We moved in August 2025 with All My Sons and had a subpar experience. I was very transparent about everything that needed to be moved and even mentioned 3-4 men would probably be sufficient for our move. They sent out 2 movers and a move that should have taken 3-4 hours was stretched into 6 hours and we were charged multiple times during the job for the added on time they took. They also ended up breaking one of my plastic bins with my belongings inside and didn't offer any remediation for it nor did they notify me (I found it after the move was done). I wanted to make sure I fully understood just how bad the value was before I said anything. And honestly? I feel completely scammed and played. First of all, I was NOT given the actual details of how far these movers were from me. I was told they were "located in San Marcos." Okay... then why the hell were they driving to downtown Austin to move me? That made absolutely no sense, but I didn't think much of it at the time bc from my understanding that was the least of my worries. Then I get charged a random driving fee for them getting to me. I was completely blindsided. The guy expressed he explained this one the phone but no the fuck you didn't. I would have canceled right then and there. But Fine still thought max I would pay plus gratitude was 400. But the worst part was I was moving into an apartment literally about 10 feet away from where I was already living. I barely had anything to move, which I specifically told them. Yet they showed up with a MASSIVE truck that I didn't even need or use. Then somehow, after TWO HOURS of moving a very small amount of stuff literally 10 feet away, the bill came out to around $600 PLUS gratuity. $600. For moving my stuff 10 fucking feet. What exactly was I paying for? A luxury relocation experience? A parade? Were they supposed to do backflips while carrying my boxes? Maybe make me dinner afterward? Because for $600, the expectations apparently should've been Cirque du Soleil. And here's what really pissed me off. When I gave feedback and said that customers should at least be given a realistic estimate or ballpark price BEFORE agreeing to the service, the representative basically told me, in so many words, that if they told customers the actual price, nobody would book them. Well... fucking exactly. If I had been told beforehand that moving my small amount of belongings approximately 10 feet was going to cost me around $600, I would have said ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOT, BETTY CROCKER. I would have told those movers to turn that giant-ass truck right around, drive back to the North Pole or wherever the hell they came from, and stay in their own damn area. Instead, I was hit with random fees that were never clearly explained upfront. And when I mentioned that I had receipts and questioned the charges, suddenly the representative was ready to offer me a 10% discount. Oh, NOW there's flexibility? That makes the whole thing feel even worse. Customers should not have to argue, present receipts, or threaten to leave a bad review before suddenly being offered a discount. If the charges are legitimate, explain them clearly from the beginning. If they aren't, don't just throw random bullshit onto the bill and hope people pay it. And the attitude from the representative made everything even worse. Instead of actually listening to my concerns or showing even a little empathy, I was met with an attitude that was completely unnecessary and unprofessional. Maybe take a fucking Xanax, calm down, and learn how to speak to people who are rightfully questioning why they were charged hundreds of dollars for a move that took two hours and went basically 10 feet. I genuinely feel terrible for the actual workers because this is not their fault. To the movers: PLEASE QUIT AND FIND YOURSELF A BETTER COMPANY TO WORK FOR. You deserve better than working for a company that leaves customers this pissed off and apparently leaves employees to deal with the fallout. As for the representative: you were by far the worst part of this experience. Telling a customer that you don't give them the "legit" price because otherwise nobody would book you is an absolutely insane thing to say to someone who is already upset about being overcharged. I am beyond disappointed with this company. The lack of transparency, the unexplained fees, the ridiculous price, and the way my concerns were handled were completely unacceptable. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. If you're considering booking them, ASK FOR THE TOTAL PRICE AND EVERY SINGLE FEE IN WRITING BEFORE THEY TOUCH YOUR STUFF. I just had a very disappointing experience with All My Sons Moving & Storage. I called simply to get a quote and ask about scheduling. The representative told me they had availability on Friday but said they couldn't confirm a time. I politely explained that I would need the move to be at least in the morning and asked if that was possible. Instead of helping or clarifying, the representative responded rudely and repeated that they "don't have a time." I calmly said that if it couldn't be early in the morning, then no worries. Had them move us out of our ranch some time back. Bad experience. They didn't show until noon, despite the fact they drove only about 80 miles. Work progressed slowly, despite a good-sized crew of able young men. Still, we were loaded about 3:30-4PM. our destination was about an hour away. They then announced they would see me tomorrow. Everything was loaded, so we had to unload a few things to stay the night. I called their manager to inquire why we didn't drive and unload. He said he had to bring them back to the shop because it was late. It was late because they didn't arrive and begin work until well past noon. When I objected, he