I was surprised to find a location in Norco close to my home as I frequent this restaurant for lunch right by my work in Irvine. As far as budget friendly fish broiler chain goes, I find Baja fish taco and California fish grill 2 of the absolute best. This location didn't disappoint. Everything cooked to perfection. I've been coming here for over ten years! This is my favorite place to have fish tacos. The food is absolutely delicious and always fresh! I love their blackened fish tacos. Always fresh and the quality of the food is outstanding. The guacamole and salsa is so yummy and flavorful! I always get black beans and salad with my taco, however I've had their pinto beans and rice too and they're very good as well! After I placed my order on 9/21/2025, my wife and I decided to eat at the patio on the side. Upon opening the door to exit, I almost slipped due to some water by the exit... I returned to warn management of the implication this would cause their business and approached a purported manager... I explained the situation so that no one would slip and he commented that he had already mopped! I indicated again that I had almost slipped and to have someone mop up the water. He indicated that he had just finished mopping and that if I had noticed the yellow warning sign to be careful (the yellow cone was outside in the patio, how would I have seen it from the inside?). Anyway, the purported manager said that the mop was wet.?!?! I immediately went to the restroom to get paper towels to place on the small puddles of water to avoid a slip-and-fall incident, something this manager did not care about... If you haven't had their food, you must. Everything I have had is delicious. Shrimp tacos are the best. The asada is delicious. They use real asada meat-flap meat. It tastes like they use charcoal to grill. My favorite the one taco, one enchilada combo both with asada meat. Black beans and white rice. Worth every penny. Big portions, fulfilling. read more

I enjoy coming here but these chips ? Hard no !!! and im giving you 2 stars in hopes to gain your attention. When you first changed the chips i thought they were stale , only to switch them out to a fresh batch and chew on the same disappointment. Why i ask , did you fix what wasn't broken? You improved outdoor seating, even added potato tacos and tortilla soup to the menu with success but the switcher-a-roo with the chips is a fail. I absolutely love the salsa here and it marriaged quite well with the previous chips, light and crispy and saltya chip lovers dream... but my heart is broken every time i order a batch of chips theyre giving the terrible toos: TOO HARD , TOO THICK , TOO NASTY . They have a salsa bar with all the salsa and toppings you could want for your tacos. The service is good, they come around and pick up unused plates. Service is always on point. No matter who you're helped by it's always kind and patient. Restrooms are clean. Most importantly... The food is great. All the plates, tacos and burritos are good. (I'd steer clear of the nachos though) Inside and outside seating with TV's that are always playing the whatever big game is on at the moment makes it a solid vibe. Love the fish burritos here! Back when I used to live closer to this location, I would visit quite often! Their blackened fish burrito is probably one of my favorites (get extra fish, you won't be disappointed!) Also, ALWAYS get their guacamole. It is delicious. I visited this location during COVID, and they have made a lot of adjustments for safety. They now will provide you two small salsas and one large salsa with your order instead of the self serve that was previously set up. Which is great, since I loveeee their pico. As we were looking for a good lunch place on our drive to Corona, CA, we craved some Baja fish tacos (in general, not this restaurant). This is what came up so we drove some miles off the 91 to check it out. Menu seemed a bit fancy for a taco shop, so definitely seemed more enticing. We ordered the Ensenada Style tacos combo. ( I grew up going to Ensenada and have gone as an adult various times). The taco presentation was definitely solid. Nice fresh cabbage, two corn tortillas and a pretty savory salsa salad. I'll get back to the fish. The pinto beans were amazing, the rice was quite savory, specially for it being white rice. Ok, the fish. The fish was quite fish-stick(y).. how I wish it would have been more tempura style (BAJA STYLE) fish. The fish lacked flavor and and was more on the dry side. If I was to come back I wouldn't do that style, would certainly go more toward the blackened fish or even the charbroiled. Over all, very clean, extremely friendly staff. My son and I very much enjoy this restaurant. Can you give your order at the front, and they bring it to your table. There is a salsa bar that has delicious raw season and onions that I recommend. My go to item item is the Ensenada style shrimp taco plate with rice and beans. My son is definitely set on Carne Asada. This location does not except American Express. This is unfortunate. Stopped in for a quick lunch and