    Chicken Burrito Is Good...
    J P.

Older gentleman with glasses should not be in customer service! He was rude and did not listen to what I was asking him. He kept talking over me and my friend and didn't care what we were saying. Very rude and grumpy! Plus side...There is a younger guy and a manager named JR. who are both great and pay attention to detail and they are both good to their customers. As usual food is good and the vibe / ambiance is chill...

    Chicken Tostada Salad

Bring in dinner for the granddaughters. They requested chicken quesadillas from Baja Fresh ($11.50). It has been years since I have eaten here but always had good experiences. I ordered the tostada salad with chicken and black beans ($11.50). Each meal comes with a small bag of chips. The quesadillas came with a very generous side of guacamole nad a side of sour cream. Portion size was way more than either of them could finish. Good taste and great value. My tostada salad was also quite tasty with a large portion of chicken (still warm), shredded cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, and black beans in a tasty crisp shell. Too large a portion for me to finish. Again, good taste and, at $11.50, great value especially for fast food.

"Ba da ba ba ba, I'm lovin' it" ---McDonald's has entered the chat--- Yeah, and THIS is how it went down. It was a beautiful day in January and after driving around aimlessly looking for something to eat on my lunch break, I just couldn't decide what to get, but I knew that my time was running out and I had to make a decision. And then suddenly, There. They. Were. The Golden Arches So I said to myself, screw it. A little burger, fries and a fountain drink never hurt anybody, so McDonald's, LFG! So I whipped through the parking lot, got in the drive-thru line and ordered my go-to meal. Yep! A Quarter Pounder with Cheese, a medium fry and a Dr. Pepper. And you know I asked for a sweet & sour sauce to dip those hot, perfectly salted McDonald's French fries into. (Lips to Mouth) Muah! The Chefs Kiss!!! Yeah, I know, I know. I've heard it all before! McDonald's is crap! McDonald's is bad for you!! I'd much rather go to In-N-Ou...ch! Hey! Who pinched me!? Anywho, just hear me out.... Cause sometimes, McDonalds just hits the spot, And you know it! This location is right off the freeway, teetering between W.H. & Calabasas with a 24 hour drive-thru all day, every day So, What you gonna do??

I use the McDonald's app, which offers many exclusive deals. Often times, there will be a deal for coffee. I was recently at the El Camino Shopping Center and decided to grab an iced coffee. This was the first time I stopped by this location. I used the app to order and went through the drive-thru to pick it up. Service was friendly. Overall process was super easy and simple!

We like that there are some more healthy and fresh options here when it comes to "fast food" compared to other restaurants. Me not being a burger person, I like that there are several chicken options. We also like getting the half and half side since my partner loves their onion rings and I go for the sweet potato fries.

Although I admit my wife and I come here at least every month. The value seems to be gone. Sorry Habit Burger Fans. Case and point, lunch today. Wife got the number one Char meal. Burger, fries, drink. $15.19. The Char is decent at best. Pre-cooked hamburger patty weight: 3.0 oz / 85g. I Googled it. Always cooked medium well. Not my preference. Would rather have medium rare or medium at the most. You can go to Longhorn Steakhouse and eat in a fairly nice newer restaurant with table service and get a full on Half-Pound Steakhouse Cheeseburger which includes your choice of of side, soup or salad for $11.99! Cooked to order! You can go to Chili's and get the 3 for Me deal. Oldtimer® Burger W/ Cheese. Again, Patty Weight (Pre-cooked): 8 ounces, cooked to order. Pick your beverage, starter and main for $12.99. What are we doing going to the Habit? There's no comparison. Today I took the bait and had to try the new Korean Sweet and Spicy Char from the new limited time residency menu by acclaimed chef Jet Tila. Nothing against Jet or Korean food but this did not work for me. It's too sweet and drenched with sweet and semi spicy sauce. A lot of it. Lot's of bacon too. This may not sound bad to some of you but I found it to be an overly sweet and salty eating experience. That's all you taste. It drowns out any flavor of beef and cheese. My wife said even before I ordered it, "You're not going to like it Jamie". Right again! I also got some onion rings for $4.99 and a drink for $3.49. The Sweet and Spicy Char was $10.39. That's $18.87 for my lunch. Thumbs up on the rings and drink. Thumbs way down on the Korean Sweet and Spicy Char. For the record, I love Korean BBQ. This is not Korean BBQ.

