If I ever needed a reliable tow company with integrity and good customer service, Southwest Towing definitely wouldn't be it. On Friday night, I heard a very loud noise in front of my house. When I went to check, there was a huge Southwest Towing truck pulled all the way into my driveway. I initially thought they had the wrong address. I witnessed the driver, in a light green shirt, make a U turn in my driveway and back out very slowly, as numerous, dark, tire tracks were left on my property. I drove down the street to the house where he towed the Kia Soul and confronted the tow truck driver about trespassing on my property. I was met with ignorance, as if he didn't hear me at first, or chose not to. I asked him if there was a reason why he was trespassing on my property to make a U turn. His response was that he needed to turn around, then he mumbled profanity under his breath (b*tch). I told him that he was trespassing on private property and that if he needed to turn around, he needed to go around the block. I also told him that I took photos of his truck (said he didn't care). What I think he failed to realize is that I caught him on camera. When I asked him for his name to report this incident to Southwest Towing, he stated "it's none of your God damn' business" and said it was fine if I contacted the sheriff's department; that is exactly what I did, with a file number to prove. If this is the type of employee that Southwest Towing chooses to employ, I'd stay far, far away! read more

Excellent, courteous and professional care... I made an appointment to have my "Great White" 1974 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible towed just a couple blocks to my mechanic. I have used another company several times in years past, but I asked my mechanic which company he might recommend; without hesitation, he said "South West Towing!" I was still nervous about having "my baby" towed (first time!), but Pablo put my fears to rest and we got her safely at the mechanic's garage in a matter of minutes. I was very pleased with the professional and friendly service by Mike Vazquez. I had called for roadside assistance via Geico, my vehicle insurance, and they contracted with Southwest Towing in Cathedral City. Mike was very patient explaining the many questions my nine-year old grandson asked him in regard to our flat tire. My vacation trip to Desert Hot Springs, California, did not go as planned. I decided to drive my beautiful 22-year-old Volvo S70 T5 with nearly a half-million miles on it from Sacramento, an eight hour drive. Six hours into my splendid fast flowing trip, at the foot of the Grapevine on Interstate 5, my baby started misfiring with a noticeable decrease in power. With my check-engine light flashing I called my Volvo dealer in Sac and he gave me some likely scenarios strictly from speculation and experience. I pushed through another two hours and arrived at my luxury spa in Desert Hot Springs to begin my fasting retreat and vacation---Volvo still kicking, barely. The next day, I drove my very roughly-running sports sedan to nearby Volvo Cars Palm Springs for diagnosis and hoped for repairs. Sadly, no repairs were possible short of a complete engine replacement! I spent the rest of my vacation week determined to put this stressor out of my mind and relax in the gorgeous setting I was taking in. At the end of the week, I called AAA for pricing on a 505-mile tow from the Palm Springs Volvo dealer to Niello Volvo in Sacramento. I have AAA Premier which pays for several free 200-mile tows per year, so 305 miles short of free. They wanted $9 per mile for the remaining 305 miles---$2,745! So, I called South West Towing (not a AAA partner), recommended by Palm Springs Volvo, and spoke with Roger. He was patient and understanding as I explained my situation with him. I asked for a flatbed tow for 505 miles on a Sunday. He assured me that one of his drivers would probably take their normally free Sunday to help me get my car and myself home. Roger called back a short while later with the good news that Daniel was willing to work Sunday for the trip up and Monday for the long drive back. Roger offered this for $2,750 without any AAA inclusion. He explained South West Towing had to provide Daniel with a hotel room and incidental costs as part of the price. I recognized immediately the great deal Roger was providing in lieu of AAA wanting to charge me the same price for only part of the trip! The drive up took over nine hours with a couple stops and we had to drive slowly through a number of heavy duty thunderstorms. It was actually quite beautiful. Daniel and I talked nearly the entire time. He is a young father with a good heart and made my otherwise stressful task a very pleasant one. We made it in one piece, safe and sound, enriched by the whole experience. As I said good-bye to Daniel with a tip, I sincerely thanked him for making my life a little easier that day, and for bringing myself and my Volvo home. Unfortunately a very near and dear friend of mine had an accident today. He is not covered by any towing insurance/program. I am. But that doesn't transfer to anyone else.. Called several towing "outfits" and many of them said that due to #coachella traffic (masses of people leaving the area after the festival is over), that they would not be able to help me. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Not the answer I'm expecting. So... South West Towing has 5 star ratings and I decided to give them a call (out of desperation of course). They came through like no tomorrow, and in fact... the other party who was involved in the accident, they called under their insurance plan and lo and behold (!), the same towing company showed up for both parties! I had cancelled the tie from my insurance and this guy came out and towed my vehicle anyway didnt contact me on phone text or come to my door to get.my keys nothing. He actually pulled my vehicle back by the hitch which pulled it out from the truck and the metal tore. There is other damage as well as I drive it's making a burning smell now and drives funny. However nobody wants to take responsibility.....I would not EVER use this towing company personally I tried to call and talk to owner he said he towed it and he told me what do you want for me to buy you a whole new vehicle. I would give these people a 0-star rating if I could. I got them through Geico. It took them half an hour longer than they said they'd take to get a guy out to me. Then I get a phone call from them and their guy asks me where I'm located. We took a sturdy dirt road off the main road to get to a campsite, but we turned in the wrong spot and ended up in a pit of sand. So we're 2 feet off this dirt road. The words "dirt road" completely scared this guy who has a TRUCK for towing. He decided to cancel on me after I waited 2 hours for him to show up. My phone's dying, we don't have any water. This guy's too much of a baby to even come see the dirt road for himself because he's afraid he'd get stuck, even though -- mind you -- I'm driving a two wheel drive bug and got down there easily. They didn't even ask for my latitude and longitude, just cancelled as if I'm not in trouble. TLDR; DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. They will leave you hanging. read more