told me that they had control of all our property, inferring we could lose it or see it damaged. So, we delayed. The next day, they showed up late again. We had a fair bit of damage--more than most of our many military moves, but nothing too terrible. All could have been avoided with a bit more attention to detail and care. All my son's moving and storage company was all in all very disappointing and frustrating experience. I paid a $100 deposit upon initially booking my move out and was given no confirmation email, call, or text message validating my move out appointment, leaving me to wonder if I was being scammed. I had to call myself a few days later to confirm whether my appointment was scheduled or not. When I called, they briefly went over details and gave me a quote that was around $389. They went over how they charged by the hour and I was fine by that. The day of my move comes and they give me an 11 AM to 3 PM timeframe. No attempt was made to keep in contact with me and keep me updated on when exactly they would arrive. I again had to call myself and ask where they were at. they told me around 1 PM they would arrive. The driver didn't contact me until around 1:30 saying he was about 30 minutes away. 2 PM came around and he said he was right down the road and I waited another 20 minutes. They didn't arrive and start until 2:30. The movers themselves were fine and great and very respectful, but ultimately careless because during the move out, they left a hole in my wall from moving the furniture. Finally four hours later we are all at my final destination, and I am on the phone with the manager to pay out. He tells me everything altogether is going to be over $1000, but "luckily my $100 deposit is going towards this," at this point I am fed up and furious. This is $400 over what I expected to pay. He tells me it's because of a 15% fuel surcharge (that comes from the hourly total) and an additional labor cost on top of the hourly labor that was not gone over with me at the very beginning and if it was, it was speedily glossed over. Lastly, I'm on the phone with the claims department to report the hole in my wall and the person's attitude and tone of voice was very dismissive and uncaring and made the stress of everything even worse. What was explicitly agreed upon as a 3 hour job took 7 HOURS to complete, after having to tell the movers multiple times to please help me move more quickly, as I couldn't afford to pay over the 3 hours agreed upon. It was clear that they were going as slowly as possible and waiting in the truck while not doing anything in order to increase the time worked and get more money from me. For context, it was a small 1 bedroom apartment where all items (about 20 standard size boxes and some furniture) were already packed up and ready to go. I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this moving company, and I want others to be aware before booking with them. I called the day before my move due to time constraints and was told they had professional movers available. They arrived on time at 10 AM, but things went downhill quickly. Despite claiming to be professionals, the way they packed was careless and disorganized. They threw all my clothes together in piles, placed my bathroom trashcan next to my clean clothes and closet items, and used excessive amounts of tape and materials--without asking me first--and later charged me for it. I was also never informed ahead of time that I would be charged for things like gas and packing materials. I only found out about these hidden fees when they showed up and halfway through the move presented me with an iPad showing a total that was nearly double the amount I had been quoted. When I pushed back, they threatened to take my belongings to a storage unit instead--basically holding my items hostage unless I agreed to pay. While three of the four movers were kind, respectful, and understanding, the fourth mover took over 30 minutes just to reassemble my bed--even though the rest of the crew had finished their work. It felt like he was intentionally delaying the process so they could charge me for more time. He could have easily started earlier and finished with the others. I was told I'd be refunded for unused time, but that refund never came. The real issue here isn't the movers themselves (except for the one who dragged his feet)--it's the company's management and call center. I was never clearly told about additional fees, and their handling of the billing felt manipulative. After a heated discussion with the general manager, I later found out he had looked up my LinkedIn profile, which felt like a total violation of privacy and was extremely unprofessional. The company acknowledged this in writing but never once called, emailed, or reached out to apologize. Zero contact. They also damaged our property. When I filed a claim, they sent a settlement agreement with a gag clause that would have prevented us from speaking publicly. I refused to sign unless they removed it. They refused. My new preferred moving company! Daniel and Devonte were exceptionally efficient, strong and careful movers. They arrived on time, finished on time, and were friendly, helpful and communicative. I didn't think they could possibly work within the minimum time estimate given, but they did! My estimate was exactly accurate. I also received a texted, itemized invoice on my phone from the corporate office, to review, a few minutes before making final payment arrangements with Daniel and Devonte. Management was very friendly and communicative, by phone and text, before and during the move, checking in with me, and ensuring I had their direct contact information, at all times. It seemed everyone I spoke with, texted with, and met with were experienced service and moving