I love ceviche, so when someone tells me that a place has delicious ceviche, I'm in! So when we popped in for ceviche and were served ... this, we could not have been more disappointed. This is salad with a few pieces of fish. It is NOT ceviche. Also, it wasn't very good. Lacked flavor and lacking in the citrusy taste that ceviche is known for. Meh. Ambiance is virtually nonexistent (it looks like a diner), and service is fine (nothing special). I wouldn't return. read more

Taking my Grandparents out for Breakfast they said this was their favorite place! To my surprise the waitress knew them!! Greeted and seated she knew exactly what they ordered & brought out a special salsa that they love. At first glance this restaurant is old, probably could use an update. Interior is nothing special. Several booths and tables. But it's clean and well lit! Large windows looking out to Saviers Blvd. I can tell you without a doubt my meal was great! My review is not for my meal. It felt like each group were sitting at their regular table. It was packed when we arrived. There was one table available and we were happy to get it. Soccer (Netherlands vs Germany) was on the TV above the bar. Everything we ordered had nice flavor. It was fresh and piping hot. The margarita was the best I've had in a long time. I'm not a huge fan of them, but when in Rome. It wasn't too sweet or too strong. The ingredients were very well balanced. We have been going to Bahia for years. Family owed and just amazing staff. Huevos Bahia are hands down my favorite breakfast. We made our mom mad when we said Bahia mole was our favorite. I stand by that vote years later. Their take out service is fast and order always complete & all the needed extras have never been forgotten. I have been there many times in the past. Food was ok then, but this time I was embarrassed for them. I ordered the chorizo plate. Upon arriving with the plate, I asked the waitress does this look right to you? The beans were way over cooked the cheese was even burnt, the rice was lumpy white rice (maybe to save on tomato sauce?), the chorizo had chunks of other "meats" in it (I'd guess to save on the chorizo). Her only comment was we don't serve the other rice (Mexican rice) on weekends. It will be a long time until I go back there, if I ever do. read more

We love Bajia. They have good food at good prices and the service is always good. My husband usually gets the menudo which is $7 and they will refill as much as you want. He had 3 bowls one time!! I love the Huevos Bajia, which is chile verde and eggs served with rice and beans....sooo good. The chips are okay and I agree that the salsa is just so-so, but I find that I don't really mind that much. When my husband is hankering for some Menudo this is where we go. I used to really love this place. Let it go on record that they do have very flavorful food. Best refried beans in town. The food is hands down yummy. The prices and restrooms not so much. Today they wanted to charge $15.99 for four chicken enchiladas a la carte. C'mon that's robbery. Lol. That just ain't right. So of course I asked the waitress why were they so expensive. I said "$16 for four tortillas? Really? I proceeded to ask "how much is the combo? And she replied that it was $12.99 pshhhh..... give me the combo then. Anyhow I've been going here for more than 10 years. I have never been as disappointed as I was today. Here's the restroom situation. In order to flush the toilet, you have to stick your hand into the tank and pull the little lever. They've even left the top cover lid off so you can do it. By the side of the toilet there's a big trash can where you dump your toilet paper. For one it smells bad and second, you see the toilet paper with feces on it. It's just disgusting. If you're going to want to charge $16 for four green chicken enchiladas, your restrooms need to be clean and in service. These bathrooms have been in this condition for more than four months. It's going downhill. I hope they fix those bathrooms before they call the health department on them. read more

Sorry, I don't understand how you can mess up Mexican food this bad. But yesterday they did. I should have known from the table,, it was dirty,, yet they sat us there. The waitress instead of moving things and wiping down, she only wiped down at the end of the table...I think we were just so happy to eat in a restaurant and were so so hungry.. To start the chips tasted stale. The chile rellenos had no flavor at all? The table salsa was just ok but very salty. The beans very salty. The rice had no flavor?
