Working through COVID has been extremely difficult. I dropped off my shirts to be dry cleaned, something I normally do not do. When walking into the business, I found it to be extremely clean and organized. The owner, Javid (hope my spelling is right) was polite and helpful. Overall, I was appreciative for his help and service. My shirts looked fantastic and I felt comfortable in the establishment. Like I said, I don't normally use a dry cleaner and so this experience was great. Next time I have an extended stay in the city, I will make sure to come back. read more

I've been going to Bahman's for over 12 years and I have always been happy with the service, the quality, and the turnover time. They always remember your name, and they're very honest. They ask me when I want the items to be ready , and they are always on time. I work in fashion and also take my company's clothing to Bahman's, as well. Two reviews are suspiciously similar. They start with "I joined yelp specifically to complain..." makes me think the cleaners don't advertise here. In any case, I love them. I brought them a shirt with very difficult-to-clean ballpoint pen marks. First time they lightened the marks, but they didn't remove them. No problem, try again. Second time, lighter, but still there. No problem, try again. Third time, PERFECT. I asked about replacing a sleeping bag zipper, the tailor told me, "bring it in! Sometimes we can fix the old zipper. You shouldn't have to pay for a replacement." Wow! Where else do you find that! Yeah, they're expensive ($20 for a blanket), but for me, they're worth it! read more

Bahman Cleaners are finishers. I have given them more work in the last year than in the prior 5 years. Everything is good from tailoring to finishing. This is not a "turn it in the dryer" approach to dry cleaning (which apparently some think is a short cut to maintaining your clothing - ugh, no!). I just joined Yelp solely to write a review of how TERRIBLE this business is. I have been a customer for a year now and they have taken advantage of me for the last time. I took about 25 lbs of laundry to be washed and folded only. They selected items at random to dry clean without my permission, and charged me $66 for the dry cleaning and $22 for the rest of the wash-n-fold. This should have cost around $30 total, but it cost $88. I called the owner and he said he would refund me $33, half the cost of the dry cleaning, but he never did. Bottom Line: AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. They are thieves and liars! read more

They will do alterations improperly, charge you a fortune, and then charge you AGAIN to redo it. Shoddy work, poor quality dry cleaning - there are a lot of other dry cleaners in the neighborhood. I used this place solely because I live a block away. The first time I took my clothes in here I had no problems. I even found it to be pretty cheap. However, the second time I took in a shirt and a skirt, I asked them to clean a spot on my skirt. When I got them back, the spot was still there. Not only that, when I put on my skirt, it doesn't fit the same way anymore!! It has definitely shrunk. It's only been a week and a half since I last wore it and no one can gain enough weight in that time to make a skirt go from loose to very snug (and shorter, at that), so I know it's not a personal problem. Aside from the fact that I'm leaving the city in a week, I'd never take my clothes here again. read more

Call it what you will...but I was told if you have a job interview and take your cleaning here prior, you'll get the job. This has happened to two people I know - all got the job. Prices are reasonable, service is great (including free delivery), and they always have my clothes on time. Highly recommended - especially for the job seekers. read more

Brought in an expensive sweater with nice buttons. Three were missing. The owner said "i don't know what happened" and refused to refund my money. I also had a pair of expensive jeans hemmed and they chopped them, making them unwearable. Go elsewhere. There's too many dry cleaners in the city to pay for unacceptable service. read more

Horrible place. The regular cleaning (machine press) crushed two buttons on my shirt, but the employee was very unapologetic and said "it happens." Then I started using their hand press service with no problems for a while. A few days ago I sent six shirts in, paying $4 each for hand press, and two shirts lost a button each! Those are custom shirts costing $160 each, so there's no problem with their construction. It wasn't even same day service - I sent those in the prior morning. And I just discovered that my suit jacket also lost a button on the sleeve after dry cleaning. Adding insult to injury, they tailored the sleeves for me, but they replaced the original buttons with cheap ones, so I can't even use the extra buttons originally provided with the suit to fix it, because the colors are different! They still have tons of shirts hanging around in their place, so I'm assuming quite a lot of people are giving them their business. I just can't understand why. read more

I've been going to Bahman cleaners for almost eight years. I bring all my dry cleaning to them. I live down the street on Bleecker and I used to go there because it was on the way to work. Now that my job is in the opposite direction, I still go there, going out of my way because once I've found a place that I can trust, I don't want to take chances with anyone else. Once I left $40 in the pocket of my pants. When I came to pick them up, the two $20 bills were safety pinned to the outside when I got them back. I haven't had many alterations done Bahman, but I've had my pants hemmed there and they did a great job. read more

I'll never return. I work around the corner, and with some hesitation, I brought a complicated alteration to them which was done very sloppily. Loose threads of many different colors, missing snaps, and there was a stitch sewn right into the skirt that made it impossible to physically put the dress on. The alternation looked really bad, and I know if I had brought it to a proper tailor, not a workbench in a dry-cleaners, it would have been much more presentable. They argued that it was exactly what I had asked for, but the work was sloppy, and there was no care taken to actually make it look good. I feel that they ruined my dress, and I will be taking it to my regular, more expensive tailor to fix it. I guess you get what you pay for. read more

will never use Bahman Cleaners again. I moved into Soho two years ago and used them exclusively. Only after an order was returned with a "favorite" shirt missing and a coveted pair of very expensive pants holed and shrunken beyond repair did I begin to take stock of my losses. I then realized that I had lost over 10 shirts over the course of several months, in addition to the occasional damaged article from time to time. It happened so gradually (one here, one there) that I didn't notice until the recent order. It's ashame that Bahman offered me nothing in the way of an apology, let alone even an admission that they could possibly be at fault. In fact, they went as far as to question my motive for calling and my building's integrity. They even went as far as to claim that there were many other satisfied customers in my building, a flat out lie. I followed up on this claim and learned that not only were there several UNSATISFIED customers, but also some that had been cheated for over a year by being charged someone else's dry cleaning to their credit card! The $2,000 in lost clothes I can deal with. The dishonesty and questioning of my integrity I cannot and will not tolerate. I now use other cleaners and would STRONGLY suggest that people discontinue or never use Bahman again. read more