I was trying to get a tow for my father who needed a tow. I called for a quote and they said $70 for a 2 mile ride. I wanted to shop around some more so I called a couple other places. My girlfriend accidentally called them as well because we were both calling around. When she asked her how much it would be for a 2 mile tow, she very rudely responded "didn't you just call?" Taken back I explained to her how we were both calling around and may have called the same place. She then continued with her attitude and was very short. I had to write this review it was WELL deserved My son was just in a car accident it was his first car and he had been struggling with issues I won't go into detail but he needed to get his life together. His car was towed to Southwest towing by CCPD and my son decided to finally go into a program to hopefully help better himself and work together his problems. The owner of Southwest, Miles, was so caring and understanding that even after my sons car had sat there for over a month racking up storage charges well over $1200, Miles dropped all the charges! He only charged my son the Tow fee and CCPD fee of $295 He basically took off $1000 in fees to help my son because he understood that he was trying to get his life together I can't even tell you how grateful I am to Miles and his heart of gold, he's seriously a great guy and should be honored for what he did for my son read more

After an extremely frustrating morning drive with my wife in her 57 T-Bird & me following her on my Harley to Palm Desert from San Diego and than it happened...my wife's classic 57 started to over heat on Hwy 111, Great..Now what do I do, I looked up a towing company and found South West Towing and asked them if they knew how to tow a classic car. Stupid me now, I watch them load my wife's 57 on the flat bed and treated it like it was there baby & not only did they do a great job, they offered both of us a nice bottle of well needed cold water with a business card attached and thanked us for calling them. The next day, I called my dealership, and they recommended South West Towing. South West Towing gave me a much better price, which was less than $100 more than it would cost me to rent and fuel a truck to do it myself, and was much quicker, easier, and safer. First tow was from 29 Palms to a dealership in Palm Springs. Second tow (Different Vehicle) bought particular kudos to driver Roger Higgins who is completely conversant with what you can and cannot do with a 2018 German car that will not get into neutral due to a dead battery.
