This is a must stop for my family and I! We love mariscos and this place has yummy micheladas and food! The service is always nice. Even the sprite was nice and crisp just the way I like it! The quesabirria tacos could have been crispier, were too soggy. Other than that all was tasty!

Delicious food every time! Great service. Fun family atmosphere. If there's a crowd here, it is totally worth the wait. Ordered fish tacos, carne asada burrito & shrimp quesadilla. Full on Flavors!

I'm always on the lookout for quality Mexican seafood. We ventured to Baja Mar because it was recommended by a local. I called ahead and was able to get wait times and ask for a table (there's a wheelchair user in my group). The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. I ordered a large seafood tower, some seafood tostadas, and carne caramelos for four people. Quantities were large! We didn't finish and had plenty of leftovers. The seafood was great! The service was a little slow and the dining area could have been cleaner. I would still go back because of the value.

Terrible customer service and expensive! The food portion is not worth the price! I do not recommend this location!

Any business can…read moreget a pass for a mistake made, but it's inexcusable in today's world for a restaurant to give bad/disrespectful service. My partner is a passionate "foodie" who has been a successful food writer/blogger in LA and other cities throughout his career. We have been to so many amazing restaurants in Tucson as well as LA, Phoenix and Chicago. On Thursday, my partner tried to make a dinner reservation for Friday on their website and it was not working, so he called the restaurant and spoke to someone who said they did not have 5:30, but they had a 5:00 open, so we took that. He told her that he tried the website but it wasn't working and she said "that happens all the time". When we arrived on Friday at 5:00, the woman said she didn't see a reservation for us. My partner said that he called the day before and made the reservation, she was very rude, saying they were booked and she did not see a reservation for the 2 of us. My partner reiterated that he called Thursday (he's quite sure that he actually spoke with her) she said she'd try to get us a table, but we needed to be done by 6:30. She instructed someone else to seat us. Within minutes, someone approached our table and introduced himself as the owner and said very loudly and aggressively, so customers could hear "if you ever talk to one of my employees like that again, swearing and using foul language, you'll be banned from the restaurant!" I calmly said to him "he was not rude to her, he absolutely did not swear or use foul language, he does NOT do that." A good manager who cares about his customers would have handled this differently- "good evening. I understand you had issues making a reservation, tell me about that". We have been to so many amazing restaurants in Tucson, no need to patronize a place where the owner treats customers so poorly. We left and went to a very popular restaurant. The place was packed, yet we saw the owner who greeted us and asked if we had a reservation, we said "no". He said "that's ok, I'll get you a table". We had a great experience.

Have I finally found the promised land of fish tacos in Tucson? I think so…read more La Palma may be the closest experience in Tucson to the Baja fish tacos I could find throughout Southern California. Their big white food trailer is topped with a large blue tarp that shades a comfortable seating area. The location is kiddy corner from a gleaming white church at the opposite side of the intersection. In a short time, La Palma has become my go-to for fish tacos because the quality is consistent and they know how to dress the tacos with the right combination of flavors. Additionally, they make a mean horchata that compliments the meal perfectly. I'm probably in the wrong crowds because I have not heard other people mention La Palma while praising quite lesser places. I don't get it. All I can say is that for those SoCal folks who are passing through Tucson and are hankering for good fish tacos, pull up to La Palma and be overjoyed. P.S. The folks here are very nice and welcoming.

Service...superb, always feel welcomed, helpful and accomodating. 5 stars Food...interesting...some that i have had is stellar, some not. The breading on the fried shrimps is excessive, in my opinion. Just had the grilled fish quesedilla, and it was outstanding...cheese, garlicky, lots of fish..will have again...but I didn't care for the fish tacos. The cooked shrimp tostada is a winner 4 stars.

Just under $100.00 1/2 the crab is pictured here. 1/3 of shrimp is pictured also, 1 of 4 sausages "pieces" not whole sausage.(one was the tip of what looked like a hotdogs about the size of a nickel attached photo was the biggest "piece") we expected 4 sausages not 1/2 of 1 sausage cut into 4 small pieces (even manager agreed it should have been 4 FULL sausages, but did not give us what we paid for, never even offered. 2 small red potatoes about size of a silver dollar, we expected a regular size potato, not the huge ones but the ones you get in a 5lb bag at home. Ours was 1/2 that size x2. 2, 1/2 corn on cob not 2 full cobs as expected, but 1 cut in half. What a total rip off and false advertising!!! We complained the minute we saw how small the KING crab was. About 10 inches long total with about 3/4 inch in diameter in shell! Now I have had king crab before and the legs were at least 2 feet in length not 10". We went home hungry and $104.00 less in our pockets. Manager was our server and only gave us 10% off! This does even cover the cost of the sausages we paid for but never got. WE ARE NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN AND NOT RECOMMENDING!
