Parking we were already there for the day so it was in the garage. If you eat there they validate your parking but idk how much you get off. Service was a little slow from the waitress herself but the guy in the front was very efficient and prompt. They probably should have had him taking the orders. Ceviche was decent. Burrito bowls were good especially the steak BUT they served us in rusted bowls. Like I thought it was just the rim but alas it was the bottom which I didn't even see until I took a big scoop for a bite. I did say something to the bartender who said she would tell the owner they needed new bowls. I literally fed my child rust which I get it, it's just iron oxide but you know what? We walked in not sure if we order at the bar or at the table since they don't have a host stand. We asked and we can pick any table, the server does take our order. Well came here last night on a Thursday and surprise it's Happy Hour all day Thursday including the HH bites! Stuck with the cantina $5 HH frozen margarita which was good and a ordered the chicken cone and fries from the HH bites for $12. But for $12 you get an assortment of boneless wings sauces up to your liking and fries crisped to a golden perfection! Def a plate to share for two! We also had the tower nachos for $10 during HH. We arrived at the restaurant around 7 and we were seated right after which was about the only highlight of me and my family's experience. Our server (The guy in the photo) was just the whole time. The first red flag was when my mom asked for a virgin pina colada, and after he informed her the ice machine was broken he suggested, and even AFTER my mom declined that he STILL kept suggesting the alternatives. Second red flag was none of us could even get our drinks without him gossiping about how the Bar Louie Next door to them had borrowed their blender and broke it so now they have "beef", and even more inappropriate, he started talking about how his ex BOYFRIEND works nextdoor to that Bar Louie's and he "did him wrong" and was like spelling out cuss words right in front of my 16 year old sister and 8 year old neice so they could "understand" YUCK. I guess he was trying to win us over so he could get a tip but that did the opposite. Reason why I mentioned we arrived at 7 Earlier is because we didn't get our food until an hour later at 8:02. And even AFTER he just kept piling up on the mistakes, my aunt had to ask him to bring some sauce for her tacos 8 Times before he finally brought it! And by the time it got here, her tacos were ice cold. My mom had originally ordered a quesadilla and 2 chicken tacos which got here 7 minutes AFTER we all got our food at the same time, by the way it was only her quesadillas that got here, the tacos NEVER came. Then it was finally time for the bill and the cherry on top was him not taking off the messed up orders until we asked for the manager to. Food was ok, not something to travel for but good for lunch but that plus all the trouble makes this place a 2/5 stars. read more

They have $5 margaritas, which can come frozen or on the rocks and taste more expensive than they are, lots of food discounts, including my favorite the nachos! These things were loaded with chicken, cheese, sour cream, beans, pico, multiple types of salsa... they're much higher quality than any restaurant nachos I've gotten before. They could easily feed 3-4 people. read more

Came with some friends for dinner and drinks before a concert. It was very busy but so was everywhere else on the waterway and the wait wasn't that bad. I got a large frozen margarita with mango chamoy flavor. It was too sweet for my taste and very strong (I usually like regular margs over frozen). For food, I got a taco plate with the Barbacoa taco and a grilled shrimp taco. The barbacoa was pretty good with a decent serving of meat that was tender. I liked the shrimp taco a lot, which had large shrimp with a yummy sauce. There was a jalapeño sauce on the side which was good and definitely gave everything a kick. The rice and beans are pretty standard, nothing crazy special but executed well. Overall I thought for $13.50 the price for the plate is ok for the waterway. Staff is friendly and comes by to check on you frequently. Good option if you're on the waterway looking for a casual meal. They usually have happy hour but it isn't offered if there's a concert. read more

The Waterway District close to Cynthia Woods in The Woodlands is an awesome place to go out. There are a bunch of restaurants and bars along this beautiful stretch so it's easy to bar hop while also taking in the beauty of the waterway (especially at night when everything is lighted). Baja Cantina is a Mexican restaurant that turns into a bar in the evenings. I stopped by on a Saturday for drinks and I didn't have any food so I can't can't comment on that. While Baja has a colorful interior, along with table top seating and seating in the bar, we sat on their spacious patio. There was a DJ playing a mix of rap and Latin music which added to the ambiance. Service was pretty good throughout and we had a couple of rounds. One of the highlights was this drink served in a cauldron of sorts. I forget the name but it has tequila and it's a largeeee drink. Yeeeee. Baja gets pretty hype with the DJ. A bro fell on his head and performed some sort of failed acrobatics. A couple performed a synchronized dance. Drinks with free entertainment. Can't complain. The only real downside for me is that they only have two private bathrooms which isn't enough when capacity is high. I'll definitely have to return at some point to try the food! read more

The location is on the waterway with indoor/outdoor seating (fans and heaters outside) which hard working staff members. The food has always been hot when we received it. The server happily got me another which then ended up being fine. My friend and I shared the stuffed French toast and I had the bacon and egg tacos. The tacos were delicious and the French toast was pretty good although really sweet. My friend ordered the Baja burrito but the server got her order wrong and brought her the wrong burrito. I think the issue with the service was that they were understaffed and our server had too many tables to handle. This place was really nice to stop by. I was here once before a few years ago I don't stay in the area but today was the day lol. Me and my mom stopped in to get a bite to eat before going back home and this was just the perfect spot to be at. We ordered 6 tacos so we can have 3 each and the food was delicious as well as the drinks. The service at that bar was just as good as the food, I was able to notice the manager on the floor working just as hard as everyone else which definitely make a difference in a restaurant. I love it here! I've been here twice in the past 3 weeks for a post nursing lab snack. The first time we came was around 12 PM on a Thursday, it wasn't that busy but there was a crowd. The service was amazing! I got a Baja Margarita which was delicious and a Birria Quesadilla which I LOVED. The second time we arrived a few mins before opening on a Friday it was about 14 of us eager to celebrate our last exam in a class with drinks. The Mexican Candy Shot I ordered was delicious but strong, it caught me off guard but did the job. I got the Birria Taco, Chorizo Taco, Baja Fish Taco with Side Rice & Beans and of course the Birria Tacos blew my mind. I'm not sure who controls the music but they are always on point!