professionals, who take pride in their work, and their customers' experience. I received estimates from many companies, having had difficulty reaching my usual movers, and seeing that their pricing was no longer competitive. All My Sons was by far the best value, the most transparent, efficient, experienced, equipped, organized and most communicative... both prior to and during the move. 1-Star Review I had a deeply disappointing and physically distressing experience with All My Sons Moving. Before booking, I clearly explained to the person who answered the phone (who I believe is the owner) that I am an elderly, handicapped woman with significant mobility limitations. I specifically stated that I would need the boxes placed in the rooms where they belonged because I am physically unable to move them afterward. I was assured this would be done. It was not. Instead, boxes were left scattered throughout my apartment with little regard to labeling or accessibility. Items marked "bathroom" were left in the kitchen or living room. Large five-foot-tall boxes were used to pack items that did not require that size. I am 5'3", and these boxes are extremely difficult for me to access, especially with arthritis in my hands, back, and multiple joint replacements -- including one recent surgery. To make matters worse, some essential items -- including my shower head and rubber safety mats -- are buried in these oversized boxes. Until I can locate them, I am unable to shower safely. I had to physically push boxes aside just to reach my bathroom and kitchen. Additionally, instructions for accessing the apartment complex were clearly provided in advance. The movers ignored those instructions, attempted to use the wrong gate, and then insisted there was no way to enter, despite being told exactly how to do so. From the beginning, they were dismissive and unwilling to listen. The cost was also far higher than expected for a short-distance move between nearby apartments -- more than three times what I have paid in similar moves in Houston. This was not simply an inconvenience; it created serious physical hardship and unnecessary pain. Given my medical condition, proper placement of boxes was not a luxury -- it was essential. At one point I saw a lightbulb just left out that they had on their truck. I am horrified by the damage and lack of respect for my things. They "packed" up boxes by stuffing items they had broken yet did not inform me of, but then leaving said boxes open and just thrown into the storage unit. I am so disappointed. One of the worst moving experiences I've ever had. The guys were nice, but that's about all that went right. While they didn't seem to be obviously stoned/high, a vape fell out of one of the guys pockets when he went to grab his keys. They must've been high because the rest of the move was rough. I watched them spend 30 minutes pretending to carefully wrap a couch just to try to force it through a hallway it obviously did not fit into. My new couch is damaged, my new wall is damaged and it was all entirely avoidable. These guys were NOT professional movers. I've moved plenty of times and it was obvious. I regret not reading the reviews before booking with this company. I was given a moving window from 11 AM to 3 PM and stayed in contact with the coordinator throughout the day. While I appreciated the communication at first, things quickly went downhill. At 3 PM, I was told the movers would arrive in 30 minutes. Then, at 3:20 PM, they called to say they'd be another hour. In reality, the move didn't start until 4:30 PM--1.5 hours late, after we had already wasted the entire day waiting. To make matters worse, as soon as they arrived, the movers immediately demanded tips, citing the fact that it was a weekend. Nowhere on the company's website did it state that weekend moves required mandatory tips, making this completely unprofessional. Once at the new place, one of the movers dropped a dolly on the tile floor, breaking two tiles. I heard the impact, yet neither mover acknowledged the damage. Instead, they tried to hide it and, when confronted, blamed it on a rock. Only after I insisted did one of them reluctantly take a photo, brushing it off as "weird." It wasn't weird--they dropped a dolly. After the move, I immediately called the company to report the experience. I was on hold for an hour, despite their listed business hours. I tried calling multiple times and was repeatedly brushed off. Additionally, despite updating my email with them twice, they still got it wrong. I had to call just to receive an invoice and never received a signed contract despite requesting it. I looked at Yelp reviews after the fact and emailed the woman Marie who has been posting on each of these reviews. That email was wecare@allmysons.com. The response to my email was automated and impersonal. There was no point in communicating with Marie or any other All My Sons employee. Emails to multiple other employees, including Lucas Harvey and Amber Bach, went ignored. They dodged my specific questions and ultimately everyone pushed me to file a claim. I went through the claims process just to put this disaster behind me, but the entire experience was a nightmare. I cant recommend this moving company. Convincing me other moving companies get over on people is the exact thing that was done to me. I moved from 280 miles away to Dallas in January and didn't pay nothing close to this. When I reached out still no one contacted me. Teach those who give calls to customers training in customer service skills. Telling a customer "we will get to you when we get to you" is very unprofessional. The call ended with him hanging up without saying much after trying to talk me out of it. Prior to this, the customer service was atrocious. I had asked for