although the food tasted fresh did not think it was worth the price. We ordered a shrimp bowl and a shrimp burrito and both were $17. The burrito by size alone was not worth the price. Both of them could of also had more shrimp in them for the price. Both hot salsas on the salsa bar were medium at best and overall I would say average at best. The cashier was friendly however and the service was quick. I have been spoiled with some of the best fish tacos while living in Colorado. I've spent years searching for an equivalent and we found Baja Fish Tacos. While not the same or as good as what we had in Colorado they were good enough and we visited them often while in Norco. Been gone for a few years and finally back in town. Was so excited to go back and get my fix. Unfortunately the tacos were nowhere near what I remember. Something has changed and I'm not sure if it was an off day but the fish was rubbery and the tacos no longer had the sauce they previously had. I've been coming to this place for over a year. I come here from time to time for lunch. Even when their line is long for ordering they're pretty quick in getting your food to you. I enjoy their customer service and their food. I typically order their unwrapped burrito with carne asada. It's the perfect ratio of green leafy salad to meat. It also includes cucumber and roasted corn which gives this salad a nice crunch. They make a delightful cilantro lime dressing that brings the flavors of the salad and the meat together for an enjoyable lunch. The portion is just right and the you can't beat the price. The restaurant is always clean and they bus your dishes. There is always a place to sit, whether you want to sit indoors or in their nice large patio. I've always been a big fan of Baja. Their food has always been on point, when they get the order right of course. My fiance's an even bigger fan as I know he eats there multiple times a month for lunch, whether it be with his company or friends. He and I are both a huge fan of the salsa they have because it has the perfect amount of smokey flavor and heat. A+ on their part for that salsa. My fiance loves their chicken nachos with extra melted jack cheese, If I wasn't lactose intolerant I'd devour his entire plate because it's just so good and filled with melty goodness. The entire thing comes on chips with beans, melted cheese, guacamole, sour cream and chicken(you have to pay extra for meat, otherwise they're about $6.00). I personally like their tacos, so I always get the two taco combo which comes with white rice and black or pinto beans. There's fish, chicken, carne asada and shrimp as your meat choices. I personally love the chicken and carne asada tacos. I've yet to try their fish tacos, which is ironic because it's called Baja Fish Tacos. I will soon though, because you can't pay me enough to keep me away from this place. Overall, decently priced for what you get, which are fairly large portions. My family and I love this place. Even though it's kinda expensive for tacos and other items. We frequent this place a lot. Tacos are $4 each and Burritos are $10. Wife and I ended up here for dinner tonight and spent around $30 for 3 tacos and 1 burrito. As I was eating my carne asada tacos, it felt a little crunchy and had a funny taste. I ignored it because I was starving. As I got to my 2nd tacos, again it was crunchy as well. After dissecting all the left over tacos, I find almost 50% of the meat were all burnt up. Of course I was disappointed but just ignored it and thought to myself that I would write this review. I don't think I'll be going back to Baja Fish Tacos until they get this right. That is the only thing I get from their Restaurant, I made my Mexican Friend try it and it was her first time and she loved it too, just like how they have it in Mexico she said. Whenever I'm in this area, Baja Fish Tacos is a must-stop for me! The food is delicious, the salsa bar is FIRE and everything is fresh! It's like the In-N-Out of Taco spots. No joke. It's almost always busy- but never slow. I've tried quite a few things at this spot and it's honestly all been super tasty. I do love getting the combo plate. It comes with a side of white rice and beans (black or pinto) and trust me- they're sooo good. The salsas at the bar are all pretty tasty too. Love the flavors and the Salsa. It can be a bit too spicy but green salsa is very good. They would get a 5 star if the Tilapia wasn't always so dry. I don't know what the deal is, I overcook Tilapia from Costco and it's still moist. This Tilapia is pretty dry and hard. It must be pre cooked and they heat it up in the grill again. The food was delicious and I appreciate the quality of the fish in my fish taco. The quantity of food was also good. Pricing: I understand that the price of everything is going up right now. The total cost was a bit more than I expected. I would suggest updating the menu online (specifically, the image of the menu) to reflect current prices. My husband and son each had a burrito (not the combo) and were charged $13.75 per burrito (The menu I looked at said $10 each).
