I was heading to West Linn with a vegan friend. Ok, more accurately, she was supposed to pack a personal picnic for a remote event we were attending together. She did not do so and asked if we could stop. She spotted this location, saying she loved Baja Fresh! Sometimes it can be tricky finding a spot for her that actually offers vegan options. Baja Fresh, FYI, can make almost anything on their menu vegan for you!! We both were talking about the food having simple, clean ingredients without a bunch of grease or filler. Also, having food , we could bring as a picnic, not having it suffer shelf life is also great. As the driver and meat eater, I requested driver payment of a taco salad. My personal favorite is to get the shell on the side (avoiding it getting soggy), black beans + a side of the cilantro ranch dressing (I beg for a large container of it because I use it on salads at home)... I ask for them to do half shrimp and half chicken on my taco salad. I also spend the time waiting, just filling those little containers with salsa to go. I wonder if they would notice me bringing a large to go thing in... but I just empty all those little containers into one big container when I get home, usually... oh like you don't! My salad was delicious! I was only able to finish probably not even half... the rest was amazing when I got home from the park. My friend loved her burrito. And also got the chips and guac because why not. Something to definitely add: we both discussed that we needed to finish our guacamole first because it's so fresh and does not keep at all. We did just that and my salad kept very well for several hours. That's good because it's huge! read more

It's close by, so I'll very occasionally stop by for lunch. I hadn't been in a while and it seems to me they cleaned it up a bit and the place looked spotless, though of course it still has the same generic decor -- but not unpleasant. The servers were all great, getting my Burrito Mexicano with chicken to me quickly and with a healthy scoop of chips (I'm a sucker for them). The burrito was generally ok, more rice and beans than chicken (as usual), and some of the chicken was overly dry, but as a meal it was hearty --- and the salsa bar was well stocked with the usual 5 or so varieties, too. Baja Fresh isn't always the best Mexican option but there are worse places; the new menu is an improvement and the place is well run, so it's a decent place in a pinch. read more

The price is far more than it's worth! I paid $130 for 2 burritos that were supposed to have Impossible burger in them and there was barely any in them. Mostly beans, onions and sauce. The cheese quesadillas cost almost $60 by themselves for 5 people and consisted of a lot of corn chips on the side. The guacamole was standard yet the chips were bland at best. I was hoping to find a new place for Mexican food yet it's not here. If the cost was lowered for a fast food place I'd have been fine. Yet this price was close to the cost I spent on custom diner, for Italian and Thai the same day, all for a party. Guess what was left over and not eaten? I've been going to Baja Fresh for years especially during team sport season, grabbing, 5-6 kids at one time and heading over to get food. The last 3 times I've ordered the Diablo burrito, and every time, it's been completely different. Tonight, it tasted like a black bean burrito with a few chunks of chicken. The kids felt the same. Consistency isn't optional, it's absolutely necessary when trying to retain customers. Looks like Chipotle will now be the team stop. Baja fresh used to be one of my favorite. I hate when people knock the quality because it's very very good. My biggest issues is with the customer service. And when I say customer service, I do not mean the people behind the desk. It's 2025 and the most recent report shows over 55% of transactions are done with Apple Pay and you still don't have it . Now for someone like me a driver I stopped by to get some food to fill myself up with calories. I get to the end of my order and the person cash register tells me that they don't have Apple Pay! If Baja Fresh is a quality and service first business, why is it that I have to go out of my way in 2025 to get cash or make sure I have my card to come to you guys. Not trying to be that guy, but it seems like YOU lose out on a lot more business by not just having the right equipment in 2025! I love Baja Fresh and am sad we didn't start coming here sooner. It is close to our house, good food, great parking and pretty mellow. My husband came to this location a few weeks ago and got us a salad and a bowl. I was surprised by the quality of ingredients and the amount of food you get for cheap! Two adult meals is about 20 bucks and that includes your choice of protein. The food is about 1 and a half meals per hungry adult. The restaurant is clean with lots of seating and a nice parking lot for convenience. The worker that was working on Halloween was very friendly and was working very hard to get the customers orders out fast. This is my second time here and will return again. read more