details on prices and specifics, to which I got snarky responses as if they had something better to do. "All of that information is in the email," I was told. After the call, I went to check the email from back in October; none of the questions I asked were answered in that email. I also paid a fee upfront and never got an email confirmation or any invoice, so now I wait to see if they will refund it or act like that was never paid, since there is no proof. We booked them quite a ways out and spoke at length with their salesperson. I also spoke with their manager to work out some details since our complex was paying. I was told we were all set, we received multiple emails telling us how to pack and were told around two days before the move, they'd reach out and let us know arrival time. Today, one day ahead of our move, a person I've never talked to before wants to speak to me to 1) tell us how to pack, 2) ask where to park and 3) get payment information. I've already gone through 1 & 2 with sales, a manager and they've been prepaid. She says, "unfortunately, my system doesn't show that so I need to speak with you or cancel" I told her if the move was cancelled they could expect a lawsuit. The manager then called and cancelled us. For being threatening. But I guess threatening to cancel is not a threat? This organization is way over the top and clearly not a "local" moving company. Heed the warnings in other reviews! We moved from a 650 sq. ft. apartment near downtown to a house 9 miles away in North Austin. The move was scheduled to begin in an 8 am to 9:30 am time window, and the two guys sent to us called at 8am sharp to let us know they were on their way. The caller sounded very polite, and I anticipated with their timely start, we'd have the whole task wrapped up by noon. At a rate of $159 an hour, that seemed like a good deal. Upon entering our apartment complex, the driver of the moving truck (which was a standard Penske, not branded with "All My Sons" logo design, so maybe they're renting their trucks?) proceeded to hit and drag another resident's parked car. This wasn't calculated into our moving time, and we weren't charged, but it did mean the movers were on the phone with various entities trying to sort out their next steps for about 30 minutes. Plus, watching a guy about to handle our belongings wedge a moving truck into the front of a Nissan Rogue kind of diminished our confidence in their abilities in general. As other reviews mentioned, these dudes were young but SLOW. We had nothing for them to pack in boxes, only furniture and a few blue IKEA moving bags we needed them to pick up and load. My husband (who is 33 and in decent shape but not an athlete) was absoluely lapping these guys. He easily made more trips back and forth to their truck than they did. Like he would pick up a bag, take it to the truck, load it, and come back to the aprtment before one of the guys could even pick up an identical bag. They were on their phones constantly, but that could have been to continue mitigating the parking lot accident. Ultimately, even with my husband actively helping them the entire time, the truck wasn't loaded and headed to the new house until 11:45 am. Once at the house, we were prompted to sign off on the process, at which point we learned (as other reviews have also stated) that the cost is exorbitantly higher than what they quote you. We were charged $1,056 in total. That total is nowhere near what we expected after planning over the phone with representatives and having everything initially loaded, so it felt pretty shady for them to tell us the real cost once they had all of our stuff held hostage in the truck. At that point, we just wanted the truck unloaded so we didn't haggle, but the costs do not align with what they advertise. For example, I was told moving material would be included but $60 worth of our total bill was tape and mattress bags alone. Looking at the invoice, we were charged $675 for labor, which was never mentioned as a billable factor...so what was the discussed $159 hourly rate for? Around 1 pm everything was off the truck, and despite explaining where pieces of furniture should go inside the house, several items were just left in the garage. In the process of unloading, several of our items were minorly busted and damaged. Nothing was completely destroyed, and little dings happen, we get that, but they were actively attempting to hide the evidence. Since the move, we've found small pieces of broken off furniture swept under other things or tucked in random nooks. Again, small things happen, but it sure feels shady to not communicate that at the time. We were also hassled pretty hard for a tip, which we didn't even want to give after seeing the final cost, but they insisted the tip went directly to them, not a corporate entity, and we didn't want to seem like assholes. Of course, if we'd been aware of some of the item damage, we might have felt more empowered to decline. All in all, everything was moved, and nothing was irreparably damaged (sans our former neighbor's car) but given the amount that my husband had to physically participate, the length of time taken, and the crazy inaccurate pricing quotes, I absolutely would not recommend this moving service to anyone. read more

Don't hire them. In 2024, two of their employees stole about $13,000 worth of our belongings during a local move. The company did nothing to help, forcing us into court. We won back our losses, but only after a lengthy, costly battle. One of those employees is now indicted in Travis County, TX for the theft. read more

Appallingly unprofessional, so incompetent the move got canceled before the movers even showed up. The manager shows open contempt for his customers. Move yourself before considering these people.
