's decorated so nicely. We're glad that they are opened until 8 pm. We've been here before and craved their ice cream for dessert. Everyone picked their own flavor for pint size. Our kids got S'mores, hubby got coffee Oreo and 8 got the coffee chip. Employee was friendly and quick with her service.
I'm happy to have found Happy Camper Creamery, but not as happy as the owner is to talk about it (see pic with expressive hand gesture). Bubbly is an understatement to her enthusiasm about her business and love of ice cream, gelato and sorbet - and the quality of the product shows. Our family stopped by after a day trip to the Palm Springs Windmill Tours (see my Yelp review). One of the best of her ideas was that a "scoop" is really two mini-scoops. We, personally, love the idea of having 2 different flavors, the ability to mix and match (of course, you can get 2 of the same - but why?). All the creamery products are made onsite with quality and flavor in mind - not mass production. BREAKING NEWS: they will be making waffle cones starting next week! I can smell the cooking of the cones already. We had 4 cups and 8 flavors. We not only enjoyed the flavor combination but we rationalized that gelato was healthier for us since it uses more whole milk and less heavy cream. We left quite a bit happier - plus a pint for later.

Happy Camper Creamery is easily one of my favorite local dessert spots in Redlands. Erica and her team are consistently kind, welcoming, and helpful, whether I'm visiting with family, friends, colleagues, or just treating myself. My wife and I can't speak highly enough of them--they even catered our child's birthday last year, and they didn't miss a beat, even when an unexpected rainstorm rolled in! If you are looking for recommendations, their gelato is incredible. You have to try the creamy praline, pistachio, oatmeal cookie, strawberry, coconut almond chip, coffee Oreo, and Irish Cream flavors. It's honestly a challenge to stop at just one scoop! They also offer pints to take home and delicious sorbets for anyone looking for dairy-free options. My personal go-to is the creamy praline--it hits the spot every single time. Their scoop shop is nicely designed for the theme of camping or gelato on the go . If you love gelato make sure to stop by if you're in the Inland Empire , a local , or just passing through. Quick-tip: Be sure to double-check their hours before heading over, as they are currently closed on Sundays and Mondays. read more

Absolutely loved this place! They have the best cream made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious, and the portions are generous. Brilliant. Erica (owner and crafter) is so creative and talented. She'll go to Italy and order creams from international countries for quality. The flavors are always changing but her regular flavors, ones you can count on (some type of chocolate, Oreo, sorbets) are all incredible. Personal favorite is any lemon or Redlands orange. The service is also great-everyone is so genuinely friendly. Don't be fooled by the location-it's such a special place you'd expect it to be in a pretentious small town but it's a sweet, humble, DELICIOUS, woman-owned business. Ready, set, GO! read more

Gelato in Redlands? Something you don't see so much in this side of town. Love Happy Camper Creamery, have been supporting them since the pandemic days when they would sell Ice Cream of IG and deliver it to you door. So glad that they finally have their own brick and mortar! Located in the old plaza that houses Escape Brewery and the lost but not forgotten yoga studio that was very much beloved by everyone. If you drive into the plaza, the store is all the way in the back, right corner. Tiny little shop with a bit of outdoor seating, but that's all you really need. Customer service was great, two younger kids who were very patient as I asked for gelato samples. Can't wait to come back to try more flavors and I am really truly happy to see this business grow. read more
Since it is about 150° outside we decided that ice cream was the perfect solution to the heat! This place is tucked away in the corner of an industrial strip of stores. It is so cute! The two girls working were sweet and knowledgeable about the flavors. When we arrived we were the only ones there so it was nice to be able to take our time and go through the big list of flavors and not feel rushed because we felt like we were holding other people up. We chose Stracciatella, s'mores, and peanut butter cup. We were all very pleased with our choices and were more than happy to share with eachother because each flavor was better than the last! The Gelato is nice and creamy and delicious! I can't wait to try all of the flavors!!! I love that they offer a punch card...even though that could be VERY dangerous since we're in the area once a week! I think this is going to become a weekly stop and family favorite! read more
What is in an ice cream that tickles your childhood? This place did that yummy and not overpowering; sweetness, and it didn't kill the flavors. I was a "happy camper." You have to try this place! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They make their ice cream, and it's different flavors every day. If you wait till the end of the day, the flavors get limited because they get sold out quickly. It's hidden and small yet classy and has a comfortable/cozy appearance. I went experimental, didn't go conservative, and tried Coffee Chocolate Pretzel and Coconut, which were deliciously made well. They sell in a cup/waffle/pint The prize is not that bad Please don't get lost looking for the place, and it's back inside a commercial complex that is not commonplace. Indulge in summer or cold days, and you won't regret it (unless you're not a kid at heart). read more

Me and my family came to Happy Camper Creamery. Staff was really polite and welcoming. We tried the mango and lime sorbet. Also the coconut almond, strawberry and dark chocolate. They were all very good and tasted fresh! We will definitely be back to support this business. Yummm!!!! read more

Yes, absolutely. For our pint flavors, each flavor description on our website that is GF, will indicate that it is GF. We rotate our in store scoop flavors almost everyday. Is there a particular flavor you are wondering is GF?