Some evenings begin with a plan…read more Others begin with a rattlesnake. After one of the most emotionally exhausting weeks our family has ever endured, we found ourselves laughing in disbelief after being chased away by a rattlesnake at Las Virgenes Creek. Sometimes life has a funny way of reminding you that the best stories are never the ones you plan. Still carrying that adrenaline--and the weight of everything the week had brought--we made our way to Mendocino Farms in Calabasas, hoping for nothing more than a peaceful dinner. What we found was something far more meaningful. Our little girl, Pinta, had just celebrated her 17th birthday. To most people she's "just a dog." To us, she's family... our little strawberry. She's been courageously battling health issues, and after days of worry, tears, and countless prayers, there was one tiny victory worth celebrating: She wanted to eat. Without hesitation, one incredibly kind young gentleman--whose name I wish I could remember--prepared a fresh chicken dinner especially for her. It wasn't extravagant. It wasn't complicated. It was simply... kind. And somehow, that simple act became the most important meal served in the restaurant that evening. Watching her happily nibble on fresh chicken, stop for a sip of cool water, then come back for another bite felt like watching hope return one mouthful at a time. My partner and I couldn't stop smiling. After days of wondering what tomorrow might bring, we were finally allowed to simply enjoy today. What struck me wasn't just one employee--it was the entire team. There was no feeling that we were inconveniencing anyone. No rushed interactions. No obligation. Just genuine hospitality. Every smile felt sincere. Every conversation felt personal. Every moment reminded us that great restaurants don't just feed people... They care for them. I often think businesses spend enormous amounts of time trying to create memorable guest experiences, when in reality they're created by people who choose kindness in moments no handbook could ever script. If someone from Mendocino Farms' leadership happens to read this, I hope you know something: Whatever culture you're cultivating in Calabasas is working. Your team didn't simply serve dinner. They unknowingly became part of one of our family's favorite memories. Years from now, I doubt we'll remember exactly what we ordered. But we'll always remember the night our little strawberry smiled over a plate of chicken... and how a group of strangers made us feel like we belonged. Some restaurants leave you full. The very special ones leave your heart a little fuller, too. Thank you, Mendocino Farms. Thank you for reminding us that kindness is still the finest ingredient anyone can serve.

OMG they were both very delicious and huge portion. We also shared the turkey avocado and the jalapeño salsa gave it an extra kick which was a great addition. Other sandwiches we ordered were also amazing. Definitely a place we would go back because it's healthy and the kids loved their food. The green drink and other fountain drinks were a little on the sweet side but we just added ice. All in all, I recommend this place. Enjoy!

So far I've had the patty melt, the avocado cheeseburger, and the double bacon cheeseburger, and every single one has hit. First off, the bacon deserves its own mention. Whatever bacon they're using is clearly top-tier quality. Thick, flavorful, cooked right, and definitely not an afterthought. No flimsy strips or skimping here. The burgers are big. Like, legitimately big. These aren't sad, flattened patties. They're hearty, filling, and actually justify the price. They also don't hold back on the cheese, which I appreciate. Everything tastes fresh, well-balanced, and made with care. What really surprised me, especially with inflation being what it is right now, is the value. Their combos are around $16-$17, and for that you get a large burger, a solid portion of fries, and a drink. And it's a fountain drink, not a can, which matters. You're not leaving hungry, and you don't feel like you overpaid. The fries are good, the specials are very reasonable for the quality, and they also have other drink options if you're not in the mood for soda. The vibe is another big plus. You can sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the people working there are genuinely nice. It really feels like a family-owned spot where customer service still matters. You're treated like a person, not just an order number. For anyone in the neighborhood looking for a good burger, good people, and a comfortable place to sit down and eat, this place is absolutely worth checking out. Oh, and yes, they do have restrooms, which always matters more than people admit. Overall, this is one of those places that gets the fundamentals right: quality food, fair pricing, and good service. I'll definitely keep coming back.