Spent my college years and beyond eating at Baja Fresh in Corvallis. But, sadly, they closed a couple years ago. Revisited the chain recently at this location and was not disappointed! Super quality food made with fresh ingredients. Pricing is a little high for fast casual food, but that's due to the quality ingredients, I suppose. The creme de la creme of this restaurant for me, however, is the salsa bar. Oh, I'm drooling just thinking about all their delicious salsas! My personal fav is the Baja salsa. Wow, I'm wondering if this location is closing. I've alway got a good meal, fresh and filling from Baja Fresh. I ordered a chicken Baja bowl to go. It was ready quickly and for good reason, there was nothing fresh about the meal. The chicken was dry, they forgot to put pinto beans or cilantro on the order, the rice was either over cooked or old and the portion size was meager. I usually have leftovers, but most of this ended up in the trash. read more

Haven't eaten here in a long time and I should have stayed away! When I arrived I didn't smell any food, that should have been my first clue. First order was pinto bean and cheese burrito enchilada style. The pinto beans had no flavor. So I drowned it salsa which also had little flavor. 2nd order was fish tacos were like rubber. The fish salsa which has always been my favorite, tasted like they added mayo to it, eww. Won't be back. Bummer. read more

A and I strangely have a soft spot for Baja Fresh. We always go with the shrimp nacho burritos & the kid gets a quesadilla, which comes with a side of guac. I usually call in the order 15 minutes away and it's usually ready for us by the time we get there. Sometimes they have issues with phones and hang up on us, so that can be frustrating. Overall, people here are nice and the service is pretty quick for made to order! We have the salsa procuring down to a science. I get the hot ones and that charred black version and top it with cilantro. The nacho sauce and jalapenos in the burrito add just the right amount of heat and we always end up eating the kid's quesadilla. The tortilla soup in the winter is also great. Seemingly good staff and was happy with my food. Even the kids were happy with their food (and chips. lots of chips and salsa). They have patio chairs so we could let the rugrats run around while the adults talked outside. Why 2 stars then? I came back a few days later wanting more of their delicious guacamole, 20 minutes before closing time and they were already closed. All the doors locked and no acknowledgement that they should still be open, even though it was well before their posted closing time on the door (they even had the lights out.. what the heck!!). The fish was too fishy tasting for me and I asked them to make me a veggie burrito, which was delicious. The reason for the 5 star review is because they handled my complaint very well. If they don't want my catering business for a very large corporation then fine. Don't take our money and go out of business. It really is fresh food. Inspired Mexican? Not quite, but the whole family can find something here. If you pay attention, you can also eat a healthy plant based meal here. The salsas are a touch watery--they don't have concentrated flavors. But how cool is it that there IS a salsa bar with many options. Burritos are not too expensive, especially with the weekday happy hour $4.99 special. Burritos are So. Much. Better. eaten on-site while the grilled goodness is good, not soggy. Burritos are adequate later on. Tried to use the internet in here today, and it wasn't working, though supposedly it usually works. Baja Fresh is probably one of my fave dinner places, and I love burritos. When they get it right, they always make delicious burritos, in my opinion. I'm just saying burritos, because I always get the same thing, a bean and cheese kid's burrito with chicken, because it's so good. Now, you may ask why I always get a kid's meal. It's because I'm a kid! 3 or 4 times, Baja Fresh messed up our order. Last time we went, I'd earned a burrito, and they messed it up! But I got to eat my mom's burrito instead, which was pretty good. I had the Burrito Ultimo with chicken which was actually pretty decent. However, the salsa bar should have a EKG monitor and a defibrillator on hand in case someone goes into cardiac arrest. I think their food is a great splurge. When I want a quick meal and can't decide on what to get Baja Fresh is always towards the top of my list. Their salsa's are delicious and I really appreciate the offer of a few chips to eat while we wait for our meal. It's a nice, consistent gesture. My biggest draw is the coupons that come in the mail. I love this location I usually receive amazing service and great food. This past time was a different story with the food. We purchased 8 crispy fish tacos and 4 of them were terrible. The fish was the size of a stick. I couldn't even taste the fish it was so small and mostly batter. Unfortunately, my order was to go so I didn't see the tacos until we were already home. The young lady taking the order was extremely rude. She repeated our order back to us incorrectly (it was only 4 tacos), and then proceeded to basically yell at us because we corrected it.
