We called Baja Boyz from the side of the Hwy, 8 hours away from home. We didn't know anything about them, we just called the first tow company that was close to where we broke down. To our surprise, they sent a tow truck out immediately. We still needed to figure out where to take our car but it turns out, they also have an auto repair shop. Our car was fixed the next morning and for a very reasonable amount. We are so grateful to them. You really never know what is going to happen in that kind of situation but they were friendly, honest, and very helpful, we couldn't have had a better experience. read more

If I could give no stars I would. They are the most unprofessional business I've ever dealt with. They make there prices as they go. My car was there total of 40 hours! They charged me for 3 days and also my car was 5mins away from there business and they charged me 2 hours of labor lying saying I was 40 miles away. I am disgusted with this place. But since that's the business there in and they are grimey I couldn't do anything about it except pay the fee To get my car! This is my first ever yelp review and I had to write it because wtf?? is up with the negative reviews. Full disclosure: I brought up I was surprised by the negative reviews to the owner (who had come out to help me with my car). He mentioned that he thinks some people confused his business for another one and asked me to leave a review of whatever I thought my experience was (and no, I did not get a discount for this or ask for one, I was too frazzled by this whole situation and texting my mom to reassure her that, no, I hadn't died in the dessert). My car broke down on the way to San Francisco and I was already stressed out of my mind traveling between cities during COVID - I'm worried about COVID and keeping my family safe while traveling between school and other work commitments. Unfortunately, paying for the "gold star" AAA service never crossed my mind while dealing with school, family, work, etc. I asked my friends for some advice (we all make this same commute for school) and one of them told me about Baja Boyz - I looked them up quickly and I was a little hesitant given the incredibly stellar reviews talking about how nice/competent this business was and then the POLAR OPPOSITE other reviews talking about how rude/unprofessional they were???? I called and THEY WERE THE NICEST PEOPLE EVER. They asked me what was going on and said they would be out in 30 min (leaving me just enough time to squeeze out some angry, sad tears in my car from all the stress). And they were - in 30 min - at my car helping me figure out what was wrong. Turns out it was an easy fix and they charged me a very very fair price that I can only imagine is so much cheaper then AAA would have asked for. THANK YOU!!!!!! I'm going to keep their number forever and feel so much safer doing this hellish commute. We are here visiting family and had a very slow leak in a tire...took it to Ramona Tire Service in Indio. After an hour, we were told they couldn't fix it. The next morning, the tire was flat! We put on the spare and took the tire to Baja Boyz, and the tire was fixed in less than 15 minutes! Thank You!!! read more

After a very reasonably-priced tow to their place, they were able to get us going again. While waiting for a part (for our Range Rover) they fed us lunch! Because a needed thermostat wasn't available for a couple of days, they suggested leaving the thermostat out so we could safely get the 150 miles back to LA.
