The Tostado with ground beef. Delicious and so filling. We definitely recommend this place.

I have followed this restaurant to three locations! Because I love their Mexican food. They're enchiladas so simple and delicious. Their tacos are great. Plus they always have soup which I love service is always outstanding. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I've never had a bad meal there ever! I would definitely recommend this place. It's small, but mighty!

Living in SoCal my whole life I have had a lot of Mexican food. It has been a while since I have had any that I had to finish the whole plate and stop short of licking the bowl. We ordered a lot. -California burrito was loaded with meat and guacamole, tasted amazing. -Taquitos were nice and crispy but not over done. Smothered in guacamole with rice and beans. -3 chicken and 3 carnitas tacos. All had great flavor and were tender. Well loaded. -2 green wet carnitas burritos. I couldn't stop eating it. Should have paced myself! I haven't had one this good in forever. Highly recommended! -albondigas soup. This was top tier. Large chunks of carrots, potatos, and meatballs. So good! Highly recommend! -Bean and cheese burrito. Can't go wrong with it. -chips and salsa (their red salsa is now my favorite) The staff was very nice when we came in to pick up our phone order. We even had to add a last minute bean and cheese that they cranked out fast! The inside has a more fast food restaurant feel than a sit down restaurant feel but there are tables. Over all I highly recommend giving Rancho Taco Shop a try to see for yourself! I know I will be going back.

3 Small Tacos ~ carne asada, chicken, and fried fish

Very clean and nice little family run restaurant with an extensive menu, broader in depth with the classics than one would expect. I opt to try the 3 Mini Tacos featured in the photo and of those? I prefer the asada. It's finely chopped, almost like ground beef, but flavorful (5/5). The chicken was solid too, tender shredded chicken with fresh lettuce atop it, the fresh green salsa worked well atop it (5/5). The one that didn't work for me quite as well was the fish as it was mostly fry batter and it was hard to taste the fish. These are mini tacos so maybe ordering something larger in size - yes, they have "Big Tacos" for double the price - might allow for more of the actual fish to be served. In any event, I hit it with the fresh lemon and it's fine (3/5). Rancho Taco Shop is a nice place with freshly served Mexican staples at very fair prices. Wish I lived closer to it!

Hands Down the Best Steak and Eggs Breakfast! I've been to several Breakfast Spots in the IE and no place has a better Steak and Eggs for the price! Service is quick and everything was fresh. Been here a few times and Never been disappointed.

The food here is delicious and must-have when you're in town. I would highly recommend trying the breakfast burrito and making it wet! It is a great family owned restaurant. 5 stars!

I ordered 3 carne asada tacos, 2 pollo tacos and 2 al pastor tacos. The carne asada and al pastor tacos were amazing. I would recommend both to anyone that tries tacos here. The pollo tacos weren't bad, they were shredded chicken that was very pretty juicy, but not a ton of flavor added to the chicken. They do have 3 good salsas to choose from, so that helped add flavor to the pollo tacos. They have a self-serve salsa bar with the 3 salsa and some carrots, radishes and green chilies. They offer 2 red salsas, one hot and one mild, and 1 green sauce. All three were great, I think the best way to pick which one to use should be based off the amount of heat you want. And if you get enough tacos, you should try all 3 of them. When I went in for lunch, all of the tables inside were filled, but the service was still quick, and the tacos were perfect when I got home with my order.

    Breakfast burrito

Ordered a Bacon Breakfast burrito for pick up over the phone. They gave me a regular breakfast burrito with everything that included Ham, sausage etc. when I got home I called them and they refused to take ownership of the mistake and denied me saying Bacon breakfast burrito. I called asking for a refund and they said the only way to do that is to return the burrito. I'm already inconvenienced with the wrong order and now they want to inconvenience me further by driving back just to drop off the incorrect burrito. Then they hung up on me . I get places make mistakes but the way these people handled it was very disappointing. Terrible service. Would not recommend.

