Needed a golf cart towed today to my home after purchasing from someone. Didn't have a method to get it home but R&R had me covered. I HIGHLY recommend R&R Towing. My boyfriend and I got our econoline van stuck in some soft sand on BLM land in Joshua Tree. We had 2 dogs with us and the heat was getting worse and worse throughout the morning, so we decided to call it quits. We checked about 5 other businesses in the area, and everyone was booked or had longer waits, not to mention the people on the phone sounded stressed and unwilling. Russ, on the other hand, was empathetic, concerned, friendly, and constructive with finding a way out for us, even when he was busy. I appreciated his flexibility and willingness to just be a Good Samaritan and help us in the heat with our dogs. I broke down on the 10 freeway going east towards Scottsdale Arizona just outside of Indio. Two women in a vehicle by themselves on the side of the road not knowing where we were was stressful enough. Jose was referred by auto club. He showed up in a fantastic, looking vehicle as nice as it possibly could be, he recommended a local station that was able to get me back on the road within an hour. He was kind understanding, and just an amazing gentleman from start to finish. There was a flash flood (enough rain where you couldn't even see the sidewalks), and my car suddenly stopped in the middle of a 5-lane street. My car would not turn on. Police called this tow company (R & R Towing). Towing guy arrived in 30 minutes; pretty good response time considering their main location. Since my car is mostly electronic, the brakes were locked. Tow truck driver was nice enough to let me sit in his truck as I had my car towed to my house. I was given the option to tow it to the yard for free with all insurance (as he stated) or pay him for towing it home. Luckily, my insurance covered a tow anywhere (reimbursement after I submit a claim). As tow truck was at my house, I saw the tow truck driver write the receipt. Tow truck is paid for initial tow and total time. Tow truck driver looked at his watch and said that total time was exactly one hour, so I wasn't getting billed the next hour; I thought he could've exactly written one minute over and charged me more, but he didn't. Total cost was $240. Well worth it given the weather conditions. Tow trucker driver was super nice too. read more

Sorry this review is a little late, Russ. Russ is the man! He was working on a Sunday and came and pulled me out of a sand bar in near Joshua Tree. This was after multiple failed calls to my insurance provider, rental car company (I had rented a RAM 1500), and other tow companies. Then Russ came along with his custom built 4x4 tow truck and pulled that damn RAM truck out in seconds. This was after spending 2 days trying to dig the truck out of the sand with shovels etc. To make a long story short, Russ has me back on the road in 2 hours, and got the car back to the rental place long before it was due. Lastly, the price was unbeatable. He only charged me $500, when he really spent more than 2 hours on the whole process (250/hr for 4x4 tow). Fair, respectable, and hard working. Russ is a very compassionate person and saved our family off interstate 10 freeway shoulder where we were stuck for over 3 hours with semi trucks and traffic zooming past us the entire time and with 60 mph winds making it a very treacherous worst scenario breakdown!! The passenger side tire on our tow dolly behind our RV blew out and shredded when driving to Arizona. Russ first found us tires from towing storage that might work and then went to Yucca Tractor Supply and purchased the correct replacement and brought us the tire we needed on the freeway. Jeri (yes, a man) at R&R Towing was truly my knight in shining armor. My two 16yo daughters and I were traveling in a U Haul, towing our van, on our way from the Phoenix area to the Seattle area. Since it was just the three of us girls, I purposely chose I-5 for it busyness as I felt it was safer than the shorter route through Boise. We had planned on staying that night in Loma Linda, only 70 miles from where we broke down. But break down, we did. The sun was in our eyes, so the girls put up the sun protector as I attempted to get ahold of U Haul. The sun was setting, and where we were, the trucks come barreling down, through a curve where we sat at the end of. It took about an hour to get U Haul to fully respond. The result was kudos for U Haul in that my representative understood the seriousness of where we were sitting and escalated to a non-U Haul "approved" vendor, R&R Towing due to our situation. Thank God, because if Jeri had been 15 more minutes, I'd likely have been calling 911 to avoid feeling like a sitting duck. But he arrived in time! The transmission on the truck was shot, so he followed me, caution light flash galore, down the hill to a truck stop. But it didn't stop there. He went on to argue with U Haul on what he thought needed to be provided us "ladies in distress"! The result was him leading us to the local U Haul, helping us lock up the truck, and escorting us to a local motel only a block away. He went so far as to check with the manager that there was a vacancy! The result was? I felt like he took care of us as he would his family! Absolutely no better or worse. I felt cared for and .... may I say "loved"? I have only PRAISE for Jeri and R&R Towing. They assisted me and my daughters when we felt very vulnerable. read more
