Coming here was by chance, as the place we wanted to go to had a 40 minute wait time. I ordered the Blackened Shrimp Quesadilla with black beans and rice as sides, it was so filling. The nachos version of this looked even better. The concept of this restaurant is cool. You can make any of the courses a nacho, taco, or quesadilla. It was fast service, we were waited on quickly and there were no complaints with the food. One thing I would change would be to offer FREE salsa. Overall, a nice experience. read more

Great California-style tacos, but on the slightly pricy side. I went on the first day of business and there were a lot of kinks (waited about an hour, maybe slightly less than that, for two tacos). Definitely try the cuban tacos. The tacos are slightly larger than the tacos you will find from places like Santo Coyote or Local Lime in Little Rock. My husband and I, along with our best friends, have decided to try a new restaurant every Friday night. We picked Baja Grill this past Friday and we each absolutely loved it! I was a bit shocked upon entering and seeing how small it is, but the atmosphere is awesome. Our server, Daniel, was great-especially for a busy Friday night. The mojito I had was good, though I had asked for extra mint and it didn't taste minty at all. The guacamole was perfect. The owner, Craig, came by and introduced himself and chatted with us for a few minutes. He brought us some of the hot sauce they make in house, and while it was hot, it was tasty! Therefore I was very cranky and expect at least a greeting within 10 minutes upon my arrival! The tacos and triple dipper app are both great. I had a new menu item last time: the caribbean jerk taco. Nice combo of sweet and spicy with flavorful chicken. Where this place falls short is service. Both the host and the bartender usually seem unhappy to be there. And the ac doesn't function properly. I went for Taco Tuesday, however, the dollar off still didn't make up for it being overpriced, and being of poor quality. The chicken was obviously not cooked that day because of it being incredibly dry and chewy even with being drenched in sauce. The portions were particularly small for its pricing at 4.00 a piece (3.00 on Taco Tuesday) for chicken tacos. 25 cents extra for the fish tacos. The cheese that they used was definitely a cheap Kraft cheddar cheese they got from their local Wal Mart. The black beans were from a can. Specifically tasted like Bush Beans (which you can also pick up from your local Wal Mart), I could even taste the aluminum residue. But the worst part being, they mistakenly put pork in my chicken taco. I don't eat pork and haven't for five years until I went there. I will not be returning and will advise others not to. read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. I've ordered from them many, many times and every time, the food is absolutely delicious. It's all great--tacos, burritos, cheese dip--and the salsa and chips are my favorite in Little Rock. You can tell everything is made fresh and the ingredients are high-quality. Just excellent. Every item my wife and I had was fantastic,including margaritas. The thing that impressed me the most was the owner there in the middle of the day on new year's eve spending time checking on and chatting with every table. This is one of my favorite lunch spots. The service is very friendly and lightning fast. My food usually arrives about 3 minutes after I order it. The prices are a bargain. Most of the menu items are simply a combination of meats, cheeses, vegetables, sauces, and garnishes that can be ordered as a taco, burrito, burrito bowl, or quesadilla as you prefer. The tacos are my favorite presentation and are definitely of the "gourmet food truck" style. My favorite is the Cuban, which boasts slow roasted carnitas style pork, sweet pickled cabbage, jicama slaw, fresh avocado, fresca cheese, and cilantro on a fresh soft corn tortilla. The chips and salsa are not complimentary and not particularly good. The salsa is on par with cheap bottles varieties, and the chips are tough and not crunchy. If you are one of those who insists every Hispanic meal must be accompanied by chips and salsa, you may be disappointed. However, I didn't penalize their score for this because everything else on the menu is not only delicious, but well thought-out and perfectly executed.