Still, I was able to find a spot quickly. Walking in, there's a sign that says "Wait to be seated", but when the waitress came out, she said we could sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth by the window. I don't know how old this restaurant is, but I could tell that the booth we chose was really popular because the leather seats were so worn down that they had to patch some of the holes up. As soon as we were seated, we were immediately given menus, water, chips, and salsa. The salsa was really spicy, though, so as much as we love chips and salsa and would normally have finished it all off before our actual meal came, we could only eat half of it. Across from us was a big family of Latinos which for me was a good sign. After all, if they're Latino themselves, they could easily just make the same food at home, but if the food here was good enough for them to come here instead, then the food had to be decent. Since I'm vegetarian, I had to ask for them to not put meat in my enchilada, so the waitress just made it a cheese one. If you're vegetarian like me, there's not really much on the menu for us, but at least they're accommodating enough to leave the meat out if you ask. If you're vegan, you're really out of luck since it seems everything will have at least melted cheese on top. All of the food came out quickly and at the same time, which is appreciated since not all restaurants do that. In addition, the portions were big enough for us to eat most of it there, then be full enough to want to take the rest of it home, which makes up for the cost since it is a little expensive. Again, I don't know how old the restaurant is, but you could tell it's been aged through the years, like the paint is peeling off or splattered with what looked like salsa. Definitely a hole in the wall kind of place. On the other hand, if it's been around long enough to go through that kind of wear and tear, it's a testament to the loyalty of its customers. Plus, they do try to make it look nice with balloons, flowers, and flags. And they try to clean up the tables as soon as people are done eating. I just finished eating my leftovers and it tasted as good as it did when I ate it at the restaurant. So the food is good, the sizes, especially for the cost, are decent. Just know that the place is a little worn down, but the employees try their best to smile, be friendly, and quick to attend to your needs.

So when I…read morewas out hunting for a nail salon and spotted this gloriously authentic-looking location, I knew she'd absolutely plotz. Naturally, I turned it into a Friday‑afternoon surprise after running the kind of errands that make adulthood feel like a sport. From the moment we walked up, the place had us at hello: outdoor dining with its own bar, vibrant murals, Mexican décor for days, and that classic mission‑style ambiance that screams you're about to eat well. It was a whole vibe. Now, the hostess... bless her heart. She greeted us with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to work on a holiday, which was not exactly the warm welcome we hoped for. But then Angela, our waitress and resident ray of sunshine, swooped in and saved the day. She recommended the flauta, which arrived with a level of spice my taste buds immediately filed a complaint about. Angela didn't miss a beat and had the kitchen remake it to suit my bland little palate. Overall, it was a genuinely great experience, and we'll definitely be stopping by again. Rodrigo's remains Wife‑approved, and honestly, that's the highest Michelin rating in our household.

This was our family's first time dining at Rodrigo's, and we chose the restaurant to celebrate my nephew's 20th birthday. Unfortunately, the service we received from our server, Christina V., was disappointing and took away from what we hoped would be a special experience. When I asked Christina if the restaurant did anything for birthdays, she simply replied, "Just flan," and walked away. She never asked whose birthday it was, whether we would like the flan, or if I wanted her to put in a birthday request. I was surprised by the lack of interest or effort, especially since I was clearly asking because we were celebrating someone at our table. Throughout our meal, Christina was not very welcoming, engaging, or hospitable. At times, it honestly felt as though our table was a nuisance or that she had some sort of issue with us. We weren't expecting anything extravagant, just friendly service and a little acknowledgment that we were there celebrating a special occasion. Despite our experience, we still left Christina a 20% tip because we believe in tipping our servers. However, we left disappointed by her attitude and lack of effort in helping make my nephew's birthday lunch feel even a little special. The food may bring people into a restaurant, but the service is a big part of what makes families want to return. Unfortunately, for our first visit to Rodrigo's, the hospitality was lacking, and that was disappointing.
